Selected issue of electric personal means of transport movement
Svoboda, Daniel ; Stáňa, Ivo (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
This thesis deals with the analysis of current electric conveyors, especially those with automatic levelling, their construction, and their differences from other electric conveyors. The thesis also includes the legal regulations for this issue in different countries. The measurements made consist of a comparison of different passenger carriers in various practical tests, which tell about the real use of these vehicles in real traffic.
Analysis of methods for vehicle speed estimation from video recordings
Woletz, Jakub ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Křižák, Michal (advisor)
The thesis deals with methods that deal with the evaluation of speed from CCTV footage, either from a static camera (e.g. security cameras) or from a dynamic camera (e.g. dashboard cameras). The entire thesis first discusses the various methods available, then shows their application to specific camera footage and evaluates their accuracy. The result of the work is an analysis of the applicability and accuracy of these methods for specific types of video footage.
Selected Driving Manoeuvres of Motorcyclists
Kriegsmann, Luděk ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Semela, Marek (advisor)
The entire diploma thesis is designed into two parts. The first part is focused on the theoretical description of the construction of motorcycles. In particular, the theoretical part deals with the description of the types of motorcycles, types of frames, types of suspension and the description of braking systems used on motorcycles. In the theoretical part, the main parameters of the motorcycle are also addressed, which affect the handling and stability of the motorcycle while riding. The last theoretical part deals with the technique of riding a motorcycle. The second part is focused directly on the execution of the experiment. The experiment consists of measuring five disciplines, namely measuring acceleration, measuring braking deceleration using brakes, measuring deceleration by the engine, measuring exit from an intersection and measuring lateral displacement. Eight motorcycles took part in the measurement. The main outputs from the measurements are time data, deceleration and lateral acceleration values.
Influence of the different light sources of the vehicle headlights on the perception of an obstacle by the driver of the vehicle
Sklenář, Michal ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Motl, Jakub (advisor)
This thesis focuses on examining the influence of various light sources (halogen, xenon, LED) of vehicle headlights (Škoda Octavia III. generation) on the perception of pedestrians by the driver of the vehicle. The theoretical part contains the concepts essential for a general understanding of the main topic of this thesis. The aim of the thesis is to present how the brightness and contrast between the pedestrian and his surroundings changes when illuminated by one of these light sources due to the increasing distance between the pedestrian and the vehicle and the different type of pedestrian clothing. The results of the measured experiment are presented using charts, photo documentation and brightness maps. These are then compared with the results obtained by measuring the distance of pedestrian perception by individual probands. The conclusions applicable to forensic engineering practice are drawn from the compared values.
Possibilities of simulation modeling of traffic accidents with reduced visibility
Rozsíval, Jan ; Motl, Jakub (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of simulation modeling with reduced visibility in the Virtual CRASH program, which as the only available programs allows work both with the help of mathematical models to simulate vehicle movement and change parameters to simulate reduced visibility, lighting, etc. The theoretical part contains a description of photometric quantities, deals with the human eye and its ability to see under reduced visibility, a description of the luxmeter meter and luminance analyzers. Here are four main reasons for reduced visibility and their description. It contains a sample of the most used programs used to deal with traffic accidents. The four types of headlights most commonly used in today's vehicles are listed and described. In the experimental part, two measurements were performed. The first measurement to obtain input values to obtain a black and white texture determining the shape of the light rays emanating from the vehicle headlights. The second experiment to obtain the contrasts of the white box, black box and pedestrian for subsequent comparison with the output of the Virtual CRASH program.
Influence of trailers load on driving properties of train
Pečová, Monika ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Belák, Michal (advisor)
This diploma thesis describes the behavior combination of vehicles, especially the semitrailer type when empty and loaded. In addition to the basic design differences of vehicle combinations this work presents the effects of crosswinds, tire properties and the importance of the center of gravity of the system and choice of axle type for directional dynamics.
Perception of vehicle speed by driver
Formanová, Barbora ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Bilík, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of perception of vehicle speed by the driver, without the possibility of checking the vehicle's tachometer. The theoretical part defines the basic concepts of vehicles, including the design of passenger cars. Furthermore, the work is devoted to the field of human perception, which is also focused on perception from the perspective of the driver, gender, and driving experience. The practical part deals with the design, preparation and implementation of experimental measurements. Subsequently, the evaluation of the measured data is performed in terms of selected factors that could affect the subjective estimate of the driver's speed. The conclusion of this work is also devoted to proposals for possible modifications of the measurement methodology for further use.
Influence of fuel additives for passenger cars
Obytová, Eliška ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Bilík, Martin (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the addition of automotive fuels and their effects. The aim was to evaluate the function and efficiency of fuel additives present in the fuel at gas stations, and subsequently to improve the fuels accordingly by adding additional individual chemical compounds. The theoretical part explains the concepts, functions and processes related to fuel additives and the basics of tribotechnology. The practical part deals with the process of testing the properties of fuels, their functions, additional additives and its impact for practical use.
Evaluation of the Causes of Traffic Accidents involving Police Vehicles in the South Moravia Region in 2011-2020
Sobotka, Igor ; Stáňa, Ivo (referee) ; Bradáč, Albert (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the issue of traffic accidents of company cars of the Police of the Czech Republic in the South Moravian Region, in the period 2011 - 2020. The theoretical part is focused to a general acquaintance with police issues and other aspects related to the use of company means of transport and the performance of service at the Police. In the practical part, traffic accidents in the territory are evaluated in the given period in terms of their numbers, technical causes, consequences and other aspects. In conclusion, there are suggested measures which should lead to a reduction in accidents of police vehicles.
Perception of vehicle speed from the perspective of different driving experience
Budinová, Nela ; Bradáč, Albert (referee) ; Bilík, Martin (advisor)
Presented diploma thesis deals with the perception of vehicle speed from the different driving experiences point of view. The thesis is divided into two parts. First, the theoretical part is about motor vehicle construction, driving experiences, and further about the influence of gender on driving and sensory and emotional perception of humans. The second part is dedicated to practical measurement, where vehicle speeds were estimated during driving tests. During this measurement, the test circuit was passed two times in each vehicle. First run was dedicated to full concentration on a drive. In the second run, the respondents were distracted by sudoku solving. Subsequent evaluation of the obtained data is being executed from different points of view – speed category, men vs women, and roads category.
