Injury during provision nursing care

When performing nursing care, injuries can ocur that can end anger the health of health care professionals. These injuries include not only injuries with a sharp object, which also brings the risk of infectious diseases, but also back pain wich is caused by heavy physical exertion. The aim was to determine the number of stab wounds and cuts injuries and the useing of protective equipment. The next aim was to find out how often is common the back pain to medical staff and the interest about training in the prevention of back pain. The questionnaire survey was conducted at the University Hospital in Motol and at the Thomayer Hospital in the Department of Geriatrics and Aftercare and pulomonary ,internal and neurology departments, and the target group of respondents were general and practical nurses and paramedics. A total of 429 questionnaires were entered. 235 completed questionnaires were included in the study it self Results: It was found out that in the last year there were a total of 79 stab wounds or cuts. The most common circumstances of a sharp object injury were the disposal of sharp objects, the respondents most often chose the answer "after the procedure" and the third most common circumstance was the preparation of the work aids. Psychological stress of selected group of nurses at work

This bachelor thesis is focusing on perception psychic difficulties of nurses working at two surgical clinics which are Motol University Hospital and Královské Vinohrady University Hospital. The theoretical part of this thesis shall describe theoretical knowledge connected with solving problems and working difficulties of nurses. The emphasis is on psychic work difficulties and their subjective perceptions. In the empirical part there are introducing results from my own research, which has been done by Meister's survey format in January 2019. For compelling this survey participated 96 respondents. Purpose of this thesis is to get overview rate of subjective perception working difficulties of nurses. By the survey i found out that respondents responded that they have negative feelings about work difficulties connected with time press. From the results of factor analysis it turned out that respondents have not crossed line in relations of population norms for women's. That is the reason why it does not effect monotony and non specifically factors. Factors affecting sleep of patients in selected surgical intensive care units

The Bachelor thesis "Factors influencing sleep in patients attended at selected surgical units of intensive care" is focused on finding the most frequent factors that negatively affect sleep of patients treated at selected surgical units of intensive care in University Hospital of Motol. The thesis is divided into theoretical and empirical part. The theoretical part provides a brief overview of sleep and its disorders, investigation of sleep quality and its treatment. Furthermore, attention is paid to the most common factors affecting sleep. In the empirical part of the thesis, the methodology of data collection, organization of the survey itself and the method of data processing are described. An anonymous questionnaire survey was used to collect the necessary data. The target group of respondents were patients hospitalized at selected surgical units of intensive care at University Hospital of Motol. The shift work like one those factors which affect nurser's and paramedics's the quality of life who work in intensive care of hospital facility

The aim of this bachelor thesis: Shift operation as one of the factors influencing the quality of life of nurses and paramedics working in intensive care in a healthcare facility was to find out whether and to what extent shift performance affects the quality of sleep respondents and how the mentioned quality of sleep reflected in the overall quality of life of the survey participants. The bachelor thesis has a traditional structure. The theoretical part of the thesis contains a selection of knowledge related to the solved issue. Brief attention is paid to biorhythms, sleep, characteristics of shift operation, workload, stress, fatigue, etc. In the empirical part of the bachelor thesis are presented information about their own research and its main results. The survey was carried out in the form of a questionnaire (the questionnaire consisted of three standardized questionnaires supplemented by anamnestic social demographic data of the respondents). Questionnaires were submitted in three Prague hospitals. The sample examined had 114 respondents. The results of the survey are presented in large tabular overviews supplemented by commentary. Life Satisfaction And Pain

This bachelor thesis deals with the influence of pain on life satisfaction. It is divided into two parts - part theoretical and part empirical. In the first part I define basic concepts such as pain, painful behavior, anxiety, fear, life satisfaction, concept of life satisfaction, happiness. What are the differences in approach and quality of life in patients with chronic long-term illness, compared to volunteers without pain. I tried to describe the differences between anxiety and fear that are often confused with each other. At the end of the theoretical part are described methods of evaluation of fear of pain. In the empirical part is a quantitative research, which focuses on the detection of the intensity of the pain of fear in patients with chronic pain depending on gender, age and their current pain. Differences in the use of strategies to deal with fears between men and women are also being explored. Three questionnaire methods were selected - the Life Satisfaction Questionnaire (DOS), the Fear of Pain Questionnaire (FPQ-III) in the Czech version, The State-Trait Anxiety Inventory (STAI). To measure pain intensity, the VAS numerical scale was used. Questionnaire survey was attended by respondents of Motol University hospital and healthy controls.
Quality of life of dialysis patients

The aim of the bachelor thesis is to analyze the quality of life of dialysed patients and determine to what extent it has affected and reduced the illness of their lives and daytime activities. The thesis is divided into two parts. The theoretical part focuses on the history of hemodialysis, the description of the types of vascular inputs, the necessary dietary measures, the construction of the hemodialysis appliance, and the concept of quality of life and quality of life in dialysis patients. The empirical part includes a quantitative research, using a standardized KDQOL-SF ™ questionnaire supplemented by questions of its own design. The survey was conducted by 84 respondents in the dialing centers of Fresenius Medical Care in Prague 5 - Motol, Prague 10 - Vinohrady and Prague 9 - Vysocany. Conclusion. It was found that the quality of life in the standardized questionnaire domains is worse in the generic SF-36 than in the special section of KDQOL. Furthermore, it was found a statistically significant relationship between age and pain in dialysis patients. Burnout syndrome in the context of nursing

The content of this thesis is a research study investigating the relationship between burnout levels experienced by nurses working in the Czech Republic, Costa Rica, Spain and some US states. Through an online questionnaire, their degree of empathy, emotional attachment, and level of education were determined A questionnaire was developed by using the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI) in health personnel, Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) to measure of dispositional empathy, Experiences in Close Relationships - Relationship Structures (ECR-RS) to assess attachment patterns in a variety of close relationships and an Emotion Thermometers tool a simple rapid modular screening tool for detection and monitoring of emotional disorders in clinical practice. Part of the questionnaire are an anamnestic questions to also analyze the demographic data. The questionnaire was sent by email to nurses working in the above countries. The group comprised a sample of 1123 nurses represented in the study from September 2018 to January 2019.
Relationship of emotional attachment and empathy to burnout syndrome at nursing staff

This bachelor thesis deals with the relation of emotional ties, empathy and the burnout syndrome among health care personnal. And at the same time this thesis deals with the relationships between them with each other. The work is composed of two parts. The first part is theoretical, where the burnout syndrome, empathy and emotional attachment is characterized. The second part is devoted to the empiric research. This includes the results from the questionnaires that were filled in by a medical personnel. In the first of the questionnaire is examinened the burnout syndrome using the Copenhagen Burnout Inventory (CBI) for health personnel. In the next questionnaire, the Interpersonal Reactivity Index (IRI) is explored empathy and the Experiences in Close Relationships- Relationship Structures (ECR-RS) is about exploring avoidance and anxiety in relation to partner, friend and parents, mother and father. The content of the questionnaire investigation is inherently anamnestic questionnaire and informed consent. Anamnestic questionnaire is used for the processing of demographic data. All the results from the empirical research are included in the tables and graphs. A fully summary is in the discussion and in the final of bachelor thesis.
