On the optimization of machining process of the rotary part
Benda, Martin ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
This thesis deals with analysing component manufacture of valve lines. Firstly evaluating current condition of production including determinated manufacture times and costs. Secondly carrying out inmprovement proposals for manufacture and optimalisation of cutting conditions while considering the minimal costs given for operation sections. The final provision summarizes results which were achieved and overall benefits of the thesis.
Technological process of the end flow part
Benda, Martin ; Sedlák, Josef (referee) ; Píška, Miroslav (advisor)
The aim of this work is to create the technological process for the manufacturing the end flow part in EXCALIBUR ARMY spol. s r.o. The first part of the thesis focuses on structural and technological analysis of the component part. In the second part, two different production technologies are proposed. One on conventional machines and the another on the CNC turning center. At the end of work. The production times for these procedures are calculated, followed by a technical-economical evaluation in which the two proposed processes are compared.
Biogenesis and function of nuclear iron-sulfur proteins
Panova, Ekaterina ; Benda, Martin (advisor) ; Smutná, Tamara (referee)
Iron-sulfur clusters are important inorganic cofactors of many cellular reactions, including those that occur in the nucleus. Nuclear iron-sulfur proteins play an important role in DNA replication, genome repair, and maintenance of genome stability. The biosynthesis of these iron-sulfur clusters is initiated in the mitochondria by the iron-sulfur cluster assembly pathway (ISC), continues in the cytosol by the cytosolic iron-sulfur cluster assembly pathway (CIA), and ends with the incorporation of the clusters into target apoproteins such as polymerases, primases, helicases, endonucleases, or glycosylases. This bachelor thesis summarizes current knowledge about the pathways of iron-sulfur cluster biosynthesis, the functions of nuclear iron-sulfur proteins, and the role of the clusters in these proteins, including the phenotypes and clinical manifestations caused by the absence of iron-sulfur clusters. Keywords: iron-sulfur clusters, metalloproteins, nucleus, DNA replication, DNA repair
Investment company in managing funds of the qualified investors
Benda, Martin ; Kohajda, Michael (advisor) ; Kotáb, Petr (referee)
Investment company in managing funds of the qualified investors The aim of this proposed thesis is a qualitative analysis of the internal mechanisms of operations of an investment company in managing a fund of qualified investors. The stated goal is to relatively analyse the organism, which is providing the managing portfolio in the ownership of the fund by abstracting the most important processes that are taking place in such matter. The thesis is divided in a logical order from the historical genesis of collective investment through a brief analysis of the basic subjects of collective investment up to a qualitative analysis of the issues relating to the management of the assets of an externally managed fund with regard to the division of functions of individual bodies inside the investment structure. In conclusion, following the qualitative analysis of the activities of the individual bodies of the investment company - I then, on an example of the acquisition process, attempt to analyse and break down the roles of the individual bodies performing as a part of the acquisition of an asset to the portfolio of an externally managed investment fund.
Potential and Limits of Nordic Cooperation
Benda, Martin ; Jireš, Jan (advisor) ; Slačálek, Ondřej (referee)
The master thesis searches for the core and character of the Nordic cooperation, especially in the perspective of actorness in international relations. It analyses the geopolitics of Norden and tries to project future development. Constructivist concepts of regional security complexes and brands in international relations is being used in the paper. It concludes that European integration is both the limit and potential of Norden. Nordic model looses its former exclusivity but at the same time it nordicizes a wider region.

Transcription regulation by sigma factors in Bacillus subtils
Benda, Martin ; Krásný, Libor (advisor) ; Seydlová, Gabriela (referee)
RNA polymerase (RNAP) is a key enzyme in regulation of bacterial gene expression. RNAP is multi-subunit enzyme and its σ subunits (factors) are used for DNA recognition. Regulation of RNAP complexed with the major σ factor has been thoroughly studied; in contrast, mechanisms of regulation of RNAP containing alternative σ factors are much less understood. This thesis is focused mainly on the model organism Bacillus subtilis and its alternative σ factors σF , σG , σI a σK . We studied the ability of RNAP in complex with these factors to recognize promoter sequences, to initiate transcription in dependence on the concentration of the initiating nucleoside triphosphate (iNTP), and to interact with selected proteins. For σF , a promoter regulated by the concentration of iNTP was discovered; for σI , to the contrary, this mechanism was not observed. In the case of σG -dependent transcription we were not able to examine regulation by the concentration of iNTP. Nevertheless, stimulation of σG -dependent transcription by a protein called YlyA, previously described in the literature, was confirmed. This stimulation was newly identified also for σF -dependent transcription. Further, we examined possible functional interaction between HelD and σK , but this link was not confirmed. Finally, this thesis...
