The Impact of Labour Migration from Countries of Central and Eastern Europe on Labour Market of the United Kingdom since 2004

The thesis deals with immigration flows from Central and Eastern Europe to the United Kingdom and with its impact on wages and unemployment of the British population after opening the local labour market in 2004. The thesis analyzed statistical data focused on flows of immigrants and the conditions of the British labour market. The conclusion of this study is that these immigrants had no adverse effects on wages and unemployment of natives. In connection to the dual labour market theory are pointed out the advantages of immigration for a modern developed economy. Conclusions drawn from the United Kingdom and its experience with immigration from Central and Eastern Europe are applied to the German labour market which is currently still closed for immigrants from Central and Eastern Europe.

Swedish pension system - the inspiration for Czech pension reform

Demographic changes in age structure of czech population brings a number of problems relating to the financial sustainability of the pension system. The pension system in the Czech Republic consists of two pillars. The first pillar is mandatory, state-guaranteed and continuously funded. The second pillar (pension additional insurance) is a voluntary. The problems of financial sustainability of pension systems must be solved. Demographic changes are not only in the Czech republic but in almost all developed countries. CR has an opportunity to monitor the actions of other countries and inspired to find a solution. Successful reform has already been in the Sweden.

Return on investment in passive houses and their subsidies

Recently one of the most discussed themes is climate change and green parties come into a political scene. They further policy of ecological taxes which increase prices of energy. The consumers react to this increase of price and the demand of energy-saving style of life is increasing. That's why the passive houses are so popular in Europe especially in Germany, Austria and Switzerland. Czech Republic reacts against it with a grant programme "Green savings" which was debatable at the beginning. It is because of a condition that grants can be utilized only by people who will have a passive house built by suppliers from the List of Qualified Suppliers which is state on websites of Department of the Environment. That passive house is usually more expensive even if you get the grant. I would like to find advantages and disadvantages of The Green Savings programme. The main goal of Bachelor Thesis is finding out if is profitable to invest into passive houses development in Czech Republic in term of investment return. As good efficient example I use the seminar building of Centre Veronica Hostětín which is the first public building in Czech Republic.

The influence of the interest group ACEA on the EU institutions and their success in enforcing the interests of automobile producers

The aim of this bachelor work is the analysis and research of the influence of the interest group ACEA on the EU institutions and their success in enforcing the interests of automobile producers all over the world. In the beginning I will intend on the basic information about ACEA. Further I will engage myself how this organization influences the development of the automobile industry, especially the way how it enforces the interests of the producers. In the practical part I will analyze the problematic of the emissions CO2, concretely the problem of the reducing the emission limits CO2 of the transport from the European Commission and the automobile producers. In the final part I will search the role of ACEA which it played in the consequences of the economic crises in the branch of the automobile industry.

Bureaucracy as a phenomenon of public sector vs. private sphere

Cieľom práce je poukázať na hlavné príčiny vzniku byrokracie v štátnom aparáte, definovať rozdiely medzi verejným a súkromným sektorom a dôvody dlhodobej existencie byrokracie v sektore verejnom. V úvode je vysvetlený pojem byrokracia, uvedené hlavné charakteristiky. Na praktických príkladoch je skúmaná prítomnosť byrokracie v živnostenskom podnikaní a stavebnom konaní a v každodenných situáciach, ako súčasť života. V Závere sú uvedené možné praktické riešenia na minimalizáciu či odstránenie vplyvu samotnej byrokracie.

Zimbabwe under the Governing of Interest Groups

The thesis focueses on the problems of interest groups, from their establishement, operation,util their rough subversion and demote from power. As an example is shown application of the problem on Zimbabwe, the land where the interest groups are ruling. Interest groups are not only in governing sector but also in spheres of ordinary life. These groups are supporting power units from underneath, so they figure as their voting base. They are pushing through their own interests by exchanging their support and loyalty for the power units in elections or possible civil unrests. The other states have also their impact on the politics of Zimbabwe with their ideoligical tendencies and their own interests on operatio of power system and economic developement of Zimbabwe. Exactly on the economic politics and its mutual interconnection with activities of the govering groups from the view of lobby concerning the economy and also from the other view as how does the economic developement and other fators affect the govering groups I am concentrating at the end.

Ideologické rozložení voličů a politické strany v ČR

Bakalářská práce se zaměřuje na zkoumání ideologického rozložení voličů mezi jednotlivými ideově odlišnými stranami politického spektra v rámci České republiky. Úvodní část práce popisuje teorie zabývající se danou problematikou a podrobně rozpracovává zejména ekonomický pohled teorie veřejné volby a jednoho z jejich zakladatelů Anthonyho Downse. V další části práce se projevuje snaha porovnat tyto teoretické teze s reálným světem, a to na základě statistických dat, sociologických studií a analýz současné společnosti České republiky. Diskutován je i vliv různých determinačních faktorů, které mohou mít určující dopad na rozhodnutí voličů a výsledky tak výrazně vychýlit či zcela změnit. Práce ukazuje, že obecné teoretické teze lze na základě skutečnosti veskrze potvrdit, ale model zabývající se konkrétně studiem zákonistostí polymodálního rozložením voličů, jaké existuje v České republice, vyžaduje další vědecké analýzy rozvíjející již existující myšlenky a teorie.

Comparison of efficiency of the public courts with private courts in the Czech Republic

This bachelor thesis is comparing the public courts with private courts in the Czech Republic. Introducion of this bachelor thesis is focused on the theory of providing economics goods and then stickler's and adversary's argumentation for the public administration. The following part contains excurcus to operating principle of competition in formation law and private administration and exaction in medieval Iceland, Wild West, England and Bohemia. The main part of work is an analysis of efficiency of private and public courts in civil cases in the Czech Republic. The results of this analysis says that private courts are more efficient. The end of this thesis answers why are private courts more efficient.

PET Bottles in the Czech Republic

Práce se zabývá systémem záloh na PET lahve, o jehož zavedení v současnosti Ministerstvo životního prostředí uvažuje. Cílem práce je zjistit, zda je nutné tento systém zavádět, jaký vliv bude mít na chování spotřebitele a kdo stojí za tím, aby byly zálohy zavedeny a kdo naopak proti. Nejprve je popsána legislativa českého odpadového hospodářství, fungování systému nyní a ekonomické teorie týkající se chování spotřebitele. Dále se práce zabývá výhodami a nevýhodami systému záloh, popisuje faktory ovlivňující chování spotřebitele, zpracovává výsledky dotazníkového šetření a uvádí, které subjekty se vyslovily pro nebo proti systému a z jakých důvodů. Závěrem je rozhodnutí o tom, zda je systém pro ČR spíše výhodný nebo nevýhodný.

Impact of investment incentives on employment and development of a region

Práce se zaměřuje na problematiku investičních pobídek jako formy veřejné podpory a jejich vlivů na nezaměstnanost a rozvoj regionu. Veřejná podpora je primárně definována ve Smlouvě o založení ES. Danou problematiku pak detailněji rozpracovávají dva dokumenty: Pokyny k vnitrostátní regionální podpoře a Multisektorální rámec pro regionální pomoc velkým investičních projektům. V ČR je pak základním dokumentem zákon č. 72/2000 Sb., o investičních pobídkách. Investiční pobídky mohou mít formu slevy na dani, převodu technicky vybaveného území, hmotné podpory vytváření nových pracovních míst, hmotné podpory rekvalifikace nebo školení zaměstnanců a převody pozemků. Investiční pobídky jsou určeny na podporu zaostalých regionů a regionů s vysokou mírou nezaměstnanosti. Při analýze investičních pobídek je zkoumán jejich vliv na vývoj míry nezaměstnanosti a HDP. Analytická část je rozdělena na 2 části - část týkající se celé České republiky a část týkající se okresu Beroun. V závěru práce jsou uvedeny argumenty zastánců a "odpůrců" systému investičních pobídek.
