Preparation of grafted PP with diferent concentration of MA and IA
Běťák, Lukáš ; Žídek, Jan (referee) ; Kučera, František (advisor)
The bachelor thesis deal with a preparation and a characterization of polypropylene grafted with anhydrides carboxylic acids in a melt. A present knowledge about radical grafting was summarized in a theoretical part. Samples of polypropylene grafted with itaconic anhydride (IA) and maleic anhydride (MA) were prepared in the experimental part. 2,5 dimethyl 2,5bis(tert-buthylperoxy)hexane (Luperox 101) was used as a radical initiator. A Brabender mixer was used for experiment, conditions for grafting were 210 °C, 30 RPM and 6 min. Weight concentration of grafted monomer was in range 0,25 wt % 1 wt %. It was found that a degree of conversion depended on concentration ratio of initiator to monomer. Attached carboxylic groups to polypropylene backbone were confirmed by FTIR spectroscopy. The percentage of grafting was determined by acid-base titration.
Preparation of PP composites by grafting using monomer treated filler
Kramerová, Nina ; Žídek, Jan (referee) ; Kučera, František (advisor)
Bachelor thesis is focused on preparation of composite materials with polypropylene matrix. The composites were prepared “in situ” with using Brabender mixer. Homogenization of matrix and filler and grafting of PP with anhydride of itaconic acid treated filler proceed together according to radical mechanism of polymerization. Luperox 101 [2,5-dimethyl-2,5-di(tertbutyl-peroxy)hexane] was used as an initiator of the reaction, the concentration of the initiator was 0.5 wt %, processing temperature 210 °C, 30 rpm. PP-g-IA is a compatibilizer between the matrix and the filler. Glass fibers, calcite and two types of ground wood pulp were used as filler. Two analytical methods were chosen to analyze the efficiency of grafting, acid-base titration and infrared spectroscopy. Assigned conversion of monomer was from 42 to 87 % for various fillers.
Supervisory boards of state-owned enterprises
Zídek, Jan ; Dvořáková, Vladimíra (advisor) ; Vymětal, Petr (referee)
This dissertation deals with the issue of Supervisory boards in Czech state-owned enterprises. At first it defines a clear set of terms to differentiate within appropriate legal forms of state entrepreneurship applicable in Czech Republic. Thereafter it offers the analysis of implementing the nomination process recently brought to our governmental system. The empirical part of this thesis is constituted by the qualitative research of personal policy of the state in four selected stated-owned enterprises carried out for the period from 2006 till 2015. Education, working experience, political membership and personal integrity were the main focus areas while researching the members of selected supervisory boards.
Advanced signal processing in composite material properties investigation
Blaháček, Michal ; Landa, Michal ; Zídek, Jan
Composite material parameters evaluation depends on our ability to simplify complex wave field. Fractional wave mode arrival usually evokes transient effects in the measured signal. In the paper new method of transient effects detection is discussed. The method is efficient tool for fractional wave mode detection and wave arrival time computation.
Laser-generated ultrasound in solids
Blaháček, Michal ; Zídek, Jan ; Landa, Michal ; Urbánek, Přemysl ; Bajgar, Vlastimil
To better understand ultrasonic wave propagation in thin-wall structures and to evaluate physical properties of the structure material, new method for ultrasonic wave generation are necessary. Optical technique using Nd:YAG pulse laser as the wave source is suitable method example. In the paper laser ultrasound technique is discussed and some important results of wavelet analysis are shown.
Evaluation of anisotropic properties of composites using laser-generated ultrasound
Landa, Michal ; Blaháček, Michal ; Zídek, Jan
This nondestructive, and partially noncontact method have a potential for material evalution of layered anisotropic structures.
Material assessment of thin wall constructions by means of contactless
Blaháček, Michal ; Landa, Michal ; Zídek, Jan ; Urbánek, Přemysl
The report deal with laser emitted acoustic emission (AE) sources reproducibility. Relation between the AE sources parameters and the source - transducer distance is observed. Symetric and antisymetric elastic wave modes decomposition using bandpass f
Elastic wave attenuation in glass plates
Blaháček, Michal ; Zídek, Jan
Elastic wave attenuation in glass plates and reproducibility of laser excited AE sources are discussed.

Effective corporate governance in times of economic uncertainty
Žídek, Jan ; Matuštík, Ondřej (advisor) ; Oškrdal, Václav (referee)
As a result of the financial crisis are companies forced to face uncertainties which significantly affect corporate governance. Companies have many ways how to face this issue. This work is focused on the possibility of using modern system Corporate Performance Management. The first part describes the impact of financial crisis on the Czech economy, business environment and are being defined most characteristic uncertainties, businesses must address. In this section is also mentioned the historical development of information technology and management information systems, which are closely linked with the managerial decision-making and enterprise management. In next section of the work are mentioned reasons of emergence of Corporate Performance Management, being described the basic principles of continuity with Business Intelligence and are being defined methodologies, metrics, processes and technology. Based on the study of literature has been chosen model of strategic management principles the Balanced Scorecard within which have been defined the mission and vision of companies located in times of certainty and uncertainty. Also were established strategic objectives of both different situations whit which were applied of appropriate metrics. Another part is focused on process of business planning reflected again in different situations certainties and uncertainties. Being mentioned theoretical facts associated with the basic management disciplines and are created by different planning models. In conclusion it is mentioned the question of implementation, the mapping of the largest providers of modern solutions and are being set trends for future years.
