Freedom of speech and racial extremism
Štěrbová, Lenka ; Sádovský, Stanislav (advisor) ; Stracený, Josef (referee)
Apart from the basic definitions used in the paper, the main objective of this bachelor thesis is especially mutual correlation of freedom of speech as the one of basic human rights and race extremism which is undesirable phenomenon in mature society. The first section is devoted to definition of term "freedom of speech" by means of legal regulation included both in Declaration of Fundamental Rights and Freedoms and international agreements. To specify freedom of speech exactly, it is necessary to consider its limitation in a series of documents which are also mentioned in the introductory section. The second section of the thesis is focused on the definition of another significant term often used in the thesis - race extremism. A part of this section is a smaller sub-section containing one of many cases of race attacks. The main reason for choosing this case was personal participation of the author of this thesis in the attack. The main objective of this sub-section is not only presentation of the actual case but application of theoretical knowledge in this concrete case. No other cases were chosen so that the thesis did not receive any unwanted causative contents. The next section deals with the relation between the two above mentioned terms by means of Criminal Code and its articles which...

Most ecosystem services assessment tools attempt to quantify services on a landscape scale using simplified biophysical models or ecological functions. The most commonly used ecosystem classifications are land use / land cover or habitat, which can be combined with other information such as soil type or vegetation biomass. The aim of the study was to quantify selected ecosystem functions in the cities of Liberec and Děčín. For the evaluation of habitat biodiversity in 2003, a complete list of habitat types was prepared for the Czech Republic, which includes habitats processed in preparation of data for the creation of a national design of Natura 2000 sites of European importance (Habitat Catalog of the Czech Republic 2001 and 2010) and detailed description of more antropgenic influenced habitat (Sejak et al., 2003, Sejak et al., 2017). For 21 functional groups of habitat types, their production function, including oxygen production and the ability to minimize temperature fluctuations (to reduce the amount of radiated heat) was estimated to provide support and regulatory services to ecosystems (Seják et al. 2010). According to the assignment of the study, Elaboration of the layer of provision of selected ecosystem functions and services in the area of interest of the cities of Liberec and Děčín, biodiversity values determined according to BVM method, annual biomass, oxygen and evapotranspiration production for the entire cadastral territory of Liberec Kunratická and dam Harcov and for the cadastral area of Děčín.
History of The Primary Multi-age Classrooms School in Bolesiny
ŠTĚRBOVÁ, Lada
The thesis deals with the history and development of a small-class elementary school in the village of Bolešiny. The first part deals with the founding and history of the general school until 1918, the second history of the school between 1918 and 1939. The third part describes the period of the Second World War, the fourth deals with the period after 1948 to 1989. The last part maps the development of the school after 1989 up to the present.
Families in an adverse life situation - their migration among emergency shelters
ŠTĚRBOVÁ, Lada
The topic concerns families that were not lucky enough to live in their own house or apartment. It concerns families that, for various reasons, lost their house or apartment. They were moved out from rented flats, lodging houses, or their treaty on providing social service in another emergency shelter was terminated. In some cases, a family is not able to find a new house or apartment in time. These families then take advantage of emergency shelters. The purpose of this service is to mitigate or prevent social exclusion of people in such a situation where they lost their house or apartment. It is a resident service that provides people with no shelter a temporary place to stay. The final thesis consists of a theoretical and a practical part. The theoretical part consists of five subchapters dealing with the chosen issues. The beginning of the practical part defines the goals of the final thesis. The aim of this thesis was to map reasons for which families in an adverse life situation find it difficult to find a new house or apartment. Qualitative research and half-structured interview were chosen to find out the necessary information. The research was conducted in emergency shelters for families with children in the South Bohemian region. Seven communication partners took part in the survey. The method of open coding was used to evaluate the data. The results of the conducted survey show that there are several reasons for which families in an adverse life situation find it difficult to find a new house or apartment. The most frequent reason the communication partners mentioned was being a part of the Roma minority. Other reasons mentioned were a high number and the age of children in the family and the prejudice of the flat owners. Another issue that is hard to resolve is the lack of money to pay the deposit that flat owners require before renting a flat. This final thesis emphasises the need to adopt a law on social housing that should help to solve the flat situation of families in an adverse life situation.
Prediction of changes in landscape and biodiversity development as important factors in maintaining the current state of forest ecosystems

We used a combination of several analytical tools to analyse change and predict the land use, carbon storage and biodiversity assessment in the cultural landscape. First, the GIS layer, consisted of Habitat mapping (NCA CR 2014) for 138 natural and close to nature habitats and Corine LC for 54 more anthropically influenced habitats, was created. The Land Change Modeler (scenario type - business as usual, pixel resolution 500 m) was used to predict the development of land cover on the basis of data comparison in several historical periods (Corine LC from 1990, 2000, 2006, 2012). We also did prediction of carbon storage under climate change in model InVEST 3.0 – carbon. Changes in carbon storage were calculated from four carbon pools: above-ground biomass, below-ground biomass, necromass and soil organic carbon. To assess and predict the changes in biodiversity in the \nforest-agriculture landscape we used the model GLOBIO 3, which works with five basic driving forces for biodiversity loss: land use, infrastructure, fragmentation of territory, atmospheric nitrogen deposition and climate change. Last used model Marxan enables us to select up to now unprotected areas with a high degree of biodiversity and naturalness of habitats for environmentally friendly agriculture and forestry management.\n
Vliv vybraných parametrů chovatelského prostředí na živou hmotnost dojnic
Štěrbová, Lýdie
In my work I deal with analysis of the impact of selected parameters of the breeding environment to live weight of cows. Observations took place in the company Golden Farm Ltd. in the village Štětovice with 60 pieces of Czech Pied breed. Among the parameters ana-lyzed were breeding environment milk yields, order and stage of lactation. Attention was dowry-Vána stage of pregnancy and the effect of the calendar month of the year on the live weight of cows. Data were collected during one year starting from September 2014 to October 2015. The obtained results were obvious influences lactation and gestation stage on live weight of cows. Cows at first lactation during gestation had lower weight (713 kg) than on the fifth (816 kg). Furthermore, it was found to influence calendar months of the year. Here, the weight varied depending on the season. Effect of milk production on a live weight of cows, but not conclusively confirmed, although cows with higher average milk yield of 25 l have a higher body weight (749 kg) than cows with milk yield up to 20 liters (703 kg).
Antimikrobiální působení rostlinných extraktů proti mikroorganismům izolovaným z mléka a mléčných výrobků
Štěrbová, Lucie
The diploma thesis investigates antimicrobial effects of plant extracts (ethereal oil) on microorganisms extracted from milk and milk products. The theoretical part focuses on joghurt and its production, main pathogenic microorganisms and their secondary metabolites affecting health. It presents antimicrobial effects of selected plants and procedures minimising or completely inhibiting the growth of microorganisms. Thyme and anise serve as the evidence for antimicrobial agents; the inhibitory effects of these ethereal plants were observed on the growth of selected microorganism groups (lactic acid bacteria, coliform bacteria, Enterococcus bacteria and yeast) by using disc diffusion test method. The RTS - 1C machine was used to simulate model conditions. Thyme ethereal extract with concentration of 1 and 10 % was used for disc diffusion test method. Anise ethereal extract with concentration of 0,7 % was used for observation of microorganisms' growth in model conditions.
Dispute Settlement in the WTO
Mašková, Tereza ; Grmelová, Nicole (advisor) ; Štěrbová, Ludmila (referee)
The goal of this thesis is to introduce and evaluate the dispute settlement system currently applied under the World Trade Organization, especially with regard to its effectiveness. In the theoretical part of the thesis the historical development of the mechanism is described and the current WTO system is compared with its predecessor applied on the basis on the GATT agreement. Afterwards, the particular stages of the decision making proces are presented. The practical part of the thesis then identifies specific problems most commonly associated with the system, always with a help of some examples from the WTO decision making practice. As a response to these problems, the final chapter presents some proposals for improvement of the current system.
