BAROQUE FEELING OF LIFE
Ciprová, Barbora ; Havlík, Vladimír (referee) ; Smetana, Matěj (advisor)
I perceive the thesis as the outcome of longer-term considerations over the relationship between architecture and music, as well as the concepts of genius loci, memory of place, or site-specific art. Thanks to the closer encounter with the Broumov landscape and the churches designed by the architects Kryštof and Kilián Ignác Dientzenhofer, located in it, these reflections were connected with the term Baroque. The work is an experiment exploring the diversity of contemporary musical approaches responding to unified task based on the principles of Baroque architecture.
A Prayer for Something That is Departing
Belzová, Denisa ; Havlík, Vladimír (referee) ; Zálešák, Jan (referee) ; Rozbořil, Blahoslav (referee) ; Stratil, Václav (advisor)
The aim of the dissertation is to interpret genius loci of the industrial and periphery landscape in painting and photography. Symbolic aspects originating from the atmosphere of the place are analyzed on the basis of concrete artists, works and resources. Another aim of the dissertation is to map contemporary Czech artists. Their works are put into context with roots in the arts history and with foreign artists. Apart from paintings, the photographic works are discussed. However, only names and works that can illustrate the concerned content areas have been selected.
Performance Art as a Border Form of Artistic Expression
Vatulíková, Andrea ; Daněk, Josef (referee) ; Havlík, Vladimír (referee) ; Chamonikolasová, Kaliopi (advisor)
While taking into account the field of study of performing arts, I assume that the category called „performing arts“ underwent many reforms in the 20th century, making it almost impossible to set clear boundaries between theatre, dance and performance art. Therefore I deal with their common ground that I call the zero point and that allows me to explore means of expression of human body and also time – space dimension of live action. The zero point is located in the pelvic region of the body and it is the center of stability, balance and life enegry. In my dissertation I focus on the analysis of physical trainings that work with the zero point in theater, dance and performance arts. Primary output of this work is then analysis of physicality as culturally encoded construct and the practical part of disseration is focused on the realisation of the point zero symposium.
Archives and documentation of performance art: at the intersection between history and myth.
Písaříková, Jana ; Šedivá, Barbora (referee) ; Havlík, Vladimír (referee) ; Horáková, Jana (referee) ; Ruller, Tomáš (advisor)
The PhD thesis deals with the role of archives in the contemporary artistic and curatorial practice, with an emphasis on the performance art. It also analyses the creation process, methodology and the contents of selected personal and institutional archives in both Czech and international contexts. The objective of the paper is to answer the following questions: In what way is the documentation and subsequent archiving of process-oriented forms of art performed? How is the history of the contemporary art formed and interpreted through these archives and with the help of the artistic and curatorial practice? To what extent are we able to reconstruct the history from records and performance documents that are only fragmented, thus making a reference to a real action? Do the archives leave some room for misinterpretation, creating a myth or personality cult through its system of classification of knowledge? How indeed is the performance art related to its own history; how is this history perceived by the performer alone; and how is it approached by the professional audience? The paper will also include the analysis of current state and possible solutions to the operation of the archive of the Faculty of Fine Arts, which is related to opening a dialogue among artists, theorists and institutions that might be interested in better accessibility of such an archive.
Everything I ever wanted to write but was afraid to draw
Polák, Tadeáš ; Havlík, Vladimír (referee) ; Vlková, Veronika (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis takes the form of an author's book called Pesůňova cesta and is a colourfully illustrated story of a five-day journey of a fictional animal, half dog and half horse - pesůň. In the twenty-seven short chapters of the book he discovers the world and himself. The book oscillates between genres and collage-like changes of form, and it is impossible to say clearly what age group of readers it is aimed at, in the words of the writer Kurt Vonnegut, so perhaps "anyone who might be interested". The work is the result of the author's long-standing interest in the written word, drawing and illustration, and self-publishing books and zines.

The diploma thesis deals with civic credit unions in Telč between the years 1867 and 1914. It outlines briefly the historical development of credit unions in the Czech lands, which is supplemented by a description of the legal standards that regulated establishment and administration of credit unions during the period of our interest. Instructions
Kopčil, Tomáš ; Havlík, Vladimír (referee) ; Ruller, Tomáš (advisor)
In my work I deal with how to do things. Instructional videos, printed paper instructions for using the product or performing an artistic event - all serve only as a platform for self-realization. The condition in the approach is not strictly following the established procedures. Rather, it is about reassessing what is essential at the moment.

HAVLÍK, Vladimír
The bachelor thesis deals with elections to the municipal council in Telč between the years 1848 and 1914. It is divided into three parts. In the first one, we introduce the cultural and economical background of the city and it is supplemented with inclusion of the city into the system of national administration during the period of our interest. On the basis of available documentation, the second part tries to characterize legal standards dealing with elections and municipal council, more precisely a Temporary city council, Municipal regulations of Margaviate of Moravia and Electoral regulations of Margaviate of Moravia. The third and the key part is focused on municipal elections in Telč, and nominal lists of the members and deputy officers are put together mainly on the basis of the commitee meeting reports.
The Essence of Performance
Martinek, Filip ; Havlík, Vladimír (referee) ; Ruller, Tomáš (advisor)
Openness to a specific experience of being and the possibility of achieving relative perfection at the maximum horizon is essential, as is the subsequent move beyond this horizon, that is to say the fulfillment of its potential at its maximum level, culminating in the performative act. This leads us to a link that is the confirmation of authenticity, the reality of presence. Such presence is then autotelic. Potential, updated as such, is in its presentation deprived of hedonistic selfishness.
