Conception of Musicians' Education in the Czech Pentecostal Church

Marie Tesárková Diplomová práce 2013 Abstract: This work contains a summary of history of Czech Pentecostal Church and of its musical impact on the society. The Conception of Musicians' in Czech Pentecostal Church utilizes surveys of other evangelical churches, that were executed by e-mail correspondence with their leaders. An on-line questionnaire for contemporary musicians of Czech Pentecostal Church became another ground for this work. Thus the proposal for a conception considers all aquired information, along with education plans of several Czech schools of Art and with education plans of American Central Bible college. "Czech Marian Music" by Adam Václav Michna z Otradovic

The bachelor thesis deals with Michna's songbook Czech Marian Music from 1647. The main goal of the thesis is to describe Michna's life and work in the context of the creation of his first songbook. The insight into the musical structure of Czech Marian music will be completed with literary and language part. The literary analysis should not be overlooked, considering the fact that Adam Václav Michna z Otradovic was not only a musician but above all an excellent poet.
Person of Jaroslav Kocian and his influence to the musical development of the town Ústí nad Orlicí

Bachelor dissertation ,,Jaroslav Kocian and his influence on the musical development of the town of Usti nad Orlici " is focused on his activities in Usti nad Orlici. This has been described since his childhood, his presence in Cecilia Musical Society, the time of holding concerts in the city until the artist's death. The aim is to summarize Kocian artistic activities in Usti nad Orlici, to characterize the personality of Jaroslav Kocian from different poin of views and to highlight his ability to awake great musical enthusiasm in Usti. His tremandous willingness combined with his other abilities such as organizing events, playing violin, singing and conducting led to increase the cultural level of the city. Due to the influence of Jaroslav Kocian and other enthusiastic musicians with a rich musical tradition the town Usti is still famous today. Especially, Elementary Music School of Jaroslav Kocian, Chamber Orchestra of Jaroslav Kocian, Festival "Kocian's Usti" and Kocian's Violin Competition are well known and the most important institutions.

This bachelor thesis is dedicated to the teachers of music at elementary and high schools in the Czech Republic. It should be used as a source of information about broadside ballads, media studies. The aim of this work is to describe the role of broadside ballads in the Czech lands as "mass media" of its time, to evaluate its artistic significance and to compare its characteristics with the current media production. Furthermore, the thesis should offer the materials and ideas for lessons of music connected to the issues of the media consumption.
The City of Čelákovice and the Prominent Figures of the Local Musical Life

Résumé This graduation thesis The City of Čelákovice and the prominent figures of the local musical life deals with the town's history and culture, focusing mainly on the prominent figures, orchestras and other bodies of the local musical life. The paper is divided into six chapters. The introduction is dedicated to the birth and development of the city, the second chapter introduces various cultural institutions. The remaining chapters focus on the main topic of the thesis. Special attention is given not only to the prominent baroque composer Jan Zach, or to Bohumír Hanžlík, a celebrity on the current musical scene, but also to other less prominent people who left the mark on the city's musical history. The contents and focus of the paper make it especially suitable to those interested in the town of Čelákovice, its culture, prominent figures and musical history.

The work is concentrated to the past or present teachers, and also to the school-leavers, who excelled at the artistic or pedagogic activity in the region. These are the main personalities who will be give the largest space in the work: Bohumil Bouda, Bohumír Štědroň, Zdeněk Jílek, Antonín Nosek, Milan Bialas, Vlastimil Bialas, Petr Šandera, Petr Fiala, Antonín Rous, Pavel Jirák, Dana Fučíková, Václav Hoskovec, František Fiala, Hana Škarková, Kateřina Hebelková and Roman Patočka.
Half a century existence of Kladno Miners'Choir

Kladno miners' choir is a mixed choir, which operates in Kladno since 1958. Budding singing group initially featured only occasionally, but with the advent of conductor Roman Makarius given new impetus to the expansion of the repertoire and the tenth season of performing a concert with a separate program. HPS Kladno repertoire is divided into blocks and presented concerts of traditional and occasional performances. The College cooperates with solo artists and symphony orchestra, presents annually abroad. Active musical work is rich and HPS Kladno belongs to the cultural life of the city whose name it bears in its name. The membership of the choir is made up almost a third of teachers. The questionnaire survey demonstrated reflection of the choir membership in their teaching practice. Use of the choral repertoire for singing, listening and educational activities. Educators also use suggestions from the style of management staff. A significant contribution to the development of the musicality of each member of the targeted work with voice, music skills and expanding awareness of the musical heritage of other nations.
