Old Age and Contemporary Society

Development of community can be understood from the level of care of seniors. This study is focused on questions concerning this problem. The questions how today's society is opened to older people, how seniors are concerned in everyday life of the society, which services and care are accessible to seniors in our society are studied. Gerontology, processes of aging and sicknesses connected with it are also mentioned. The main goal of the work is to present a new view on broad issue of growing old and old age in contemporary society. The study starts from The Czech National Program of Preparation for Old Age 2003-2007 and observes how i t is successful to carry out this program. Also further current problems connected with aging are studied.
Efficient competency model

Methodology of competencies developed from researches focused on determining the properties and characteristics which are involved in the distinction between average and superior performance. A contribution of competency model is that it helps employees to identify the success criteria required to be successful in their current or future job. Determination of requirements for certain positions allows subsequently to compare a current level of skills of employees with the required ones. An effective competency model supports and contributes to the objectives strategy goals of the organization. The theoretical part of the work summarizes the current approaches and findings on this issue. In the practical part, we test and verify competency model. Using a revision of one competency model and creating a new model subsequently we check whether the model used in the company reflects really the strategic needs and whether is linked to others HR processes. For this purpose, the model is subjected to complete analysis that determines gaps and opportunities for improvement. Results are implemented in the solution of the new situation. Technical professions and their employability. (Expectations of students and graduates associated with the future work praction).

This study discusses the lack of technical professions at the labour market which is experienced by employers in industry areas. It describes the economic situation in the Czech Republic and characterises the labour market, its structure and labour force requirements. It mainly focuses on the analysis of tertiary education. The study also points out possible future development in these industries, for comparison is the analyse in other EU countries enclosed. The research, which is one of the main parts of this work is focused on the university students and graduates with technical specialization. The aim of this study is to suggest possible measures and recommendations in the area of personal strategy and scarce workers approach in the market.
