Mnemonic in Teaching Adults a Foreign Language

The aim of this thesis is to analyse a foreign language teaching regarding the use of mnemonics as special procedures which lead to memorize the curriculum. The thesis deals with types and phases of the memory and with the process of forgetting. It defines the term learning, describes learning styles and characterizes aspects of effective learning. Subsequently the thesis is concerned with the procedures for consolidation of information in the memory, the attributes of effective revision and above all the mnemonic procedures. The attention is payed to principles, types and effectiveness of mnemonics and their implementation into the foreign language teaching. The next part deals with the aspects of andragogical didactics, their specific application and with androdidactic principles. Afterwards the thesis pursues the qualitative research whose aim was to analyse the use of mnemonics within the foreign language teaching. It is based on observation method in courses for adults at two language schools.

Title: Physical and leisure activities for seniors in Prague 6 Objectives: The aim of the master thesis is mapping programs in leisure and outdoor exercise options for seniors in Prague 6 and then suggest their improvements. Methods: Case study, personal interview, content analysis, analysis of primary and secondary data. Results: Analysis of physical and leisure activities for seniors in Prague 6 showed the wide range of programs for seniors. Barrier and motivation of older people in the use of this offer has been especially their health. Based on the information were designed measures for the city of Prague 6. Occupational stress and coping strategies

The theoretical part of the bachelor thesis focuses on the general concept of stress and its biological and psychological aspects. There are defined the specific signs of occupational stress, operating stressors and other context. Attention is also paid to coping strategies; the thesis presents some well-known theories of coping and their description. The thesis also deals with methods of research in the field of stress and coping strategies and it also presents basic information about the target group of assistants, who play an important role in the practical part of the thesis. The practical part of the thesis consists of case studies of workers on assistant positions. The case studies investigate the nature of their work and following stressors, subjective assessment of work-related stress and preference of coping strategies. In the final discussion, there are defined common features identified in case studies and they are confronted with theoretical background. Barriers to effective coaching in organization

This diploma thesis deals with the topic of coaching in organizations, respectively the topic of barriers to coaching in organizations that prevent its effectiveness. Firstly, the attention is paid to the definition of coaching, its basic principles, forms and specifics to other developmental methods. Further described is the use of coaching in organizations, the reasons for its implementation, its benefits and most of all the barriers that may occur. Text is based on the specialized literature and the data from qualitative research. The focus is on the perspectives of the parties that participate in the coaching process - guarantors of coaching, coaches and coachees and how these actors perceive the potential barriers to coaching, not only during the coaching process, but even before its initiation and after its completion. Analysis of development programs for students and graduates

The bachelor thesis deals with development programs for students and graduates in organizations. The first part of the work is devoted to the theoretical basis of talent management and talent development methods that are implemented in the programs. The second part of the work focuses on the analysis of the development programs for students and graduates in selected organizations. The basic criteria of comparison are determined and described for each of programs and subsequently evaluated. Electronic Support of Personnel Management

4 SUMMARY The diploma thesis relates to possibilities and using of electronic support in the human resource management. The thesis deals with the development, general types of the electronic support, using of specific types of electronic support in different personnel activities. There are also outlined trends and tendencies in the near future of electronic support in the human resource management. A part of the thesis is dedicated to an empirical study. The study is focused on the current situation of using electronic support in chosen personnel activities (such as analysing of job description, attraction, recruiting, personnel administration, adaptation, compensation and benefits, evaluation, trainings and internal communication). The respondents are organizations located in the Czech Republic. The empirical study uses the semi-quantitative approach and it is realized by the electronic semi-structured questionnaire. Development of soft skills trainers competencies: creating educational concepts

This thesis is devoted to the theme of the development of competencies of soft skills trainers. A special attention has been paid to the various roles that a trainer has when performing his/her job and the related competencies that are essential for high-quality mastering of this profession. The focal points are the possibilities of development of trainers' teaching competence within formal and informal education that a trainer has during preparatory as well as further education of trainers with special emphasis on the methods that can be employed to achieve this education. The empiric part of this thesis maps the ways of acquiring trainer's competencies as they occur in practice, their connection with further professional development. At the same time it verifies the suitability of the methods that are used to develop competencies. Based on the analysis of information provided by the respondents and study of relevant literature, a methodological concept of education of a trainer has been developed.
Ethical aspects of employing social networks in the recruitment process

This thesis deals with ethical aspects of employing social networks in personnel management. Selected social networks with their benefits and limits in this field are presented. It is focused on the recruitment and selection processes from the ethical point of view and possible risks of using social networks. The thesis is based on previous findings mostly from foreign scientific sources. The attitude of human resources specialists to using social networks in the recruitment process is discussed. In a qualitative survey, the attitude of human resources specialists from organizations and from recruitment companies is compared to find out possible differences.

Workers' motivation in the period of young and late middle adulthood

This thesis focuses on the topic of motivating workers, particularly on two groups of workers - workers in the life period of young adulthood and workers in the period of late middle adulthood. In the introduction the reason for chosing this topic is explained, there are also defined the key words of this problematic and the classic motivation theories; the overview of the motivation theories focused on work environment follow afterwards. Also the findings of developmental psychology, concentrating on the life period of young and late middle adulthood and its differences are presented. Not only the classic literature was the source for this thesis; also many researches that were carried out in recent years and that are focusing on finding out the main difference of motivation of these different groups of workers were the base for this thesis. In the last part of this work I analyse my own findings that are based on the interviews I made with young and older workers and I compare these findings with the findings presented in the international researches. Finally, I state that even though there are some differences in factors that motivate young and older workers and it is necessary to take these differences into account, in the elemental aspects the factors that motivate workers are the same for...
