Fingerprint Processing
Pšenák, Patrik ; Krajsa, Ondřej (referee) ; Říha, Kamil (advisor)
My master's thesis deals with the different techniques used in fingerprints processing for identifying fingerprints. Using the software tool Visual C++ and functions of OpenCV library I programmed a separate application, that is able to select from a database of fingerprints the most consistent with a comparative fingerprint images, even when they are mutually shifted in the direction of axes X and Y. The next step in my program is to gather the edges of the fingerprint image. Those obtained using Canny edge detector. Furthermore, getting the contours of the image edges. To determine, whether the contours are the same, just compare some characteristic points of contours. Next I use a histogram function to determine the number of points for approximation of contours and evaluating compliance fingerprints. Since the processing of the input fingerprint image (or rather the approximation of the contour points) remains in the picture as black (background) and red (the approximation of the contour points), this means, that zero and the last element of the histogram represent the number of black and red points. Comparison is in percentage and is obtained by subtracting the approximated points of contours image from the original fingerprint image of approximated contour points of matched fingerprints. It determined, what percentage of red points have disappeared, so as to match two fingerprint images. If on the resulting figure is not left neither a red point, that corresponds to 100% of the fingerprints Compliance.

Peloušek, Jan ; Schimmel, Jiří (referee) ; Říha, Kamil (advisor)
This Bachelor´s thesis considers the basics of epipolar geometry, explains the process of the automatic correspondency detection, describes principals of the fundamental matrix computation and finally the virtual camera view morphing between two images. There were described some of the basic Intel´s OpenCV library functions joined with this issue and describes de facto the computer stereo-pair processing. As a part of this thesis, there is the application, programmed in the C++ language in the Borland C++ Builder 6.0 developer´s environment by using the OpenCV library. This application demonstrates some of here-mentioned terms such as the fundamental matrix computation and the virtual camera view morphing. In relation to the Borland C++ Builder 6.0 using there was described the integration method of OpenCV to this environment.
Stereoscopic sensor for distance measurement
Vavroš, Ondřej ; Hasmanda, Martin (referee) ; Říha, Kamil (advisor)
This master's thesis will take us through theoretical procedure that allows us to determine the distance of an object by stereoscopic sensor. Part of this work presents the description of the steps to achieve image of objects, calibraton and rectification. At the next part our study provides an overview of algortihms for creating disparity maps and determining the distance of the object from sensor. In the following part of thesis deals with the implementation of these processes into aplication which aim is to measure the distance.
Standard baffle - laboratory device
Hodinka, Tomáš ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Balík, Miroslav (advisor)
The purpose of this project is the design and the construction of a laboratory preparation for loudspeaker measurements, a standard baffle. Standard baffle is a rectangular panel with a loudspeaker placed eccentrically. Measurements with this baffle are then done in an anechoic chamber. The main purpose of a standard baffle is the ability to measure loudspeakers without the effect, that is caused by the pressure properties of a closed baffle and without an acoustic short circuit. The standard baffle is designed, so that it is self-supporting, transferable by 2 people, easy to be stored, modular and able to support loudspeakers that are up to 12 inches in diameter. The designed baffle is detachable into 3 parts. The base, the panel, and the inserts. The base is a big, heavy board with a key on the upper side. This key fits into a key groove in the panel and that allows the two parts to assemble. The plane is made of four layers of different types of plywood. That allows the design to make a compromise between the toughness and weight. The inserts are designed, so that the replacement and manipulation of loudspeakers during measurement are as past and as simple as possible. During measurement the loudspeakers are mounted in their respective inserts, which can be mounted and dismounted from the standard baffle without any tools. The test measurements demonstrated that the standard baffle is unsuitable for reference measurements. Resonance of the plane, reflections from the base, refractions from the outer edges of the baffle and potentially different causes unduly distort the results of measurements. These distortions are displayed with a considerable consistency even between different loudspeakers. This indicates that these distortions could be filtered oud by, for example, using a specialized software.
Software Guitar Looper with Remote Control
Kalník, Jan ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Schimmel, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis deals with creating a software guitar looper in a visual programming language called Pure Data and also building a specific remote controller for it. The remote cont- roller will be based on a MIDI protocol. As a part of the software, there will be a special aligning algorithm, that will take care of precise alignment of the created loop on beat in the way that no other intrusive rhythmical or tempo related elements are present.
Processing of images of early spruce needles scanned by MR technology
Raichl, Jaroslav ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Gescheidtová, Eva (advisor)
This semester project deals with filtering of the images detected by use of NMR obtained by NMR application measurement of nuclear magnetic resonance (NMR). This thesis includes the theory of nuclear magnetic resonance, digital filters, basic digital filter banks structures, theory of Wavelet transformation and description of Signal to Noise Ratio calculation. Basic procedure of the MR signal denoising is summarized in the theoretical part of the thesis. The denoising of the images detected by nuclear magnetic resonance is described. In experimental part filtering methods for images denoising are described, which are implemented in program Matlab. These methods are based on Wavelet transformation, digital filter banks with proper thresholding. Effectiveness of filtering methods designed was verified on 2D NMR images. All of these 2D images were measure on MR tomography in the Institute of Scientific Instruments Academy of Science of the Czech Republic in Brno.

Spatial Function Estimation with Uncertain Sensor Locations
MHP application
Holík, Tomáš ; Říha, Kamil (referee) ; Číka, Petr (advisor)
This Master Thesis is engaged in designing an interactive application for online betting in the DVB-T environment. The application is determined to running at Multimedia Home Plattform MHP and it allowes digital television viewers to make a bet on a sport match broadcasted on the television. The whole application is written in the Java language. All the information about users and the match are stored in a MySQL database, which is accessible through a php script placed on the server with the database. The applicaton is running in a set-top box and communicates with the script through the set-top box return channel. The channel between the server and the script is unsecure, so the communication has to be encrypted. The encryption process uses a symmetric-key cipher AES, which uses a shared secret key for encryption and decryption. Each application generates its own pseuodorandom and crypthographicaly strong AES key and sends it to the server. To secure the secret key transsmision is used the public-key cipher RSA.
