Analysis, design and implementation of web application according to the MMSP methodology
Menčík, Michal ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Ženíšek, Jan (referee)
Bachelor thesis deals with analysis, design and deployment of a web application that aims to improve an existing system of evidence of student's internships, which are part of minor specialization '4KS' at the Department of Information Technology, University of Economics Prague. The main goal of this paper is to create a sample solution of software project with use of the Methodology for small software projects (MMSP), which may serve as inspiration when solving similar projects. First part of this paper outlines the theoretical basis of this work, describing utilized methodology and technologies. Subsequently in the second part, the work deals with practical requirements analysis and design of the application itself. Other disciplines of MMSP methodology, such as architecture, implementation, testing, and project management are also included. Web application for recording lifetime goals
Kašpar, Jakub ; Hradil, Jiří (advisor) ; Ženíšek, Jan (referee)
The bachelor thesis highlights the importance of setting life goals and deals with the implementation of the recording tool. There are currently several solutions to the issue, which are very popular especially in the Western world. These solutions are outdated because they were created more than 8 years ago and since then there has been no major innovation. With the rapid development of today's technologies can be offered a much simpler and more user-friendly tool for recording life goals. The aim of this work is to create a minimal viable product that will enable a customer to record their life goals. To achieve the goal, it was first necessary to find and compare existing solutions to choose the appropriate benchmarks and to define the scope of implementation of our own life recording tool. In addition, it was necessary to select the appropriate tools and technologies, create wireframes to test the user interface and then incorporate knowledge into the application design. From the resulting design, a data structure design was created, followed by the development of the tool itself. The author's contribution consists in comparing and evaluating selected existing solutions that have identified some shortcomings. These were incorporated and better solutions are implemented into the author's own instrument for recording life goals.
Testing of mobile aplications
Mačura, Viktor ; Ženíšek, Jan (advisor) ; Buchalcevová, Alena (referee)
This bachelor thesis is focused on testing a mobile application with use of a tool called crash reporter. This tool can be useful for different developer companies in the way of improving their application thanks to users and their feedback or other functions like automatic reports. In line with the goals of this work I am gradually introducing basic terms, testing disciplines and also procedures and testing methodologies used in practice. There is not missing introduction of advantages of current mobile devices and the main part, which is presentation of tools and its capabilities used in company called Alza. The main functions and differences are summarized at the end in the clear table.
Selecting an open source tool for test management
Tauer, David ; Ženíšek, Jan (advisor) ; Buchalcevová, Alena (referee)
This bachelor's thesis focuses on selecting an open source tool for test management for a small development team in a medium-sized software company which develops its own product. The main objective is to select the most suitable test management tool using criteria adapted to a particular company. To achieve this objective, it is suitable to first describe software testing in general, such as its life cycle, types of tests, and furthermore to define terms which are used in the thesis. The following chapters include the description of the company for which the test management tool is being selected, which goes into detail about the current methods of testing, as well as specific customs of testing in this company. The next chapter offers an overview of the tools from which the most suitable tool is being selected, including the description of the criteria used to select the tool and methods of their evaluation. Afterwards, the selection of the most suitable tool is performed which is evaluated in the conclusion chapter. The selection method described in this thesis and the following deployment of the selected tool, as well as other internal changes, will help improve the testing workflow in the company and thus improve the quality of the product supplied to the company's customers.
Development of 2D games using HTML5
Dědek, Martin ; Ženíšek, Jan (advisor) ; Buchalcevová, Alena (referee)
The main aim of this thesis is to introduce the possibilities of using HTML5 for developing 2D games. The thesis begins with a theoretical part that defines basic concepts and technologies available in HTML5 that are applicable to game development. The main emphasis is put on the use of element canvas and on creating game controls. This theoretical introduction is followed by a brief overview of the most widely used frameworks and libraries. Everything comes into practice in the practical part of the thesis that shows design and implementation of simple games. Each game uses different principles and technologies, so that most parts of the theory are presented. One of the games serves as an example of using the Phaser framework.

This thesis also contributes to the small list of Unity manuals written in Czech language, which are kept up to date with the lastest version 5.6. The thesis is divided into two parts, theoretical and practical. The theoretical part starts with recherche of other sources about the same or similar topics. Then it describes important terms related to game industry. Practical part shows how to manipulate with environment by making a new 3D game using several Unity components.
MMSP methodic expansion for support of modern web application development
Bárta, Jan ; Buchalcevová, Alena (advisor) ; Ženíšek, Jan (referee)
Development of web applications with JavaScript language has been moving forward really fast recently. Methodic for software development, on the other hand, not so much. Those methodic were often created way before JavaScript was so popular and so they might not reflect needs, which development of modern web applications using JavaScript brings. This thesis focus on opportunities, needs or threats of modern web applications development and its combination with Methodic for small software projects. Thesis define what is considered as a modern web application, identify practices and tools needed for development and how they relate to the existing version of MMSP. Based on this comparison thesis offers extension of this methodic for development of modern web applications.
Panoptical tropes and negotiations between art and politics in Charles Johnson's short fiction
Ženíšek, Jakub ; Procházka, Martin (advisor) ; Jařab, Josef (referee) ; Veselá, Pavla (referee)
Doctoral dissertation: Panoptical tropes and negotiations between art and politics in Charles Johnson's short fiction Abstract The dissertation traces the uneasy marriage between ideology and aesthetics in African American literature, and its reflections in Charles Johnson's short fiction. The historical introduction is an attempt to reevaluate the tradition of ideological self-policing in African American literature. Its central thesis resides in the claim that African American literature and its critical reception has still retained some of this ideological template, in a manner and degree that throws it out of sync with the mainstream trajectory of American literature. This lingering anachronism cannot be legitimately attributed to a single causative circumstance, yet one of the more obvious explanations for this residual trend is the living memory of overt discriminatory practices in many parts of the United States, which is why the centrifugal literary discourses of assimilationism and protest fiction are still very vibrant. This simple argument alone provides a sufficient basis for contextualizing and understanding the thesis that ideological writing still inadvertently manages to find its way into African American fictional pursuits. This is also underscored by the observable fact that even the...
