Mother Tongue in Children Attending Czech School without Borders in Paris

The aim of this Master thesis is to present language situation in relation to mother tongue of students of Czech school without borders (abbreviated as CSBH Paris). The thesis is divides into two parts -theoretical and practical. In the first part, we define terms such as mother tongue, the first language and the second (foreign) language. This thesis deal with bilingualism and multilingualism, which are important for determination of the target group of pupils of the CSBH Paris. With use of questionnaires applied on students and parents we can determine specific czech-french bilingualism of students of CSBH Paris. In the second part we analyze educational materials - textbooks that are used by teachers at CSBH Paris, and at the end we get to the subject of your practical research, outline specific teaching methods and design teaching materials that can be used in Czech language classes with regard to linguistic reality of pupils in the second grade of the Czech School without borders Paris. Expression of non-commitment in French et Czech language

The aim of this master's thesis is to describe certain aspects of the matter of la non-prise en charge (in English, the addressor's non-commitment to the truth of the proposition). The theoretical part defines someone else's opinion. At the same time it systemizes the prototypical linguistic instuments that are used to express someone else's opinion both in Czech and in French. The material for the empirical analysis was language corpora of the Czech National Corpus - in particular the corpus Intercorp Czech, French version 9, monolingual representative corpus SYN 2015 and the french journalistic corpus L'Est Républicain. The genre-oriented collections of the Intercorp corpus helped discover the distribution of corresponding linguistic instruments of expressing someone else's opinion through out text types, such as: fiction, journalism, legal texts and film subtitles. The other part related the matter of the addressor's non-commitment to the epistemic modality. Based on concrete examples issued from the language corpora the thesis interpeted the degree of distance of the speaker from the content of his statement and with it the increasing epistemic modality. The myth of Orpheus in the poetry of the 19th and 20th century

This bachelor thesis The myth of Orpheus in the french poetry of 19th and 20th century deals with the mythological references left in the work of significant authors of the modern French poetry. In the first part of the thesis, the Pre-literary and literary versions of the ancient myth of Orpheus are mentioned. We are focusing on the writings of Ovid and Virgil which are analysed. In the following chapters of the second part, constituent motifs are looked up in works of chosen authors from the period of romanticism to the forties of 20th century in connection with particular literary context. The specifical usage of the myth and his changes are observed and described. In the third part; all authors' adaptations are compared also with indication the importance of ancient mythology in the modern literature.
