Nutrition disordes in the intensive care unit

The graduation theses is oriented on the problems of nutrition disordes in the intensiv care unit. In the theoretical part are contained a basic informations about nutrition disordes. In the practical part is covered the nursing case report of the patient suffering from anorexia nervosa and with the help qualitative research were charted indices to related hospitalization the patients with nutrition disordes in the unit intensive specializations.
Dying and Death on ICU

Thesis deals with death and dying on intensive care wards from the perspective of nurses. In the theoretical part are concepts such as death, dying, Thanatology etc. explained. The work also highlights the status of nurses in palliative care. In the last chapter of the theoretical part is briefly described the type of workplace of ICU, care of patient in this ward and patients needs . Empirical part of this work is focused on finding out problems and feelings eventually knowledge of nurses working on the ICU for the care of dying and dead. To obtain data for research part was chosen quantitative research, data collection techniques structured questionnaire. There were chosen 4 goals of this thesis. Objective 1: Identify the most common feelings of nurses working on the ICU during the care of dying and death. The second goal: Identify what is most frustrating for nurses during the care of dying and death on the ICU. The goal 3: Investigate hierarchy of dying patients needs from the perspective of nurses working on the ICU. Goal 4: Identify interest of nurses working on the ICU in further education in the sphere of care of the dying and the provision of palliative care at the ICU.
The urgent medicine at the military training and in the foreign misions

The main goal was inform civil medics about usage acute (immediate) medicive in our military mediacal support and battle and placekeeping mision. In front line Dressing station Role -1 the medics can affect surfoval and recovery of soldier that was hurt or sich by thein tasks and knowledges. The work was dividend Inko five chapters. The introductory part is focused on history of military medicine, her posihilities use in presents and mainly in missions. The charter is aids of basic account of comformities and differences in acute medicine and in disaster medicine. In others charter is naped basic strukture of military medicine with action statement of garrison infirmaries. The lost part of theoretic is fully focused on aktivity Role 1 in Kosovo. Praktical (observational) port of diploma work contains light casustries. They adds theoretical ports. These casustries passed of during my working in mission (KFOR-Kosovo Force, Kosovo 2007) and on army training two. The Management of Patients in the Vegetative State

The goal of this thesis is in picturing the problems of care about the patients in the Vegetative State in intensive care units at Prague and Region of Central Bohemia. The thesis shall reveal fundamental informations about the number of patients in the Vegetative State, to take of basal stimulation in nursing care, cooperating with the family and assess the consciousness of these patients. The theoretical part is devoted to description of the Vegetative State, basal stimulation, reaction of family, needs of family members, basic examination of consciousness. The research part is heading towards the goal of this thesis a survey based verification of the lied out hypothesis. Research was realized from December 2008 till February 2009. The list of questions was intended for sister wards at intensive care units. The outcomes are summarized in the discussion and the final part of the thesis. The average rate of occurrence these patients is higher then in published foreign studies. The result of this thesis is not acceptable for representative and applicable exoteric health care institutions.
Care of patients udergouing aortocoronary bypass grafting

The thesis deals with coronary heart disease and focuses primarily on the surgical treatment and postoperative care. The theoretical part contains: anatomy and 5 physiology of heart and blood circulation; brief description of coronary heart disease; its preventative and non-surgical options of treatment; surgical revascularization of myocardium and lastly also care of patients undergoing aortocoronary bypass grafting from medical and paramedical point of view. Empirical part of dissertation is aimed to be a comparison of levels of knowledge of students attending further university education Intensive care and nurses working in postoperative wards of intensive care in VFN in Prague and FNKV in Prague. To obtain the data was used quantitative research method - the method of the knowledge test. On the basis of the results of the research was created educational brochure focused on the drugs given to patients in postoperative period.
Nursing Care for Patient with Intraaortic Ballon Contrapulsation

The thesis deals looks at the nursing care of a patient following the introduction of a intra-aortic balloon pump (IABP). The theoretical component contains the relevant anatomy and physiology of heart and aorta, and a description of the intra-aortic balloon pump including its history, principle, diseases which indicate or counterindicate its usage, diagnostics and therapies used for these diseases. The theoretical component also contains definition and standard of nursing care. 5 The practical part is focused on the complex intensive nursing care for a patient with an implemented intra-aortic balloon pump at The Department of Anaesthesiology, Resuscitation and Intensive Medicine in the General Faculty Hospital. The conclusion of my thesis looks at the standard for IABP implantation and the management of the cannula site.
The cae about patient with liver transplant

I wrote my thesis about The care of patient with transplant liver. The work is divided into theoretical and practical part. I directed the theoretical part to anatomy and function of liver and gall-bladder ways, liver's diseases, which conducted to transplant of liver patiens, whose case reports I will work in the practical part. I present etiology, clinical symptoms, diagnostik, complication and treatment of diseases. I paid attention a special chapter to problematic of transplant of liver. In the practical part I work out case report sof two patiens with transplant of liver, who were hospitalized in Clinical anesteziology, resuscitation and intesive care in IKEM. In the first case report I describe course of hospitalization of patient with liver cirrhosis. In the second case report I desribe course of hospitalization of patient with acute hepatic failure on the strength of Wilson's disease. At first I work out a course of important days for treatment.I took nursing anamnesis. I set needs of patiens and then I describe nursing interventions. The Problems of Craniocerebrals Injury in Intensive Care

The topic of this Thesis is the intensive care of patiens suffering from a craniocerebral Injury, such injuries contributing to high mortality and morbidity in patiens with trumas. The theoretical part of this Thesis gives a brief outline of the anatomy and physiology of the head and goes into a greater detail into the kinds of injuries, their symptoms, diagnostics, and treatment. The empiricical part hereof is produced in the form of case study and focuses on the intensive care of patients so injured. The chosen patient in the case was a jung man after a traffic accident who had suffered from a very serious craniocerabral injury. Monitored is his hospitalization from his reception to his release from the AR ward. The tenth day hospitalization is dealt with in detail.
Questions of anesthesia and perioperative care from patients view

The main purpose of my graduation thesis was find out how informed the patients are in choosing types of anesthesia, its range and restriction. Than I observed an influence of a general nurse on patient's informedness on anesthesia. Main principle of my thesis is an empiric part, where I was caried out a quantative research. Here I bring a result which I obtained from a group of patients of two Prague hospitals. The informedness of patients and their point of view on influence of nurse turned out to be on quite good level there.
Early Postoperative Monitorings and Nursing Practice Guidelines in Patients after Cardiac Surgary

The Master's Thesis "Early postoperative monitoring and nursing practice guidelines in patients after cardiac surgery" is devided into two parts. The introduction of the first theoretical part contains a definition and a brief explanation of the scope of cardiac surgery. The following text discusses the organization of postoperative care in cardiac surgery, the postoperative patient monitoring and the most common nursing practice guidelines followed in cardiosurgical intensive and resuscitation care units. The second empirical part explains the research goals, the operational hypothesis, the organization and methods of research, the characteristics of target group of respondents, the presentation of results in research of adherence to nursing practice guidelines in cardiosurgical ICU in prevention of complications, the assessment of competence of nurses, the definition of the most frequent complications of invasive entries, the assessment of the most difficult nursing practice guidelines and verification of theoretical knowledge of the nurses regarding the duration of their practice and the level of achieved education. This part concludes by the evaluation of the research goals and operational hypothesis in a discussion.
