Design and simulation of manufacturing systems using simulation software for advanced planning and scheduling
Konečný, Štěpán ; Simeonov, Simeon (referee) ; Hromková, Ivana (advisor)
The Bachelor’s thesis deals with problematics of discrete-event simulation of production systems and clarification of basic concepts related to simulation, system, model and modelling using software for creating simulation models. The aim is to create simulation model of production line for paper boxes and to find the optimal solution that would meet the requirements for increase in productivity, eliminating downtime for individual machines while maintaining minimum production costs. The creation of the production system is solved in the simulation software Tecnomatix Plant Simulation 14. Furthermore, several solutions were designed and evaluated, from which the optimal solution with the lowest costs was selected.
APPROACH TO REDUCING LEAD TIME IN MANUFACTURING SYSTEMS
Hromková, Ivana ; Škopán, Miroslav (referee) ; Šťastný, Jiří (referee) ; Mostýn, Vladimír (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
Presented PhD thesis aims at development of new methodologies and approaches to reduce lead times in production systems. Therefore the thesis examines in detail the design of new, more comprehensive approaches to shortening lead times. The dissertation describes the methodology of using these approaches in production systems, it is suggested their inclusion in the control structure of production and adequate managerial support for the successful application of these new approaches in the industry is developed. The first part summarizes current knowledge in the field of reducing lead times. The various methods that can be used for reducing lead times are defined and described, from which is selected discrete simulation of manufacturing systems as a suitable method for the purposes of issue development. The next part of this work is therefore devoted to simulation approach to reducing lead times and the factors that affect them, such as processing time, size of the batch, queue lengths, etc. In this part is also discussed the use of information technologies (programming languages, libraries, and software tools) that enable efficient creation of simulation models. The second part is focused on industrial applications implemented to reduce production lead times. Specific simulation analysis deal with, for example, reduction of the lead time for manufacture of surgical instruments, screws, slats, but also transport systems, optimization of production orders input to the production system, the issue of supply, etc. The second part also describes a practical approach to data transfer to / from the simulation model, simulation software connection to the ERP database of enterprise and energy intensity of production. The conclusion summarizes the findings that were detected on the issue of reducing lead times, and within the chosen methodology, simulation of manufacturing processes indicates possible further progress in the research and practical applications.
Algorithms for queues ans warehouse controll of the conveyor system
Vidlička, Adam ; Simeonov, Simeon (referee) ; Hromková, Ivana (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor thesis is to create a model of conveyor system with storage using Tecnomatix Plant Simulation. The methods within the model are programmed to control the material flow between conveyors and storage. The data are obtained by simulation of combinations of choosen programmed methods. The data are compared and the most suitable combination for the created model is choosen.
Design of Label aplicator for paletizing commodity before expedition
Frank, Vojtěch ; Hromková, Ivana (referee) ; Knoflíček, Radek (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is focused on the issue of label application for palletized goods before expedition, specifically by using automatic label applicators. The solution contains the evaluation of current state of labeling and recherché including applicators that are being used. The overall outcome of the thesis is a proposal of a new mechanical construction solution as well as a calculation of its expected price. The result is a summary of a current state of labeling of palletized goods. There has also been an ideal solution of labeling offered for customer- specified orders.
APS system application for planning and scheduling
Zápotočný, Václav ; Hromková, Ivana (referee) ; Simeonov, Simeon (advisor)
Master's thesis, made at the Institute of Production Machines, Systems and Robotics, aims, evaluate existing production of slope mowers manufactured by Dvořák – svahové sekačky s.r.o., and then perform data collection for obtaining complete technological processes of production. With the APS (Advanced Planning and Scheduling) system, simulate and design an optimized solution, with a view to significantly reduce the required storage current inventory of manufactured parts for assembly of that slope mower.
Design of Microrobots – microworld technology
Kamrla, Jan ; Hromková, Ivana (referee) ; Simeonov, Simeon (advisor)
This Bechelor thesis aims to introduce problematics of designing microrobots and microsystems. The thesis emphasizes technology, which are suitable for aplication in the microworld. The conclusion is summary and future development of microrobots.
Paint shop Process Improvement through Predictive Simulation
Machačová, Simona ; Hromková, Ivana (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
This thesis focuses on the use of simulation to optimise processes in a paint shop. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the existing production processes and suggest improvements using simulation. In the analytical part of the thesis, the processes in the paint shop are described in detail and Petri nets are used to describe the logic of the processes in the paint shop. In the design part of the thesis, the problem and objectives are formulated, and the design of the simulation model is presented. The design describes the elements and methods used in the Plant Simulation software in which the model is created. Furthermore, different scenarios are simulated to optimize the painting process and the deposition areas. The simulation results are compared with the actual state of the paint shop. Finally, the results are discussed and recommendations are proposed to optimize the paint shop processes using simulation. This work presents new approaches to process optimization in industrial manufacturing.
Digital twin of production system using discrete simulation and MES
Mařata, Michal ; Hromková, Ivana (referee) ; Simeonov, Simeon (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the methodology of creating a Digital Twin of the production system and usage of discrete simulation for production scheduling. Digital Twin (also Model or Shadow) is a Digital Model of a real, for example production system, on which its operation can be simulated. The work also theoretically discusses the MES (Manufacturing Execution System), performance characteristics OEE and KPI.
Simulation of different methods of transportation of a shaft on a lathe
Drábek, Vojtěch ; Simeonov, Simeon (referee) ; Hromková, Ivana (advisor)
This thesis focuses on computer simulation of manufacturing processes. In the first part, which is in the form of a research, the problem of simulation of real production processes, its applicability and possible limiting factors are discussed. In the second part of the thesis, the simulation of the operation of a specific production workplace focused on shaft manufacturing is practically processes and subsequently evaluated in the Tecnomatix Plant Simulation environment. The work simulates three variants of workplace layout - past, present and considered for the future.
Computer simulation of an automated rack stacker
Chalupa, Pavel ; Juříček, Martin (referee) ; Hromková, Ivana (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis is to create a simulation model of the High Bay Storage using the simulation program Tecnomatix Plant Simulation. In the first part of this thesis, a software analysis was carried out, Plant Simulation was selected to process the problematics of discrete simulation of production systems. This is followed by an explanation of the terms model, simulation run and system. Additionally, discrete and continuous simulations are compared in this part of the thesis. This section also explains the problematics of High Bay Storage, including their automation options, stackers and storage stocks management. Palletization together with different types of automated storage and retrieval systems are discussed as well. The second part of this thesis contains a simulation model of the warehouse with multiple types of storage and retrieval systems. All these types are evaluated, and the most effective option is selected.
