Injuries In Basketball And Their Potential Prevention

Title: Injuries In Basketball And Their Potential Prevention Objectives: The objective of my work was to define injuries which occur in basketball and to suggest prevention that can eliminate the birth of injury or speed up the convalescence. Methods: Research and comparison from foreign and Czech literature. I excerpted from literature and suggested potential prevention. Results: I ascertained that the most common injury is injury of lower limb, especially the injury of hock joint. The second mostly affected areas are knee ligaments. Most usual kind of injury is distortions (sprain) which is caused by direct contact with other player during the match. Basketball conditioning training workout

Title: Basketball conditioning training workout Objectives: The aim of this thesis is based on a survey to determine importance of fitness training in basketball, whether basketball players are using service of a conditioning coach or not, frequency, focus on fitness, equipment, additional sports etc. Methods: Data needed to process this thesis came out of a non-standardized anonymous questionnaire, which was created for professional basketball players and players of different performance levels. The reason is a opinion comparison of players of different skill levels. After obtaining the necessary data I evaluate the general characteristics and selected indicators. Results: The results of the thesis is confirmed by the survey (n = 55 male respondents). Fitness trainer representation is at more than 80% responces. Almost all respondents follow some kind of a fitness training plan, either directly led by a fitness trainer or a basketball coach. Fitness Programs for Seniors

Title: Fitness programs for seniors. Objectives: The purpose of the following thesis is to test three seniors and to determine, if an offered intervention program influenced and improved their condition. Methods: Three seniors 71 - 80 years old took part in the program. Two men at the age of 74 and 80 and a woman at the age of 71. The level of a functional body fitness was measured with the help of a modified test battery Senior Fitness Test (Rikli, Jones, 2013), the strength of hand pressure with Hang Grip dynamometer and the body composition with a bioelectrical impedance (BIA), which is used for body fat and fat free mass measurements. The seniors were tested at the beginning and at the end of the program. The intervention program was carried out in the course of 8 weeks, performed 2x a week for 40 minutes at an average intensity. The performance changes were recorded and differences calculated. Final results were compared to test SFT values. Results: Test results proved that a chosen intervention program led to changes. The Preparation of an Athlete for Bodybuilding Competition

Title: The Preparation of an Athlete for Bodybuilding Competition Goal: This Thesis aims to describe in detail how to prepare an athlete for a competition in bodybuilding in bikini fitness category. The effect of a training was assessed on the basis of body composition, performance and placing in national competitions. The emphasis was placed on the reduction of body fat while maintaining muscle mass. A partial goal was a participation of a competitor in body building competition in bikini fitness category and achieving the best possible position. Methods: In thesis, there were used anthropometric methods, i.e. body measurements of chest, waist, stomach, hips, thighs, calves and arms. With help of InBody device, changes of body composition were evaluated. There were not used any invasive methods during the research. Strength training lasted 60-70 minutes 6 times a week for 16 weeks. Aerobic activity was included from the 7th week of preparation and lasted 45 - 60 minutes. Results: The result of thesis in meaning of reducing fat while maintaining muscle mass was positive. There was a weight reduction from 62.8 kg to 56.4 kg, i.e. a reduction of 6.4 kg. Title: Changes in body composition in the development of maximum force Objectives: The aim of this work was to create functional strength streningupre development of maximum strength of his subsequent application. During interventions were performed measurements of body composition, where we observed change of each selected component due to the application of physical intervention and then evaluated their significance with respect to the target. Furthermore, we monitor changes in maximal strength by setting the repetition maximum in selected exercises. Methods: We used the work of the body composition measuring apparatus using the BIA 2000 (data input, Darmstadt, Germany) and used by the software measurement somatotype Antropo 2000.2 Results: The work confirmed the hypothesis about a significant change in the values of total body water, body fat percentage and values of ECM / BCM due adapted physical intervention with the primary objective of developing maximal strength.

Tittle: Muscle imbalances and corrective exercises among adult male football players Objectives: 1) Conduct a literature review to clarify the issue of muscle imbalances and to research muscle tests and corrective exercises. 2) On the basis of theoretical findings, observation and testing, design a set of corrective exercises. These were developed under the supervision of Ivana Cermakova, the head physiotherapist of the Rudolf and Stefanie's hospital in Benesov. Method: The main research method used is a review of related literature; other methods applied include observation and testing. Outcomes: The outcome of the thesis is a set of corrective exercises designed to eliminate muscle imbalances in adult male football players of FK Kavalier Sazava, representing class l.A of the Benesov town district. Title: Ways and means to reduce weight and increase physical fitness. Goals: To create an exercise program and a dietary plan for men at the age from 30 to 45. Methods: Analyzing the expert literature searched mostly in printed form or online. Results: Very important is a ratio between energy intake and expenditure. If you want to reduce weight, the energy expenditure must be bigger than the energy intake, it is called negative energy balance. The most important factors are physical activity and diet. Title: Analyzing the effectiveness of Dukan's reducing diet of selected overweigted women on the basic of case studies. Objectives: The aim of this study was to assess whether the Dukan Diet works. Based on the scientific literature and through informants evaluate the attitude towards this diet. Methods: The research involved 5 women. Age of tested women was (mean ± SD) 55,2 ± 1,7 and BMI 28,1kg/m2 ± 2,5kg/m2 . I used a qualitative research method for collecting data. Everything I have subsequently analyzed in detail in the case reports. The tested women were familiar with the observance of the same diet and exercise regimen, which was necessary to follow throughout the experiment. Everything was based on autocoaching and based exercise schedule which received from me. Results: After eight weeks keeping the Dukan diet to lose weight respondents number 1, number 2 and number 4 required 5 kg. The respondent number 5 also managed to reduce their weight by 5 kg, but after the 9th week dietary compliance. Only the respondent number 3 failed to lose weight 5 kg for the entire period of research. Yo-yo effect is manifested after half a year by the respondents number 3 and number 5. Title: Active lifestyle of seniors Objectives: The aim of this work is based on the literary analysis determining the design guidelines exercise program for seniors and the establishment of a unit that will include a set of exercises in a selected fit parks and can serve as a tool for instructors or seniors Method: Work will be theoretical, the primary method of data collection will be a literature research. Data collection will be available from the Czech and foreign literature and internet sources Results: Ideal activities appears to be activity of aerobic character on which seniors are adapted to them. Among the most widespread belong walking, now also extended Nordic Walking. Furthe there are outdoor exercises in the nature and on special courses - the fit parks, which are ideal places for outdoor recreation.
