Evaluation of the Financial Situation of a Company and Proposals for its Improvement

The Bachelor´s thesis is focused on the examination of financial standing of the company Heineken Česká republika, a.s. in the period from 2007 to 2010 based on external, internal analysis of the company’s environment and methods of the financial analysis. Thesis consists of two main parts, theoretical and practical. First part of the thesis contains informations about the company and define terms which are important for evaluation of financial statements. In the second part are used theoretical information to evaluate a financial situation of the company along with specific proposals on future improvement of financial situation.

The principle of Kompetenz-Kompetenz in International Commercial Arbitration Abstract This Thesis analyses the Kompetenz-Kompetenz principle in the system of International Commercial Arbitration. The principle itself is described, and different approaches toward the Kompetenz-Kompetenz doctrine in International Commercial Arbitration are analysed in various international documents. Based on such observation, negative and positive effects of the principle are studied, just as much as its connection to the Separability of an Arbitration Agreement. In the latter part of this Thesis, the applicability and use of the Kompetenz- Kompetenz principle in the Czech Republic are observed and analysed. Finally, this thesis aims to discuss possibilities for the best practice for the application of the Kompetenz- Kompetenz principle in International Commercial Arbitration. A possibility of de lege ferenda suggestions is offered as well. The initial research question can be determined as follows: How can the Kompetenz-Kompetenz principle be applied in International Commercial Arbitration proceedings for the greatest mutual advantage and fairness of all parties, and is such a solution even possible? Deliberate Self-harm as a Specific Form of Addictive Behavior: A Concept of Non-substance Addiction Verification

Záměrné sebepoškozování představuje nutkavé jednání, které se vyskytuje zejména v období dospívání. Právě v tomto období se zvyšuje riziko experimentování a riskování v oblasti chování. Dospívající jedinec je tak vystaven mnoha rizikům a nebezpečím, kterým musí čelit a bojovat s nimi. Není-li na tyto okolnosti jedinec předem dostatečně připraven, může jim velmi snadno podlehnout. Sebepoškozování se pak pro dospívajícího často stává nástrojem na zvládání nebezpečných vlivů a nepříjemných pocitů. Přetrvávat může i několik let a sebepoškozování tak může v mnohých případech přerůst v jakousi formu "závislosti". Cílem práce je popsat fenomén záměrného sebepoškozování jako jednu ze specifických forem návykového chování, ověřit tak koncept nelátkové závislosti a poukázat na některé společné či podobné znaky se závislostmi látkovými.

Záměrné sebepoškozování představuje nutkavé jednání, které se vyskytuje zejména v období dospívání. Právě v tomto období se zvyšuje riziko experimentování a riskování v oblasti chování. Sebepoškozování se pak pro dospívajícího často stává nástrojem na zvládání nebezpečných vlivů a nepříjemných pocitů. Přetrvávat může i několik let a sebepoškozování tak může v mnohých případech přerůst v jakousi formu "závislosti". Cílem práce je popsat fenomén záměrného sebepoškozování jako jednu ze specifických forem návykového chování, ověřit tak koncept nelátkové závislosti a poukázat na některé společné či podobné znaky se závislostmi látkovými.

Nutrition Guidance for Colostomy Patients in South Bohemian Hospitals of Písek, České Budějovice and Tábor Before They Are Discharged Home.

There are about 10 -11 thousand colostomy patients in the Czech Republic nowadays. As the number of these patients goes up a system of complex nurse treatment should be prepared. Applying a colostomy bag means a deep inroad into patients´ personal, working and social lives. A stoma nurse help the patients to overcome new problems and difficulties. She also guides them in the care of stoma itself as well as of the diet. A specific nutrition is necessary to be followed as it can improve patients´ lives a lot. The aim of this work is to find out how much colostomy patients and nurses know about nutrition and drinking regime before patients are discharged home and if nurses in South Bohemian hospitals inform the patients. There were two hypotheses stated at the beginning. H1: Colostomy patients have enough information about nutrition and drinking regime before they are discharged. H2: Nurses inform patients about nutrition and drinking regime. To collect all necessary data, the method of questioning was used. Forty patients and sixty nurses in surgical wards were asked to fill in the questionnaires. The rate of return in all hospitals mentioned above was 100%. The patient questionnaires consisted of twenty questions and the nurse questionnaires of eighteen. Both hypotheses were proved, colostomy patients are informed about nutrition principles and nurses give them further information. The findings of the work will be offered to surgical ward sisters of the hospitals where the survey was done. They could be used for presenting at professional seminars for stoma and other surgical nurses who work with colostomy patients.
