Creating a microclimate of an industrial building with high demands on its uniformity
Tůmová, Eliška ; Gebauer, Günter (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the optimization of microclimate of an industrial building. There is required constant temperature with minimal fluctuations during manufacturing process in the building. Due to insufficient cooling power of air-conditioning system was objective to design a solution that ensures stability of internal temperature during production especially in summer and simultaneously should be the solution economically acceptable. Simulation shows original state defined problems. Some new or unusual materials for solar shading are reviewed in the thesis by the experimental measurements and by the comparative method. To each material is assigned shading coefficient according to Czech standards, thereby is achieved universality for calculations of heat gains resulting from solar radiation. By one part of the experiments and their evaluation is determined thickness of the standard single glass glazing. It is also determined proportional transmittance of solar radiation for certain multiwall polycarbonates, which are currently used as fillers of industrial skylights and production hall‘s window openings. From experiments resulting design is subjected to the simulation. Comparison of temperatures is shown for the time before the installation of designed solar shading and after the installation of the solar shading.
Optimization of energy consumption in an office building
Horká, Lucie ; Adam, Pavel (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
The main aim of this thesis is optimization of energy demands in a new administrative high-rise building Vienna Point II located in Brno. Experimental part of the thesis deals with determination of real energy consumption during winter season and preparation of a set of climate data for theoretical simulations. Theoretical part is based on data obtained by experimental methods and is aimed on optimization of energy demands. The effect of suggested solution is analysed by software solutions which simulate building operation. Resulting energy demands obtained by simulations are compared with real energy consumption.
Simplified computer models of elements for an air distribution
Mishuk, Aliaksandra ; Gebauer, Günter (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
The goal of this master thesis is to create a simplified model of an actual swirl diffuser using CFD (Computational Fluid Dynamics) simulation, so that it would be easy to calculate (would have a simple geometry, a proper mesh and would enable quick definition of the model’s boundary conditions) and would also create an airflow pattern in space as close to reality as possible. In the process a CFD model with a certain geometry was created. Subsequently, various model settings were tested. Calculation results were compared with the results of the experimental measurement done using the PIV method.
Sensitivity analysis of the energy rating of buildings
Auer, Zbyněk ; Plášek, Josef (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
The master´s thesis was focused on parametric computer simulations of the energy performance of buildings. The aim is to determine the sensitivity of the individual operating and climatic influences on the final energy demand of the building, which will be reflected in final form Et-curve. Parametric simulation for building energy efficiency is planned to use the BSim and ready climatic database for a specific location in place of the assessed building. The outcome of the evaluation of the real use of property in Et-curve using a custom application.
Optimization of the indoor climate of an eatery by air conditioning
Mrázková, Hana ; Kašpar, Antonín (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
This thesis is focused on the optimization of the catering service internal environment by air conditioning in Brno. This concept uses a forced ventilation system and air conditioning. The theoretical part addresses the proper air distribution in the catering operation. The experimental part involves the measurement of carbon dioxide, air velocity, relative humidity and air temperature and the temperature of the thermometer ball. Depending on the observed values a technical solution was created in variations and applied in the calculation program.
Warm air heating and cooling the house
Rodková, Daniela ; Kašpar, Antonín (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with the inner climate optimalization of one - family house to which is associated private swimming - pool hall. In the one - family house there is designed air conditioning for hygienical air exchange, coller system for thermal stress removal during summer period and for heat losses coverage during winter period. In the private swimming - pool hall there is designed air conditioning for dehumidification and warm air heating of the hall. In addiction, there is designed floor heating in selected rooms. The source of heat for floor heating and TV heating - up is solved by new technology, which is, compared to classical boilers, environmentally friendly due to lowering CO2 emissions.
Dynamics of heating surfaces behavior
Oravec, Jakub ; Gebauer, Günter (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
The diploma thesis is focused on the research of dynamics of selected heating surfaces behavior. The aim of the thesis is to determine the dynamics of heating and cooling and to determine the effect of these characteristics on energy consumption of the building. The project part deals with the design of a heating solution for a residential building in three variants. An Energetic simulation is made for the designed variants, that compares the consumption of thermal energy during one year. The next simulation research the dynamics of selected large-scale heating surfaces. For each construction, nonstationary models of heating up and cooling were made, which are compared in terms of the thermal inertia.
Comparison of heat losses calculation by CSN 06 0210 and CSN EN 12831
Elcner, Jakub ; Šikula, Ondřej (referee) ; Košner, Jan (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with comparison of heat loss calculation by CSN 06 0210 and CSN EN 12831. This work contains short introduction to the heat loss calculation, definition of basic terms, detailed analysis of heat loss calculation by both standards, description of exemplar buildings, heat loss calculation and heat requirement for heating of buildings according to particular standards. At the end of the work the comparison and discussion of calculation results is presented.
Air conditioning of lecture halls
Vojkůvková, Petra ; Gebauer,, Günter (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
My thesis deals with evaluation of the current state of microclimatic conditions of problem areas in the L. Jaros Grammar School in Holesov and designing optimal air conditioning. Based on the measurements and simulations of airflow that were carried out, the design includes solution of air regulation and selection of appropriate options to its distribution, which will lead to improvement of thermal-moisture microclimate.
Optimizing of air distribution in schools
Cigánková, Kristýna ; Šíma, Jiří (referee) ; Šikula, Ondřej (advisor)
The thesis deals with the issue of indoor air quality of schools and kindergartens. It focuses particularly on the inadequate ventilation and the application of forced ventila-tion in these types of buildings. The proposed solution is applied to a kindergarten in Kuřim. Measurements of the C02 concentration levels were performed in the presence and absence of air conditioning. To elaborate the proposed solution a simulation was made using a software called ANSYS Fluent. Input values for the simulation were obtained from an experimental measurement of a ventilation diffuser made by a company called Climecon ROX using the PIV method. This diffuser was then installed in the kindergarten. The measure-ments were carried out in the framework of the project the experimental validation of numerical models of the air flow in buildings marked with FAST-S-6-3387.
