Effectiveness of DOE

Then I was introduced Barum Continental spol. s.r.o. concern, which data extended. Up to data processing I was used tools of Six Sigma method and also histogram.
Time Series Analysis and Predictionby Means of Statistical Methods – Box-Jenkins
Zatloukal, Radomír ; Bednář, Josef (referee) ; Žák, Libor (advisor)
Two real time series, one discussing the area of energy, other discussing the area of economy. By the energetic area we will be dealing with the electric power consumption in the USA, by the economic area we will be dealing with the progress of index PX50. We will try to approve the validity of hypothesis that with some test functions we will be able to set down the accidental unit distribution in these two time series.
Statistical Models of Success of Various Techniques of Rugby Kicking
Vrbacká, Kateřina ; Votavová, Helena (referee) ; Bednář, Josef (advisor)
This bachelor thesis is dealing with the testing of statistical hypothesis and their practical use. We model the success of rugby kicking and analyze the dominant factors (ball position, kicking technique, player) and their interactions. We will use some mathematical terms such as chi-square test of independence and logistic regression. The final model will be processed by software MINITAB. The outcome from this thesis will be the exact description of this situation.
Optimization for the design of subsystems of energy-producing processes
Janošťák, František ; Bednář, Josef (referee) ; Pavlas, Martin (advisor)
This bachelor thesis focuses on the design of a combustion grate. The key factor is the lower heating value of waste, which has been modelled based on the data obtained from a real combustion grate. The goal is to develop a combustion grate, which will function effectively whilst changing the lower heating values. Possible scenarios of the problem are mathematically formulated and implenented in GAMS enviroment. The outcome of this work are the parameters of the combustion grate.
Least-squares fitting of multivariate data
Hrabec, Pavel ; Bednář, Josef (referee) ; Tomášek, Petr (advisor)
Thesis sumarizes basic theory required for inference of aproximation using the least squares method and aplicates this method on data obtained from engineering practice. Within thesis were created programs, in MATLAB enviroment, to solve this problem. MATLAB already contains several algorithms, wich are useful for solving this problem. Thesis includes comparsion of properties and test of those algorithms.
Statistics Control of Process Described by Attributive and Continues Variable
Blachut, Vít ; Martišek, Karel (referee) ; Bednář, Josef (advisor)
The principle of the statistic hypothesis testing is explained in the first part of this bachelor thesis. Specifically, there is explained into depth the independency test for discrete probability distribution and its possible application on the real data. The second part of this bachelor thesis is dedicated to the monitoring of the stability process, using the control charts that are primarily used for assessing the process to be stable or beyond control. The focus is especially on chosen construction diagrams deduction. The suitable diagrams are then applied on the real process data, and later there are implemented tests of definable causes. The bachelor’s thesis was supported by project from MSTM of the Czech Republic no. 1M06047 Center for Quality and Reliability of Production.
Measurement System Analysis for Attributes
Širjovová, Zuzana ; Martišek, Karel (referee) ; Bednář, Josef (advisor)
Method Measurement system analysis or MSA is very exploited method for determination of the number of same and different produces today. Assesment of rightness of measurement system is often used but on the other hand it is mathematically deficiently catched up. The measurement systems analysis is more necessary, if a production system and the produce are very complex and advanced. Therefore requierement of MSA use in different types of industry is very common. MSA for attributes is the basic subject of my bachelor thesis. Complete MSA for attributes will be shown here with collecting datas and then their processings and evaluations. Software MINITAB 15 will be used for this procedure. The bachelor’s thesis was supported by project from MSTM of the Czech Republic no. 1M06047 Center for Quality and Reliability of Production.
Teradata: Application of MVC and BLC on data warehouse.
Bednář, Josef ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Gála, Libor (referee)
The topic of the thesis has been chosen based on efforts of an unnamed company for better data warehouse optimisation. Since the ETL process at the company has been changed, which led to the migration to Teradata database system, it would be appropriate to perform both the operation optimisation, as well as capacity optimisation. The first part of the thesis describes the Teradata concept and its architecture. This part particularly focuses on the Statistics which belong to the system operation optimisation. The main part of the thesis subsequently deals with Compression. Teradata uses several types of compression. The practical part brings the application of Multi Value Compression which has been performed via an appropriate tool. In order for the generated scripts to work correctly, they had to be adjusted. Additionally, defect reporting was performed and the communication with the development team also took place. The results of the table compression is compared with the estimations. The compression was applied on the production environment. The BLC process consisted of appropriate tables identification and compression testing. Based on the results of the testing, recommendations have been established.
Cloud computing: The analysis of possible solutions
Bednář, Josef ; Pour, Jan (advisor) ; Šedivá, Zuzana (referee)
The aim of the bachelor thesis on "Cloud computing: The analysis of possible solutions " is primarily a technical presentation of the current phenomenon of cloud computing, then assembled with the comparising scenario assessment of the performance of applications 365 Office and Google Apps, and to evaluate its suitability for the deployment in mid-sized companies. To fulfill the above objective work, I gave the first study of the entire cloud issue - its definition, methods of securing and study of legislative frameworks and standards that relate to the cloud issue. After studying theoretical perspective on the cloud, I focused on software products 365 Office and Google Apps. To final section, a comparison of selected applications, I came up with study materials and the creation of test scenarios. In the first part of the thesis I focus on the description of cloud computing from the perspective of the individual models, which are put into operation. The following section describes the cloud security, the benefits which it can deliver to company and on the other side, where they can see the downside. Another framework is legislation, as it directly af-fects the security and establishes rules to be observed. In the optimal state legislation pro-vides safeguards and protects both providers and users. Right in work is therefore given the diversity of law, affecting cloud computing in different countries and also on what to watch out for contracting with providers. The second part presents the characteristics of products, Office 365 and Google Apps, then describes the introduction and implementation of the configuration of individu-al products, which are the necessary steps for the mutual comparison. The very creation of the comparison of 365 Office product and Google Apps prod-uct was made by mine in advance proposed test scenario. In the final part is the result of a comprehensive evaluation and comparison accord-ing to established criteria and their weights is chosen recommended more suitable product. Thesis highlights the importance of understanding the cloud, among other because of careful choice of model of cloud, and also choice of a provider. The outcome of the test scenarios work gives an overview of the functionality and product reviews 365 Office and Google Apps. Based on the comparison of results and supporting information for each product, I recommend the more appropriate one. The work is not only beneficial for those interested in understanding the cloud, but also for companies contemplating about the de-ployment model Software and services to their business.
