František Lízna, his life and work as an inspiration for social work and theology

This thesis focuses on the person and work of the Jesuit priest František Lízna SJ. Father František is known for his work with socially excluded people, homeless, prisoners and others who are on the periphery of society. The aim of this thesis is to find inspiration in Father František's activities, which will enable us further reflection and enrichment of social work. By inspiration is not meant something that implies new theory or brings new rules, but it is meant suggestion to reflect our motivations and ways of providing social work. Father František's believed that socially oriented activities are his vocation and calling in life. This thesis will first approach his life story that was marked by political persecution. It was this political persecution that paradoxically brought him closer to socially excluded people. Next two sections of this thesis will deal with his work with vulnerable people. Qualitative research makes it possible to discover Father František's activities, his attitudes and basic values. Interpretation of the collected material offers inspirational ideas for social work with clients of social services, as Father František, himself persecuted and imprisoned, had an experience as an "excluded person". The Low-Threshold Club in Humpolec - Yes or No?

This thesis "The Low-Threshold Club in Humpolec - Yes or No?" deals with a question whether it is desirable to establish a low-threshold club for young people. In Humpolec there are several institutions offering classic leisure time activities to young people. The department for social and legal children's protection takes care of the young who are in danger of negative impacts. Everyone spends their free time in a specific way. The results of a survey made in Humpolec among respondents aged over fifteen show how the local teenagers spend their free time. The final judgment about foundation of a low- threshold club is necessary to be based on adolescent- aimed theories. Everyone is influenced by their psychic experience. Adolescence is a period of human life, during which the positive influence play a very important role. Taking this into consideration, the Roman Catholic Church has brought in two pastoral conceptions which are currently being put into practice by the Youth Section of the Czech Episcopal Conference and the Prague Salesian province. Although both conceptions follow the same aim - to lead one to the God- they differ in ways how to achieve it according to the target group they primarily focus on. This bachelor thesis, entitled "Protection of human rights among people with learning disabilities within residential social services of organization DC Paprsek", aims to clarify human rights issues and the protection of people with learning disabilities, as well as to evaluate how the organization DC Paprsek protects the human rights of their residents within the residential social services sheltered housing. I describe a sence of human rights as a solution to a theory and practice in social work in my bachelor thesis. One of the groups most endangered by human rights abuses are people with learning disabilities. One part of my bachelor thesis pursues the problem of human rights protection of people with learning disabilities. Describing the social changes seen since 1989 is important in defining the concept of human rights. Pastorační rady farností v České církevní provincii jako realizace synodality v pastorační praxi Předkládaná dizertace se ve světle dnešní praxe pastoračních rad farností v české církevní provincii snaží prozkoumat různé modely a přístupy k práci pastoračních rad farností, teologicky je reflektovat z hlediska realizace synodality v církvi, naznačit některé možnosti synodálního chápání služby pastoračních rad a nabídnout některé praktické podněty pro podporu jejich služby v diecézích, aby pastorační rady farností mohly být účinnými nástroji pastorační služby farností jakožto učednických a sloužících komunit, které jsou na "společné cestě" (syn-ódos) do Božího království v kontextu dnešní společnosti. Srdcem celé dizertace je "prakticko-teologická reflexe" v páté kapitole založená na tvůrčím dialogu pramenů prezentovaných v kapitolách předchozích: (1) "kontextových východisek", (2) "situační reflexe", (3) "teologických základů" a (4) "organizačních inspirací". Renewal of the Augustinian Lay Community in the Czech Republic after 1989

The thesis Renewal of the Augustinian Lay Community in the Czech Republic after 1989 deals with the renewal of religious life in Augustinian laymen communities in the Czech Republic that started in the last decade of the 20th century. The development of this renewal is pursued against the backdrop of political and social changes in the Czech society, and in the Catholic Church in general. The Order of St. Augustine, its history, monastic rules, and spirituality, including its lay community, are introduced briefly too. A comparison of religious life both in the Czech Republic and in Italy, where it took place continuously for centuries, helps clarify the process of renewal.

Use of cards in psychotherapy

The thesis focuses on the description of the use of possibilities and limits provided by therapeutic cards in psychotherapy. There is a description of therapeutic schools where we can meet with the cards and see how these schools can work with them. Therapeutic cards are therefore classified as one of the projective techniques and are seen as a tool of enabling the client to gain deeper in self-knowledge and personal development. In the thesis I present various types of cards, especially those I have my own experience with. There is also mentioned which cards can be used for the same purpose. Using practical examples I will demonstrate how to work with the cards in different stages of psychotherapy and how they can be used in individual, couple, family and group psychotherapy; also how can various problems be solved by using them. How to orient social relations in times of crisis?

This work that called How to orientate social relationships in the crisis period? is concerned with works of three chosen authors of European philosophical phenomenological tradition in the twentieth and twenty-first centuries. They are Zygmunt Bauman (Pole), Byung-Chul Han (Korean living in Europe for longer time) and Anna Hogenová (Czech). This work has built according to uniform scheme for all three authors. It presents their life and work shortly then presents their ideas and conceptions in a longer face. It also presents response of their works by chosen authors from The Czech Republic and foreigners. Important ideas and conceptions have to serve as a possible way in a help for social work and also for description, analysis, possible development and solution of problems that arise in the crisis period or - as well as told with Bauman - in liquid times. This work has written i terms of Christian Crisis and Pastoral Work - Diaconia so it contents also reference to this subject of study. This work derives from works of three main authors and from works of next ones, too. An important part is a work with Holy Scripture.
