Line for manufacturing parts for car engine volume thermoforming
Smola, Jiří ; Humlíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Omes, Jiří (advisor)
The aim of this diploma thesis is to design valve production line for combustion engines by volume forming with heat. The production of line will be 2 500 000-10 000 000 pieces per year. In the introduction of this thesis are described production technologies. Next part is about design of production lines and description of each machine for each technology. Then are made the basic calculations for designe for each machine.
Manufacturing of oil filter
Prokop, Karel ; Humlíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Podaný, Kamil (advisor)
This thesis deals with the proposal of an oil filter body manufacture. The oil filter body is a rotational part made of DC02 deep drawing steel. With respect to the material, geometry and the size of the production, a deep drawing technology which does not consider wall thinning, was chosen. It was decided about necessity of five drawing operations. Suitable presses for a notching line and the very drawing were selected. Next part of the thesis is given to the design of the rolling tool construction. A drawing die for the first operation is described in details, including the controls and drawings. The economic part compares variants with the requirements of monthly production of 50 000, 180 000 and 350 000 pieces respectively. Due to the economic study, the production of 180 000 pieces per month was chosen.

Smyček, Ondřej ; Humlíček, Jaroslav (referee) ; Omes, Jiří (advisor)
This project was made within the engineering studies and its aim was to design an assembly line to product assigned components of appropriate quality and quantity, using the technology of hot extrusion, both backward and forward. A series of technology steps was suggested, parameters necessary for individual operations were set and on this basis, adequate machines were chosen. The conclusion of this work contains technical-economical evaluation for the chosen options which expects the ten-year return with average production of 40 000 pieces.
Optical methods for characterization of semiconductor radiation detectors
Pekárková, Katarína ; Belas, Eduard (advisor) ; Humlíček, Josef (referee) ; Ledinský, Martin (referee)
CdZnTe and perovskites are promising materials for radiation detectors. Here, we address the main obstacles to their application, CdZnTe charging, and perovskite stability by photocurrent measurements. In the first part, models describing space-charge-limited photocurrents are developed, and an excellent agreement with measured data is obtained. The Drift-diffusion model provided us with a detailed defect analysis of CdZnTe. A linear rise of photocurrent at low voltage originates in the trapping of injected holes close to the cathode. We propose a simple procedure to evaluate space-charge density from photocurrents. The influence of space-charge, photoconductive gain, and shallow levels result in inaccurate evaluation of mobility-lifetime product via photoconductivity. The second part focuses on light-induced changes in perovskites. Laser-induced transient current measurements show improvements in hole lifetime and surface recombination in CH3NH3PbBr3 single crystals. We further study phase segregation in mixed-halide perovskites by Fourier-Transform photocurrent spectroscopy. The recorded gradual formation of an I-rich phase correlates with an increase in deep defect concentration, which we attribute to charged iodide interstitials. Phase segregation is associated with iodide migration through interstitial...
Transport and optical properties of CdTe/CdZnTe single crystals
Uxa, Štěpán ; Belas, Eduard (advisor) ; Humlíček, Josef (referee) ; Drbohlav, Ondřej (referee)
Title: Transport and optical properties of CdTe/CdZnTe single crystals Author: Štěpán Uxa Department: Institute of Physics of Charles University Supervisor: Assoc. Prof. Eduard Belas, PhD, Institute of Physics of Charles University Abstract: The thesis is focused on a study of internal electric field and temperature dependence of the absorption edge of CdTe and CdZnTe samples. In the first part of the thesis the transient-current technique (TCT) is used for investigations of electric fields within planar radiation detectors. The original comprehensive theory that links together TCT measurements with measurements of detector's charge-collection efficiency (CCE) is presented. This approach results in the development of two new iterative methods for processing of experimental data which can be used in any situation when the internal electric field can be approximated by a linear profile. In the second part of the thesis high temperature measurements of transmittance of thin polished CdTe samples are presented, leading to the estimation of the temperature dependence of the bandgap energy from calculated spectra of absorption coefficient. This is for the first time when measurements in a Cd overpressure have been performed which significantly reduces sample sublimation. Keywords: CdTe, transient-current technique,...
MOVPE GaN/AlGaN HEMT nano-structures
Hulicius, Eduard ; Kuldová, Karla ; Hospodková, Alice ; Pangrác, Jiří ; Dominec, Filip ; Humlíček, J. ; Pelant, Ivan ; Cibulka, Ondřej ; Herynková, Kateřina
GaN/AlGaN-based high electron mobility transistors (HEMTs) attain better performance than their state-of-the-art full silicon-based counterparts do, offering higher power, higher frequency as well as higher temperature of operation and stability, although their voltage and current limits are somewhat lower than for the SiC-based HEMTs. GaN/AlGaN-based HEMTs are a potential choice for electric-powered vehicles, for which they are approved not only for their power parameters, but also for their good temperature stability, lifetime and reliability. It is important to optimize HEMT structures and their growth parameters to reach the optimum function for the real-world applications. HEMT structures were grown by MOVPE technology in AIXTRON apparatus on (111)-oriented single-surface polished Si substrates. Structural, optical and transport properties of the structures were measured by X-ray diffraction, optical reflectivity, time-resolved photoluminescence and micro-Raman spectroscopy.\n
Photoconductivity, photoluminescence and charge collection in semiinsulating CdTe and CdZnTe
Zázvorka, Jakub ; Franc, Jan (advisor) ; Humlíček, Josef (referee) ; Oswald, Jiří (referee)
Title: Photoconductivity, photoluminescence and charge collection in semiinsulating CdTe and CdZnTe Author: Jakub Zázvorka Department: Institute of Physics of Charles University Supervisor of the doctoral thesis: prof. Ing. Jan Franc, DrSc., Institute of Physics of Charles University. Abstract: Cadmium telluride and its compounds with zinc are the material of choice in spectroscopic room temperature high energy radiation detectors. The development of the final device is influenced by many parameters, including material impurities and defects, homogeneity and surface preparation. This thesis offers a comprehensive investigation of the detector fabrication process and of the parameters and physical effects influencing the spectroscopic resolution and performance of the detector. Structure of deep levels is investigated through photoluminescence and correlated with other electro-optical measurements dealing with the impact of structural imperfections of the material and their effect. The influence of resistivity and photoconductivity homogeneity on the detector performance is studied through electrical measurement of the charge carrier transport and charge collection of the sample. Obtained results are explained using the Fermi level shift theory and confronted with a theoretical model and calculations. The...
