Use of the BIM Method for a LCA Studies and Digitalization of Construction Industry - a Review

The construction industry is a strategically important sector for the Czech economy in terms of production or job creation. However, it is one of the least digital industries. One of the means of digitizing the construction industry is the introduction of the BIM method. Impacts on the environment of buildings and the use of human resources are a topic that has recently increased in interest in professional and lay society. There is a clear social need for a connection between the LCA and BIM methods. Life Cycle Assessment is a method of assessing the life cycle of a product or service in terms of its environmental impact. The article contributes to the body of the theoretical knowledge and assumptions with a new summary of findings and conclusions about the LCA and BIM connections.

Tensional Properties of Sealants in Cement-Based Material Sealing

The article deals with sealing of cement-based materials and tensile properties of the sealed joint. Aquapanel cement board was chosen as the base material, which was treated with a primer. Then two sealants were applied, one representative of acrylic and one of polyurethane sealants. After curing, the resulting test specimens were tested according to the valid European standard ČSN EN ISO 8340, which defines the parameters of the test specimen and subsequent test procedures. The evaluation of the test, which took place visually and with a caliper measurement, showed that only polyurethane sealant could be recommended for sealing Aquapanel. This putty, unlike acrylic putty, did not show any defects after the test, so it can be stated as suitable for sealing Aquapanel cement board.

The diploma thesis deals with the complex construction of the Vartovna lookout tower near the village of Seninka. Within this work was prepared item budget, drawings of construction site equipment for the main construction stages, concreting scheme and landfill supply, time schedule of the whole construction, construction financing plan, number of workers, necessary machines and mechanisms with their deployment over time, technological regulation for monolithic foundations. hydraulic concrete structures, technological regulation for the assembly of the steel structure of the lookout tower, control and test plans for monolithic and prefabricated structures, the formwork scheme of all foundation structures, and safety and health protection at work.

Construction technology project of the apartment building in Velká Bíteš

The subject of this final thesis is the construction technology project of an apartment building in Velká Bíteš. The thesis contains a technical reports, construction technology study, coordination situation, time schedule and financial plan of the building in the structure of individual construction object, time schedule of the main building, solution of transport routes, technological regulation for the ventilated facade, control and test plan of the ventilated facade. Furthermore, a design of the construction site equipment is prepared, including a technical report, Occupational Health and Safety on the construction site for the superstructure construction phase, budget for the superstructure construction phase and a comparison of variants of the ceiling structure. Finally, a comparison of lifting mechanisms, LEED certification and assessment of photovoltaic facades is processed.

Construction technology project of the International Clinical Research Center of St. Anne's University Hospital Brno

This diploma thesis solves the construction technology project of the International Clinical Research Center of the St. Anne’s University Hospital, Brno (ICRC), namely the first stage of the construction of the buildings "B1" and "C1". It tries to design an ideal technological process of construction with respect of local conditions. Technologically it focuses mainly on the issue of special foundation, namely protection of excavation pit with secant pile wall and pile foundation. There are processed technological regulations, time and financial plans, construction budget, control and test plan, plan of heavy equipment and safety or environmental requirements. Everything is supplemented by attachments and drawing documentation.

The aim of the diploma thesis is to process a construction-technological project of the building in the area Rotana. The aim of the thesis is to propose a suitable implementation procedure of the building. The thesis deals with the time schedule of the main object, itemized budget, major building machines and mechanisms, project of site equipment, study of the main construction phase realization, plan for securing material resources, technical report, time and financial object plan. The thesis also focused on the comparison bracing of foundation with the slopes.

The content of this Bachelor thesis is preparation of realization of gross substructure of apartment house and row garages project in Havlíčkův Brod. The thesis includes a technical report focused on the given technological stage, construction situation with wider relations of the transport routes, technical drawing of the construction site equipment, scheme of earthworks and concreting, and technological regulations for earthworks and monolithic foundation structures. For these regulations, the control and test plans, machine set proposal, schedule, itemized budget with a bill of quantities, and safety and health protection at work are prepared.

The technological stage of the underground construction of the New Mill - Fatra

The content of this bachelor thesis is the technological stage of the rough substructure of the industrial building Nová Válcovna - Fatra. The work deals with the technological regulation for foundation structures, which will be drawn up control and test plan, time schedule, itemized budget. It also includes a coordination situation, a drawing of the construction site equipment, a design of the machine assembly, a drawing of the construction site equipment, and the safety of the technological stage. In addition, several schemes for the execution of individual structures and an energy performance certificate have been developed for this technological stage.

The final thesis includes a technical report, a coordination situation, a situation of the construction with wider relations with transport route links, a time schedule and financial plan of the construction, a site equipment project, a design of the main machines and mechanisms, a time schedule of the main building object, a supply plan and a plan for transport routes, a technological regulation for cast-in-place floor structure, a control and test plan, a health and safety plan at work on a construction site binding for a carcass, an itemized budget for carcass, a comparison of the solutions for realization of the cast-in-place floor structure and the technological regulation for technology of capture of rainwater for further use.
