The Transition from the Working Process to the Retirement

This work deals with the changes that take place in people already have retired. It addresses in particular the impact on their life in the last stage of life. Subsequently, a managing retirement as it is when people feel, describes the changes that take place in humans. Then mentions about retirement, pension types. Describes how it can be prepaired, adaptation. It talks about the roles that one has prior to retirement and beyond. Describes the reaction of older people themselves, their perception of this stage and at the same time, how they react to their surroundings. All information has been collected from respondents who have passed retirement. The structured interview was made with them and the obtained informations were subsequently processed.

Positive Sides of Squatting

Dissertation "Positive Sides of Squatting" reveals ideology of squatters and what they pursue. Main objective of this dissertation is to demonstrate positive sides of squatting. Theoretical definition of the term "squatting" is analyzed in the first part of the study using different social sciencies. Furthemore, the study considers one's motivation and thoughts, which lead to squatting. Also, history of squatting along with the main events that have influenced squatting are discussed. The Transmission of Romanian Traditional Values of Mixed Romany-Czech Marriages

The goal of my graduation treatise is research of three generations of mixed Romany-Czech marriages in the aspects of upbringing, education and traditions and how and how many of these aspects were transmitted in a progress of time. Which Romanian traditional values have kept during the theree genarations of the inter marriages. In the theoretical part of my treatise I tried to describe all topics which I then researched in the practical part with individual couples which were namely the fellowship in the family, individual roles among the members of the family, upbringing, relationship to education, traditions and rituals in a traditionnal Romany family. The purpose of this research is to find out if and how Romany partners are assimilated into the major society. My methods were: the qualitative method, participatory observation and dialogs with individual respondents. The results clearly indicate that assimilation into the major society is very succesful as well as a higher level of education, older age of partners when they get married and have their firt child. Their birth rate is lower as the generations pass. Some further interesting facts are that the second generation of mixed marriages doesn't keep a lot from Romany culture, language, history and traditions and that which has been kept is practised...

The Role of Social Workers in Dealing with Domestic Violence against Seniors

In this bachelor thesis I was concerned with topic of mentally ill and mistreated seniors, who were placed in a psychiatric hospital. In the theoretical part I tried to describe the concept of domestic violence, after that domestic violence in the family and also domestic violence committed against seniors. I elaborated on kinds of domestic abuse and maltreatment, and I mentioned several forms of domestic violence and abuse, which in these cases were committed against mentally ill seniors. I explained concepts such as ageing, senior and his family. I described the various forms and phases of the mental illness and behaviour of patients, who suffer from these diseases. I explained concepts such as dementia and her forms and classifications. The next section is devoted to the possibilities to help these seniors and I also introduce the services for victims of domestic violence. I mentioned dealing with these crisis situations such as deprivation of legal capacity and the institute of expulsion, with regard to the Civil law. Next part is devoted to the role of the social worker and his education with family. The assistance of a social worker to a patient lies in revelation, moderation or elimination of the negative consequence of the disease by the senior. Pedagogic Model of Teen Challenge

This work is trying to describe a pedagogic model of Teen Challenge organization. The program is focused on helping drug addicted people. In the process after a man becomes addicted his personality could become completely disintegrated. A journey back from this condition of bond is really difficult but not impossible. Teen Challenge declares the necessity of renewing a spiritual aspect of personality and furthermore to keep focused on personal relationship with Jesus Christ. That is a way how to bring change which should be visible in other aspects of life as well. Further more education and pedagogic help is needed, too. Education and pedagogy should form the individual to reach positive results. The target of this work is to find our to what extend Teen Challenge pedagogic model influences an individual in the process of learning skills necessary to be able to live new lifestyle without drugs, alcohol and destruction and other unwanted elements. Since I consider "living the good values" a key factor in the therapy of the drug addicted, the work is focused on estimating a list of values necessary after finishing the program, its manifestations and ways the program contributed to it.
