Marketing research of the Mizuno brand value
Hrušková, Karolína ; Voráček, Josef (advisor) ; Jarošík, Richard (referee)
Title: Marketing research of Mizuno brand value Objectives: The main objective is to determine the value of the Mizuno brand in terms of the perception of Czech customers from the volleyball market. To meet the main goal, it is necessary to find out what consumers have experienced with the brand. Based on the results of the research, measures will be proposed that could lead to an increase in the perceived value of the Mizuno brand on the Czech market. Methods: Marketing research was proven by a quantitative method of electronic surveying. An electronic questionnaire was used to collect data, through which 358 respondents record their answers. The research sample was composed of volleyball equipment users who answered questions related to Aaker's two dimensions of the brand, namely brand knowledge and brand loyalty. Results: Research has generally shown very positive results for the Mizuno brand. It is the most popular and most often associated brand with volleyball. Mizuno has a leading competitive position, which it should constantly protect from brands such as Asics and Nike. Of the two categories examined, the value of the Mizuno brand appears to be a stronger knowledge of the brand, as almost everyone in the volleyball field is aware of it. Brand elements are also well known among respondents,...
Population dynamics of Minuartia smejkalii
Hrušková, Karolína ; Münzbergová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Dostál, Petr (referee)
Serpentine areas in the Czech Republic form minor but important islands in the landscape with specific chemical properties such as high content of magnesium and other heavy metals. Due to this, serpentine is toxic for most plants. Increased demands on the survival and occurrence of plants lead to the emergence of serpentine specialists obligatorily specialized in these extreme habitats. Currently, serpentine areas are threatened by gradual overgrowth of sites, insufficient or poor site management and fragmentation or shrinkage of sites due to anthropogenic activities. Along with the disappearing localities, the serpentine specialists, are becoming highly endangered. Minuartia smejkalii is highly endangered serpentine specialist with an endemic occurrence in the Czech Republic with great need of its conservation. The aim of the work was to collect data on population dynamics of the species and identify habitat and climatic factors affecting population growth. We studied dynamics in all existing 7 populations during the period from 2006 to 2020 were collected. We linked these data to information on population dynamics, habitat and climatic factors and analysed them using Integral projection models (IPM). The study presents the importance of individual habitat and climatic conditions on the dynamics...

Modeling population dynamics of plants and possibilities of connecting population data with data on environmental conditions
Hrušková, Karolína ; Münzbergová, Zuzana (advisor) ; Dostálek, Tomáš (referee)
Dynamics of plant populations is influenced by climate and habitat conditions. To understand performance of plant populations and to find out their possible future development, it is important to identify these drivers and to describe their impact. Based on data of performance of individuals in a population, models are used to predict the population development. Nowadays there are efforts to include environmental drivers and climate changes into population models, which make estimations of population development more exact and realistic. It is important to define a suitable management on locations with endangered species and to target the management on critical transitions between life stages which impact the population development the most. These models indicate the most vulnerable transition stages of a life cycle. This bachelor thesis is a literature review which provides a brief summary of the current population models and it is trying to give their brief characteristics. It also provides examples of drivers which influence the dynamics of plant populations and describes possibilities of connecting environmental data and species population dynamics. The final part of the thesis briefly explains the research which is being done on the species Minuartia smejkalii. The influence of climate and...
IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 and impacts of their implementation on financial performance of a company
Hrušková, Karolína ; Štamfestová, Petra (advisor) ; Špička, Jindřich (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on new accounting standards IFRS 15 and IFRS 16. The aim is to examine how their implementation can affect financial performance of a company. Financial indicators reflecting these impacts are chosen based on identification of key methodical changes. The problem is described on the example of O2 Czech Republic a. s. By performing an impact analysis based on 2016 figures and currently available product and service offering, possible differences between company's results of 2016 and hypothetical results of the same year when using IFRS 15 and IFRS 16 are quantified. Finally, impacts on company's financial performance are interpreted in the context of chosen financial indicators.
Financing of fiscal deficits in the Eurozone
Hrušková, Karolína ; Izák, Vratislav (advisor) ; Klazar, Stanislav (referee)
This diploma thesis focuses on fiscal deficits in the Eurozone and possible consequences of their existence. The current state of public finances caused by insufficient fiscal responsibility of member states is discussed in the context of the debt and finance crisis, and related actions of the European Central Bank. The economic stability of the Eurozone is assessed in accordance with the theory of optimal currency areas. Using a monetary approach, the thesis presents circumstances that allow for a rise in inflationary pressures, also as a possible consequence of a debt monetization. The possible development of the indebtedness in the Eurozone and the critical points of public finance sustainability are discussed in the final part.
