Analysis of the effectiveness of governance - the comparison of selected cities and municipalities in Czechia: the political-geographical aspects

The main topic of the research was the evaluation of the effectiveness of local governance with an emphasis on the approaches of selected cities in the Czechia to financing local development. The basis is an analysis of the content of strategic documents, the definition of development policies, and their long-term financing (in the period 2002-2020), including the use of EU funds. In the next part, using media analysis of local online newspapers, local political conflicts concerning the budget in the surveyed cities were identified. The result is a proposed composite index of local government efficiency measuring four areas of efficiency - public participation, political stability, local development financing, and the role of the city in micro-regional development. Limits of efficiency and sustainability of the functioning of the municipalities in Czechia - example of ORP Litomyšl and Chrudim

The subject of the research of the master's thesis is the boundary of the effective and sustainable functioning of small municipalities in the Czech Republic, specifically in the ORP (municipalities with extended powers) Litomyšl and Chrudim. In the Czech Republic, the issue of sustainability and efficiency of small municipalities is a long-term problem that still has not been resolved. Civic amenities are also relevant. Due to the low population size of the municipalities, they often do not reach the corresponding standard. The first part of the thesis presents the institutional context of the development of public administration and self- government in the Czech lands, the Czech Republic and Czechoslovakia. The second part describes theoretical concepts, indices, measures describing the efficiency of municipal governments. The third part of describes the method of selecting the territory, the description of the data and the composition of the set of indicators, which are developed in the analytical part. The analytical part determines the approximate population size from which the municipality is able to ensure basic standards of services for its citizens and at the same time function sustainably. Effect of sports aerobics competitors to posture for the age categories seniors

Title: Effect of sports aerobics competitors to posture for the age categories seniors Objectives: To determine the diagnosis and assess the impact aerobic sports on posture in older age groups in different conditions. Get information on the use of assistive exercise in training units from club coach and selected individuals. Compare the results of diagnostic posture with information regarding use of the compensation exercise. Recommend solutions to the problem in case of deviations from the correct posture. Methods: The work was acquired data with literature study, test methods, questionnaire, observation and interview methods. Questionnaire to help choose the method tested by the diversity of individual responses. Thanks literature tests were designed to evaluate the posture of selected individuals. Method interview with the coach and selected individuals helped to specify the questions on the use of assistive exercise in training units. Results: Allowed me to see that by tested sports aerobics competitors there are different variations of unilateral posture due to overloading and inadequate compensation. Joga like a tool hypokinesis reduction

Title: Yoga as a Solution to Hypokinesis Objectives of work: The aim of this work is be to determine whether yoga is like a set of physical and mental patterns and exercises, suitable and sufficient means to address hypokinesa, which is currently a serious problem of modern society. Method: This is a theoretical work, namely the vital importance lies in the study of literature. Subsequently in the analysis of retrieved informations and the deduction of new knowledge that will result from the study of literature. Results: Based on study of the literature and our own experience we come to the conclusion that yoga is an appropriate means to solve hypokinesis, but only if it is practiced in tis entirety, when it is accepted as a lifestyle with all areas of impingement, not only as a physical activity. Relationship between pulmonary function and function of the diaphragm in patients with obstructive pulmonary disease

Problém: Obstrukce dýchacích cest a průtoková limitace, způsobená chronickou obstrukční plicní nemocí (CHOPN) nebo astma bronchiale (AB), může způsobit změny tvaru, pozice a pohybů bránice v důsledku zvýšení plicních objemů. Hypotézy: U pacientů s obstrukčním respiračním onemocněním se bude funkce bránice lišit oproti kontrolní skupině zdravých jedinců, což se projeví na jejím postavení a rozsahu pohybu. Existuje vztah mezi plicními funkcemi a polohou a pohyby bránice. Cíl: Cílem práce bylo zjistit, zda pozice, tvar a pohyby bránice u ležících pacientů s průtokovou limitací během maximálních dechových a posturálních manévrů se liší od tvaru, pozice a pohybů bránice za stejné situace u jedinců bez patologie respiračního systému. Zkoumali jsme rozdíly mezi pacienty s CHOPN, pacienty s AB a zdravými jedinci. Cílem bylo také stanovit tyto vztahy v kontextu vážnosti průtokové limitace, resp. obstrukce dechových cest. Metodika: Soubor tvořily 3 skupiny probandů, celkem 31 dospělých: 10 jedinců s klinicky stabilním AB (5 žen a 5 můžů), 11 jedinců s klinicky stabilním, středně těžkým CHOPN (7 mužu a 4 ženy) a kontrolní skupinu tvořilo 10 zdravých jedinců (5 mužů a 5 žen). Všichni probandi podstoupili komplexní měření plicních funkcí a kardiopulmonální zátežové vyšetření. Bránici jsme vyšetřovali pomocí...

An Analysis of the efficiency of local authorities' budgets - local and regional level of Ústecký region

The aim of the diploma thesis is to evaluate the efficiency of local governance in selected municipalities in the Ústecký region based on analysis of the use of finance. The theoretical part is devoted to the issues of public administration, governance and local budgeting with emphasis on the possibilities of evaluating the efficiency. The research focuses on the analysis of current and capital expenditure on development activities and solving local and regional problems - unemployment and social exclusion - for the period 2002 - 2012. Further research focuses on the use of EU funds. It was able to demonstrate the existence of significant differences in the efficiency of governance on the example of surveyed municipalities. Most of the local governments support short-term projects, whose benefits for local development are minimal, instead of investing in development and problem solving.
