Hearing loss during adolescence

The bachelor thesis deals with the impact of hearing loss on the lives of individuals with hearing disabilities during adolescence. The theoretical part of the text defines the concept of adolescence, the influence of hearing impairment on personality development, as well as information about the auditory systém and compensatory aids. The thesis the focuses on issues related to areas that are crucial during adolescence, namely education and preparation for future careers. The chapter on education for individuals with hearing impairments focuses on communication approaches and the inclusion process in schools in the Czech Republic. This chapter is followed by a section on tertiary education, which is part of the chapter about preparing for future careers. The aim of the thesis is to provide insight into life of individuals with hearing impairments, with an emphasis on the aforementioned problematic areas that need improvement. The practical part of the thesis includes an analysis of four interviews with three girls and one boy diagnosed with hearing loss. The research primarily focuses on the aforementioned areas (education and career selection) and the subjective effectiveness of compensatory aids. Project Education of Pre-medical First Aid

Title: Project method of teaching pre-medical first aid Abstract: This thesis addresses the teaching of first aid at the second level of secondary schools with focus on the project method of teaching. In the introduction the reasons leading to selection of topic are mentioned. This is followed by the objectives set for this thesis. The theoretical part is devoted to school documents and the theoretical basis for teaching first aid, which includes the definition of first aid, emergency calls, guidelines for providing first aid at selected life- threatening conditions. Among the very important chapters of the theoretical part is the didactics of first aid, which aims to provide useful advice for creating the most effective first aid teaching in terms of organization and methodology. The chapter also briefly discusses topics such as teaching objectives, motivation, didactic principles of teaching, methods and organisational forms of teaching. In the research part of my thesis, I aim to compare whether project-based or frontal teaching organisational form of teaching is more effective for first aid teaching. Nursing care of patients after a surgical procedure for a narrowed carotid artery

Abstract Surgeries of narrowed carotid arteries rank among the most common vascular medical procedures. Narrowing the carotid artery on the basis of creation of an atherosclerotic plaque is also the most common cause of stroke. It causes an insufficient blood flow to certain parts of the brain and can cause damage and lead to irreversible changes. This disease belongs among the lifestyle ones, involving a number of both controllable and uncontrollable risk factors. Prevention and timely operational and quality postoperative care are very important; the latter helps prevent fatal consequences leading to permanent disability. The aim of my thesis is to demonstrate nursing care for patients after the surgery of a narrowed carotid artery. The empirical section is based on qualitative research in the form of two case studies which describe the postoperative state of health and its progress. I point out the specifics of the nursing care for patients after the surgery of narrowed carotid artery in detail. The result of the bachelor's thesis is an overview of postoperative care which is beneficial for both general nurses and patients themselves. Jesuit-Order in Uherské Hradišti

This thesis focuses on activity of the Society of Jesus in the town of Uherské Hradiště. It describes their missionary and pastoral work, construction of Jesuit buildings and homestead. The thesis also provides principles of the Jesuit educational system. The last chapter focuses on dissolution of the Order, resulting in new employment of the former Jesuits, types of which are also described in the last chapter. Sponsorship of Czech Private and Public Universities

The purpose of the diploma thesis was to provide the reader with the insight into sponsorship of Czech universities, explain the definition of sponsorship from different point of views and make a suggestion for improvement in the area of the academic sponsorship. I described sponsorship as a part of marketing communication and on showed its utilization on the specific example of the University of Economics and Ceska Sporitelna.

Analýza maloobchodní sítě v Ostravě

Tato práce má za cíl zmapovat maloobchodní síť v Ostravě se zaměřením na centrum města. Bylo nutné analyzovat problémy opuštěnosti centra města. Snažila jsem se navrhnout možná řešení a zhodnotit jejich dopady. Práce je rozdělena do dvou částí, první vysvětluje teoretická východiska a druhá, praktická část, se zaměřuje na provedenou analýzu.
