Unconventional Methods for Interacting with a Robotics Workplace
Dvořák, Jakub ; Beran, Vítězslav (referee) ; Materna, Zdeněk (advisor)
The bachelor thesis focuses on non-traditional methods of interaction with a robotic workplace, with an emphasis on camera tracking of the user, control of the workplace using camera outputs and human-robot interaction. The main focus of the work is the integration of Azure Kinect, a human detection device, into the ARCOR2 robot programming system. This thesis presents an extension to ARCOR2 that uses Azure Kinect to obtain information about the users' location and motion, which is then used to control the workplace using gestures, and explores the possibilities of interacting with the robot workplace. This extension enables easier and more natural human-workplace interaction, contributing to more effective use of robots in industry and research. The result of this work is a functional system for tracking the user with a camera, including the possibility of using this information to program the robotic workstation. The result of the work further increases the efficiency of human-robot interactions and opens the door for further innovations in robot programming using the ARCOR2 system.

Mundanity at the End of the City
Dvořák, Jakub ; Nikitinová, Alice (referee) ; Artamonov, Vasil (advisor)
The bachelor's thesis is part of a long-term built and developed cycle of paintings, in which I deal with the environment of the small-town periphery, or the small-town landscape in general. In the paintings I try to create an atmosphere on the aspects of mundaneness, everyday life and civility. I do not avoid a certain descriptiveness to express my message to the audience. In painting, I looked mainly at composition and color. My main goal is show to the viewers the image of a contemporary Czech small town.

The aim of the diploma thesis called "Vítkovice in the Era of State-Building. The Contribution to Social History" is to describe and analyse social relations and social interactions in Vítkovice in the twenties of the 20th century. It is focused on two main topics which were really important for society in Vítkovice in that period. The thesis consists of two chapters, which are: relation between nations and housing strategy. The dynamics of the society in Vítkovice is determined by the Vítkovice Ironworks. That is reason why company is such important part of the research field. Position of Vítkovice Ironworks was very influential because of connection between the company and the city. Whereas relations between nations were strained because of policy of the company, despite of housing crisis Ironwork's housing strategy helped to unify the society.

Education and Training of Hoplites in the Ancient Sparta and Athens
Dvořák, Jakub ; Přívětivý, Lubomír (advisor) ; Fiala, Miloš (referee)
Title: Education and Training of Hoplites in the Ancient Sparta and Athens Objectives: The objective of the thesis is to create the comprehensive overview of the education and training of soldiers in the ancient Sparta and Athens with emphasis on the army physical training and special physical training and following comparison with approach to training of current soldiers. Methods: The thesis is a development study of armies of the ancient Sparta and Athens with focus on the education and physical training, utilizing the methods of historical research. For the scientific research I have chosen the methods: direct, indirect, perspective, retrospective, induction, comparative method and internal and external criticism of sources. Results: In the thesis I research the approach to education and training of soldiers in the ancient Sparta and Athens. The Spartan system of raising boys started in childhood and took almost their whole life. Compared to that, the Athenian training focused more on the education than on the military training which did not begin until the age of 18. Both the Athenian and Spartan society raised their citizens to strong patriotism so they would defend their homeland in case of need. In combat the soldiers mainly utilized their spear and shield, and their combat tactics was to...
Deep learning for tree line ecotone mapping from remote sensing data
Dvořák, Jakub ; Potůčková, Markéta (advisor) ; Lefèvre, Sébastien (referee)
Deep learning is growing in popularity in the remote sensing community, especially as a classification algorithm. First part of this thesis describes deep neural networks commonly used for remote sensing classification and their various applications. Capabilities of selected geospatial software suites in relation to deep models are also discussed in this part. Theoretical findings from the first part of the thesis are validated using two deep convolutional Encoder-Decoder networks - U-Net and its proposed adaptation called KrakonosNet. They are used to perform a sematic segmentation of spruce trees and dwarf pine shrubs in the tree line ecotone of the Krkonoše Mountains, Czechia. A normalised digital surface model is employed for creation of sufficiently large amount of training data, while the classification itself is performed using only optical imagery with very high spatial resolution. Resulting classification is compared to a set of traditional remote sensing classifiers, namely Maximum Likelihood, Random Forest, and a Support Vector Machine. Both U-Net and KrakonosNet significantly outperform the other classifiers on this dataset and will be consequently used in a related research project. Key words deep learning, U-Net, Krkonoše mountains, classification, vegetation mapping, picea abies,...
