Impacts of tourist urbanisation: case study of the municipality Čeladná

This Diploma Thesis deals with the manifestations of tourist urbanisation on a municipality, in this case the Municipality of Čeladná, which is currently among the most dynamic and developing municipalities in the Moravian-Silesian Beskydy region. The thesis aims to analyse the current state of the municipality and determine the impacts of development on tourism and on the socio-economic and physical environment within the municipality, with emphasis on the analysis of tourism, second housing, constructions and project developments in Čeladná, and the opinions of individual stakeholders who are affected by this matter. In order to achieve the goals proposed, qualitative research was undertaken which included fieldwork and interviews which were conducted with community residents, municipal leader, owners of second homes, CHKO Beskydy management, local environmental groups - such as Beskydčan, and owners of accommodation facilities in the municipality. Špindlerův Mlýn from the point of view of a tourism area life cycle concept

Špindlerův Mlýn is the most important centre of winter tourism and skiing in the Czech Republic. In the Czech Republic it is one of the busiest tourist destinations. This research is an application of tourism area life cycle theory on this particular destination. The purpose of the work is to find out in which phase of the life cycle this destination is and to predict the most possible way of development of the destination in future. Analysis of the Incentive Tourism Industry in the Czech Republic

The main goal of this master's thesis is to analyze the market of incentive tourism industry in the Czech Republic from the point of view of both, tourists and tour operators. Further to distinguish the specifics of this form of tourism industry and to create a compact overview of incetive tourism in the Czech Republic and the rest of the world. The thesis is focused on describing the incentive tourism industry development and current trends. It is divided into several parts, some of them are focused on the Czech incentive tourism industry and the others on the situation in the world, including their final comparison. The main method used in the thesis is the method of questionaries among chosen respondents from both supply and demand part of the market. History, Present and Chances of Skiing Development in Šumava region

The thesis deals with skiing, one of the major winter sports activity. The disadvantage of down hill and cross country skiing is their demandingness of localization assumptions and sufficient infrastructure. The region of Šumava is one of the parts where skiing has been developed from its early beginning. This region is specific because of its location and sociopolitical development in 20 th century in comparison with other parts in the Czech Republic. The main objective of this thesis is to demonstrate the chronological summary of skiing in this region, to analyze present importance of winter recreation in Šumava by evaluating equipment of resorts and conditions for skiing, and to evaluate advantages and disadvantages of the region in comparison with other winter resorts in the Czech Republic. One part of the thesis is the survey that illustrates the perception of Šumava's attraction for university students. At the end the possibilities of skiing development in Šumava region are mentioned. Geographical aspects of recreational houses and apartments' issue in Czechia

Recreation has played, and will always play, an important role in people's lives. People have always longed for a familiar place to relax, however, the ways of relaxing and the types of recreational property have been evolving. New trends in second housing have emerged in developed states during second half of 20th century and lately in Czechia as well. The most expanded new trend in Czechia is a tendency to purchase own apartments in apartment houses built in attractive localities of mountains, lake sides, near golf courses and spa areas. Among other trends belong for example internationalization, commercionalization of second housing, and timesharing. This thesis aims to describe issue of recreational apartments in Czechia, discover its geographical aspects, patterns and characteristics of its developement. Also predicted future tendencies are discussed. The focus is given to the study of effects which might be caused by the construction and use of above mentioned recreational flats. Existence of these real estates might have negative impacts for the neigbouring nature, economic situation of municipalities and social atmosphere in destinations.
