The use of Electrical Properties of Composites with Modified Cement Matrix
Macháň, Ladislav ; Husák, Miroslav (referee) ; Sýkora, Jiří (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The dissertation thesis is focused on practical use of composite material with modified cement matrix. Especially the area of electrical behavior of composite materials in use has been examined, for strain sensing material. The experimental part solves the problematics of corrosion of carbon and metallic materials in alkaline environment of the cement matrix. The physical design of the sensor and its fabrication using functional composite cement material have been described here. The thesis has also discussed defining the influence of temperature change and humidity change on the change of electrical parameters of integrated sensors. An important part of the thesis is the area of evaluating a series of measurements of electrical parameters under dynamic loading. The thesis analyzes designed measurement method in detail, being suitable to determine electrical properties of cement composite materials including the construction of a monitoring system that enables practical application of sensors in complex structures.
Design of the wireless sensor and communication network
Ptáček, Zdeněk ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
The thesis deals with the study of the existing wireless network types, propose and realisation of a dedicated wireless network based on using nRF24L01+ wireless module. The aim is to design a simple, reliable and multifunctional low-cost wireless network. The cellular tree topology and random retransmission delay are used to eliminate cross-talks. Low propagation time is achieved by using ALOHA Access Protocol. Network units cooperate with peripherals in order to measure temperature, humidity, illumination level and other. The power down mode is used to increase duration of battery powered network unit. Practical part of the thesis is focused on creating a computer program to control and set up the network. The network provides a central or autonomous mode.
The obstacle detection
Hradiský, Marek ; Čožík, Ondřej (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
Diploma thesis deals with design and the processing of video captured by Raspberry PI and the possibility of object detection in video. In this thesis is described Raspberry PI as well as video capturing by PiCamera module. There is also section about video processing by OpenCV.
Switching driver for high power LEDs with higher efficiency
Doležal, Miroslav ; Háze, Jiří (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
Problems in swithing converter and power losses in this circuit describe these master’s theses. Power losses have the primar influence on the total effectivity circuit. The first chapter deal swith principle of basic parts switching converter (buck, boost, buck-boost). The power losses on main elements used in switching circuit (diode, transistor) are explained in the next part this thesis. Theory of synchronous rectifiction for reduction of losses. A choice of two integrated circuit useful for future design of LED driver working in buck-boost mode is on the end of the theoretical part. The practical part is fosud on the design of circuits (with integrated circuits chose in the theoretical part) including schematic diagram, calculation of parts and PCB layout. The build samples are evaluated by set of measurements in the field of effeciency, temperatures of components, stability output LED current, EMC and soon. Finally the particular parameters of both tested circuits are compared
RF-controlled model car
Hradiský, Marek ; Pavlík, Michal (referee) ; Šteffan, Pavel (advisor)
The aim of this bachelor’s thesis is design and practica lrealization of remote- controlled car by the computer. This thesis describes concept of the system selection and description of the components. The practical part contains software implementation for computer also for microcontroller and the concept of printed circuit board for the controller.
Wireless sensor network
Šťáva, Radek ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Pavlík, Michal (advisor)
The main theme of this work is to design and make a modern network of wireless sensors, when the main used circuit in the sensor module and the receiver module is microcontroller Texas Instruments CC430F513x. Care is taken primarily at very low power of sensor module for long battery life when on battery power. It is also emphasis is on reliability involvement of miniature size, expandability and high precision modules of basic sensors.
Intelligent monitoring device
Nosek, Zdeněk ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Kadlec, Jaroslav (advisor)
This master thesis discusses design and realization of a security device for vehicles. This device can determine its actual location, discover unauthorized trespass and send information about this to a distant master system too. This distant master system can show the exact position of the security device on a map. The hardware and software for this security device and the software for the master system are described in this paper.
Electronic skylight
Coufal, Martin ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Boušek, Jaroslav (advisor)
Theoretical part of this thesis describes LEDs and other circuitry used for LED light design. LED light is designed, manufactured and put into operation. This thesis examines possibilities of measuring exterior light and its key parameters. The device uses two sets of LEDs – warm white and cold white to create light with parameters dependent on exterior light. LEDs are driven by constant current sources that are designed, manufactured and examined in this thesis. The device is microprocessor-controlled, which allows to switch between multiple modes of operation. Flyback SMPS is used to power the microcontroller.
Design of extremly low-voltage rectifier in CMOS technology
Musilová, Nikola ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Khateb, Fabian (advisor)
The aim of this work is to design a low-voltage and low-power rectifier using CMOS technology and an operational amplifier for input voltages in the order of tens of mV, which correspond to sensor and biomedical applications. The circuit allows both half-wave and full-wave rectification. The key parameters are high gain and very low power consumption of the operational amplifiers that make up the rectifier.
Device for recording data on memory card
Čaloun, Petr ; Šteffan, Pavel (referee) ; Pristach, Marián (advisor)
This work deals with design of devices for recording data using programmable gate array. The paper describes the principle of communication protocols used for communication with a memory card. The next part describes the selection of different interfaces, communication protocols and describes the design of data storage devices. The last part is focused on design of application for long time data collection.
