Title: Mental health applications and their use by university students Author: Bc. Lenka Petrželková Department: Psychology Supervisor: PhDr. Anna Frombergerová, Ph.D. Abstract: This thesis focuses on the use of mobile apps to promote mental health by university students. The aim of the thesis is to analyse the difficulties that university students have in accessing these apps, the positive and negative aspects they perceive about the apps and the reasons that lead students to uninstall the app or not to continue using it. The theoretical section includes chapters on the development and classification of apps, the approaches used within apps, and maps the effectiveness of these apps, their benefits, and their limitations, including ethical limitations. Within the theoretical part, specific applications are also presented and analysed, which are then the focus of the empirical part of the thesis. One of the chapters is devoted to the mental health of university students. The empirical part used a mixed research design that included two research methods, namely questionnaire and interview. Evaluation of the benefits of the primary prevention program Nevypusť duši for its participants

The diploma thesis focuses on the evaluation of the primary preventive programme Duševní zdravověda, which deals with mental health issues and is implemented in secondary schools. The aim of this thesis is to evaluate the effectiveness and benefit of this programme for its participants. Another aim was also to find out if variables such as gender, age and experience with mental illness of the respondents can influence their attitudes towards mental health. In the theoretical part of the thesis are defined mental health and illness, primary prevention and the current state of school primary prevention in the field of mental health are also defined. Also identified are protective factors that primary prevention programs dealing with mental health should support. Principles of effective primary prevention programmes and examples of proven mental health prevention programmes are presented. The preventive programme Duševní zdravověda and the non-profit organization Nevypusť duši, which implements it, are described here. The research group consist of 1898 respondents (1655 respondents from the experimental group and 243 from the control group). LGBT+ students: What teachers think and do concerning to them

The bachelor thesis focuses on exploring teachers' attitudes towards LGBT+ students and LGBT+ issues within schools. The theoretical section of the thesis establishes fundamental concepts and phenomena related to LGBT+ adolescents, as well as attitudes and prejudices towards LGBT+ students. The primary emphasis is on LGBT+ students and issues in the school environment. The objective of this study is to investigate the attitudes of secondary school teachers towards their LGBT+ students. For the research, a qualitative approach was employed, and data collection was carried out through individual semi-structured interviews, using pre- prepared question set. The interviews involved 5 female and 3 male respondents. The data gathered was then analyzed using thematic analysis, leading to the identification of 13 themes and 20 sub-themes. These findings are visually represented to enhance clarity and to demonstrate potential interrelationships among them. The results of this study eveal the complexity of teachers' attitudes, highlighting the diverse components that contribute to their perception of a singular subject. Classrooms with LGBT students: case studies

AJ This diploma thesis deals with secondary school class groups, where are students with a minority sexual orientation/students from the LGBT+ community. In the class collectives, peer relationships and the functioning of this entire class collective is examined with the attitude towards the LGBT community. In this diploma thesis, the focus is on the entire class collectives, not only on students with a minority sexual orientation/from the LGBT+ community or, conversely, students with a heterosexual orientation/cisgender identity. The research was conducted in the form of 2 case studies, specifically, a questionnaire survey, semi-structured interviews with a few randomly selected students and semi-structured interviews with class teachers were used. The goal of the research was not only to describe the entire class group, but also to grasp the LGBT+ topic more comprehensively and understand the situation that is based on the presence of a student from the LGBT+ community in the class group - from the point of view of students from the LGBT+ community, as well as students with a majority sexual orientation/identity. Experiencing atopic eczema from the perspective of young adult women

The presented master thesis is focused on the issue of atopic eczema. The aim of the thesis was to map the experiences of young adult women with atopic eczema, with an emphasis on their subjective experience of this disease. The thesis is divided into a theoretical part and an empirical part. The theoretical part of the thesis introduces the reader to the topic. It defines the term atopic eczema, describes its specifics, forms, etiopathogenesis and treatment options. It also deals with the psychosomatic approach as one of the possible approaches to this disease. In the theoretical part, the psychosocial aspects of atopic eczema are also taken into account, including the impact of the diagnosis on the quality of life of adult patients. The theoretical part is followed by the empirical part. Here are presented the results of a qualitative study in which eight semi-structured interviews were conducted with young adult women who were diagnosed with atopic eczema during their lifetime. By analyzing the data obtained, nine main categories were identified, which capture the individual experiences of women with atopic eczema.
