Smartphone security
Rahm, Vladimír ; Luc, Ladislav (advisor) ; Doucek, Petr (referee)
This bachelor's thesis is focused on smartphone security risks and their solutions. The work is divided into three parts. The first part deals with the theoretical background in the form of a summary version of the most popular mobile operating systems. The second part focuses on three aspects, which are linked to the security of smartphones. In this section you can find an analysis of security risks for smartphones followed by the selection of most widely used mobile operating system in which it is exploring its security against malicious applications. In conclusion to this part a security analysis of a specific smartphone application is formed. The third part of this thesis is devoted to preventing security risks in the form of antivirus applications for smartphones. Within this section is created an overview of security products and analysis of whether these products can deal with security risks. The third part also analyzes user awareness of smartphone security risks and that is obtained by evaluation of survey among users.
Gramotnost IS/IT v České republice
Orlová, Lenka ; Doucek, Petr (advisor)
Práce se zaměřuje na zkoumání možností zvyšování počítačové gramotnosti v České republice. Zpočátku definuje pojem počítačové gramotnosti, nastiňuje její vývoj v čase a zkoumá její úroveň v ČR.

Registr IT rizik
Kohout, Karel ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Luc, Ladislav (referee)
The theoretical part of the thesis analyzes several selected methodologies and best-practices related to information technology risks management, with focus on documents and guidance developed by ISACA. It builds a set of ideas and basic requirements for effective model of an IT risk register. Strong emphasis is placed on mapping CobiT 4.1 based Risk IT to COBIT 5. The practical part describes implementation of an exploratory web-based IT risk register in Python programming language utilizing the Django framework and employs concepts from the analysis.
Methodics of creating risk register IT
Svěcený, Jan ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Luc, Ladislav (referee)
Nowadays risk management is an essential part of project management. It is necessary to identify, analyze, registr and respond to risks. They have to be assesed by means of the probability of their occurence and their final impacts. One of the tools for risk and response management and for keeping the evidence is risk register. This study will compare different theoretical approaches to risk management (e.g. based on PRINCE2) and based on the comparison a template for risk register and related user guide for different IT project environments will be derived. The study will have two parts: the theoretical part will introduce the issue and analyze different methods; in the practical part will be compared these methods and the template for risk register will be derived together with the user guide.
Process management principles, procedures and tools application in software development project management
Oškrdal, Václav ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Pour, Jan (referee) ; Hřebíček, Jiří (referee) ; Závodný, Peter (referee)
The main goal of this dissertation thesis is to design and verify a new concept of process management principles, procedures and tools application, utilizable in the software development project management field. Emphasis is placed on creating a general (i.e. generally usable) concept, derived from solid theoretical background and suitable for further expansion and modifications. The theoretical part of the thesis has two main chapters. In the "Process management" chapter, the individual derived principles (Effectiveness, Added value, Coherence, Portability, Adequate standardization, Measurability, Clarity, Integration, Accountability, Continuous improvement) and procedures (Initiation, Identification, Definition, Validation, Implementation, Revision) are described and interconnected into an integrated concept, usable for the introduction and development of process management in the organization, supported by appropriate ICT tools (mainly from four selected areas -- Modeling and Simulation, Performance measurement, Change management, Administration). In the "Project Management" chapter, the project management area is embedded in the broader context of a process-driven organization in line with modern models of strategic ICT governance and ICT services management. The main dimensions of project management as well as the process approach to project management, which helps to bridge the gap between unique/temporary projects and repeatable/stable processes, are described. Basis for the normative project processes design in the following part of the thesis is set by the evaluation of selected models of the project life cycle and project management methodologies. The practical part of this thesis is basically a verification of the concept, described in the theoretical chapters. Firstly, an original project management methodology, suitable for deriving process model of the subject area, is presented. On this basis -- and by using the previously described principles, procedures and process management tools -- the major artifacts of a reference project processes model are elaborated (such as Conceptual model of the subject area, List of events and natural processes, Process pyramid, Process model, Organization model, Indicators pyramid or RACI matrix of roles and processes/indicators /SLAs; setup of selected process model is also verified experimentally by simulations). Critical evaluation of the presented model is an important input for the final assessment of the thesis goals' achievement and proposal of further research fields.
Information security management system in small business
Kraus, Vojtěch ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This thesis discusses information security management and information security management systems in small businesses. The goal and prospective added value of this thesis is to provide with a set of practical comments and recommendations for those who implement and/or administer an information security management system in the delicate environment of a small enterprise. First part of the thesis contains theoretical definition of information security and information security management systems. Also, this part describes standards relevant to this thesis. Second part defines the concept of "small business" and discusses possible options of designing ISMS in such business so that it complies with standards mentioned above and is an effective as well as affordable solution which does not demand excessive amount of company's resources. Third and final part of this thesis is analysis of ISMS of a specific company that fits the definition of small business -- BDO IT a.s.
Human factor in IS/ICT security
Reich, Jan ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
As the sheer volume of data stored in various information systems grows, importance of its security becomes a key concern. Great resources are being spent on security technologies protecting from external attacks, while the threat posed by people within the organization remains largely unadressed. The aim of the author of this thesis is to raise awareness of this internal threat and to provide recommendations whose implementation could help mitigate the problem.
Copyright Act - Analysing and solving selected problematic situations
Pořádek, Jiří ; Doucek, Petr (advisor) ; Veber, Jaromír (referee)
This thesis dealing with copyright law of the Czech Republic and its reflection in practice is divided into two imaginary parts. The first part introduces the copyright as a part of the intellectual property rights in general, puts Czech copyright law - Act No. 121/2000 on Copyright and Rights Related to Copyright and an Amendment to Certain Acts (the Copyright Act) as amended by latest acts - into the context of history and international law and then describes copyright law relation to business informatics.
