The Use of Alternative Sources in the Building Industry

This bachelor thesis is focused on the use of waste as alternative raw materials in construction industry. The first part is dedicated to the historical development of waste management, to the valid legislation in the Czech Republic in 2017 and outlines the distribution of waste according to various criteria. The information about waste production and waste management is processed in the form of tables and graphs. The more extensive second part of the thesis uses theoretical knowledge in the field of waste management and on the base of the Waste Separation Catalog is composed a list of waste materials which can be used in construction industry. Further are described the possibilities of suitable waste utilization at production and also mentioned some particular construction products with their features.

Vítkovice in the Era of State-building. The Contribution to Social History

The aim of the diploma thesis called "Vítkovice in the Era of State-Building. The Contribution to Social History" is to describe and analyse social relations and social interactions in Vítkovice in the twenties of the 20th century. It is focused on two main topics which were really important for society in Vítkovice in that period. The thesis consists of two chapters, which are: relation between nations and housing strategy. The dynamics of the society in Vítkovice is determined by the Vítkovice Ironworks. That is reason why company is such important part of the research field. Position of Vítkovice Ironworks was very influential because of connection between the company and the city. Whereas relations between nations were strained because of policy of the company, despite of housing crisis Ironwork's housing strategy helped to unify the society.

The impact of quality of information on fulfilling the information needs of users of the "Aspekty náhradní výchovy (ANV.cz)" domain-specific portal"

The diploma thesis titled "The impact of quality of information on fulfilling the infor- mation needs of users of the "Aspekty náhradní výchovy (ANV.cz)" domain-specific portal" analyzes the information needs of web portal users and evaluates the quality of the in- formation contained therein using a variety of different methods. The thesis summarizes concepts of information of quality and information needs, describes the issues of measuring quality of information and elaborates on the motivation and possibilities of research on in- formation needs and increasing quality of information. The first part of the thesis defines the terms of information behavior, information need and quality of information. This chapter describes the aforementioned concepts, the possibilities of their research, measurement and evaluation and suggests the general relationship between quality of information and fulfil- ling information needs. This part also lists other possible methods of identifying information needs which were not used in the thesis. The second part describes the web portal ANV.cz, especially the circumstances of its creation and development, with an emphasis on its current state and the description of its technical solutions. Space heating of a mixed-use building

The subject of this diploma thesis is to design space heating system for building with five floors, where the first above ground floor is used as commercial space. Designed building have one underground floor and four above ground floors. Diploma thesis is designed as project of Building Service, specifically that of Heating. This diploma thesis contains calculations of the design heat load, design of radiators and others heating surfaces, hydraulic balancing, generation of domestic hot water, design of heat source, calculations of safety devices and pumps design. Part of this diploma thesis is also conceptual design of regulation.

Productive milling of aluminum alloys

This bachelor thesis is focused on milling of aluminum alloys, where the technology of milling is described in the first place, then the cutting materials and aluminum alloys. The main subject of the work was to carry out the experiment. The Experiment was focused on influence of cutting conditions on the final quality of the surface with regard to machine time. The aluminum workpiece was milled at different cutting speeds and various feed per tooth. At the same time the quality of the surface was examened and machine times were calculated. The Experiment showed us, whether it pays to use higher cutting speeds and feed per tooth, keeping the set of limited values of surface roughness with respect to the machine time. The result of the experiment is the following - the increasing feed per tooth deteriorates the quality of machined surface, but machine time is reduced.

Public activities of members of the Dominican monastery of St. Gilles in Prague illustrated through the examples of Angelus Lubojacký and Aleš Pařízek

The aim of the bachelor thesis called "Public activities of members of the Dominican convent of St. Giles illustrated through the examples of Angelus Lubojacký and Aleš Pařízek." is to outline and describe the life and work of two members of the Dominican convent of St.Giles using the historical progress of the Dominican order as a background. The thesis consists of two chapters. Each of them deals with the childhood, the studies, the circumstances of their joining the order, public work and activities of Angelus Lubojacký and Aleš Pařízek, either within or outside the monastery. Both personae are considered to be controversial figures regarding the Dominican order. The way the order approached both men was significantly different given the peculiarities of their times, which are also a theme of this thesis.

Evaluation of roe deer losses during meadow harvests in hunting area Medard

Evaluation of loss of young roe deer during haymaking in the Medard hunting district
This bachelor´s work is focused on the evaluation of loss of young roe deer during
spring haymaking. It is divided into two parts.
The first part covers general information on roe deer with main emphasize on life of
youngers during first weeks after their birth. This period is typical for spring
haymaking.
The second part describes specific results of field observations including size of
area, type of weather before and after haymaking, location of area with respect to
forest cover, suggested ways of protections and comparison of their advantages and
disadvantages.
Using several different ways of protections of young roe deer killings during
haymaking I realized that to find a right and the most efficient one is a long-term
task, however based on
the results of my observations I consider walking through meadows as very efficient
means of young roe deer protection.

Overwintering game preserves in area of National park Šumava

The aim of this work is to describe individual types of gamekeeper constructions and facilities built in overwintering game preserves in the area of National park Šumava. Another aim is to create a map with their position and to compare facilities of overwintering game preserves among themselves. In the résumé were described all types of hunting contructions and facilities that can be theoretically built in overwintering game preserves. Practical part describes the gamekeeper contructions and facilities that actually occur in overwintering game preserves. The result of a terrain research is a list of gamekeeper constructions and facilities, as well as a map containing locations of gamekeeper contructions and facilities. The results and recommendations presented in this bachelor thesis can be used in procedures for all overwintering game preserves, if keepers of these objects require high-quality gamekeeper constructions, which have a high technical level and which serve their particular purpose.

Evaulation of selected garlic assortment

Field experiment was established for this bachelor thesis, for which was choosed nine species of Czech garlic. Five of them is bolting species and three are not bolting. All species was grown in three systems of production, which were various of amout of fertilizers. In conventional system there were used full dose of fertilizers and cloves were macerated in sulphur and in Rovral Aquaflo. In second system of production which is called integrated system of vegetable production, there were used a half dose of fertilizers and cloves were not macerated. In the last one which is called organic, there were not use any fertilizer and cloves were not macerated. The dose of fertilizers were split to three parts which two of them were apply in autumn before planting and the last one were apply in the spring. When plants started bud, every week were young plants measured. After harvest, all bulbs were measure for weight and width and after that were analysed for oils in Departement of quality of agricultural products and used for experiment with storage. In this experiment, bulbs were in the room where is constant temeprature and humidity and every month were controled. For analysis of oils, cloves were mixed and distill. Distiled oils were analysed in gas chromatograph. Data from all experiments were processed in computer program Statistica 12. Results show that the non bolting species bud earlier than bolting species, the higest yield have species from in integrated system of vegetable production. The best health of bulbs during storage experiment have bulbs from conventional system of production except of species Matin which have the best storage quality in integrated system of vegetable production. The highest amount of oils have bulb from conventional system of production except of species Unikát and Benátčan which has highest amounts of oils in bulbs from organic production. Species Benátčan have the smallest amount of measured oils componets.
