The Changes in Structure of Steel P91 after Short Annealings
Král, Lubomír ; Čermák, Jiří ; Král, Petr
Phase composition of the steel P91 during annealing was studied with the aim to reveal the evolution of new phases. In this paper, the precipitation was characterized using energy-dispersive X-ray spectroscopy (EDS) and electron diffraction in transmission microscopy (TEM). Only Nb-rich particles were found in the studied samples austenitized at 1423 °C for 20h and water cooled. After tempering at 673 °C for 2 h, the formation mainly M3C type carbides and after tempering at 873 °C for 2 h, the formation of M7C3 and M23C6 was observed. These structure changes play an important role for stability and also carbon diffusion.
Marketing of extended and augmented products of museums and galleries
Čermák, Jiří ; Černá, Jitka (advisor) ; Dobisíková, Jana (referee)
The products of the cultural institutions have seen a major development in the past few decades and the supply is becoming more complex. Products and services are designed and produced with the aim of higher customers satisfaction. This thesis deals with the range of products which complement or extend the basic product of museums and galleries, that is exhibitions. The introduction is devoted to theoretical anchoring of ancillary products, its form and characteristics. The second part focuses on specific examples of ancillary products and services (museum shop, cafe and restaurant, lecturing services and educative programs). The paper also points out the deficiencies of the services provided by Czech museums and galleries and also suggests amendments necessary for further development of quality services in the cultural institutions. The final section deals with the legislative and economic aspects of ancillary services in the Czech Republic.
Product photography as a marketing tool
Hromasová, Vladěna ; Horný, Stanislav (advisor) ; Čermák, Jiří (referee)
The aim of this bachelor's thesis "Product photography as a marketing tool" is to point out the fact that the perfect product photography attract attention and that they are many times the reason for buying the product itself. Oftentimes it is not about theconsumers' ownership needs, but about their various emotional aspects and the fact that people generally like to identify themselves either with their idols, or with the vision of being better. Consumersthus leave themselves easily manipulated by it and variety of marketing agencies take advantages of it. However, hardly anybody realize that the final photography is the result of several hours of carefully thought work. Although, what is important is that the product photography is from the very beginning created with the aim to attract and sell. Due to this fact I look at the product photography as an marketing hence communication tool whose main task is to evoke emotions. Next aim of this thesis is the public survey which is to reveal how the consumers perceive and see product photography. In the practical part of this thesis I focus on the actual taking of advertising photography from four areas that are most close to me. Then I create a fictitious order to create a cover for D&D magazine and get the feedbacks through the questionnaire and from a professional itself -- the photographer.
The costs in financial accounting and their influence on the tax base
Puchernová, Karolína ; Jurka, Robert (advisor) ; Čermák, Jiří (referee)
This bachelor's thesis deals with issues of selected costs in accounting and fiscal regulations in conditions of the Czech republic. It refers to international rules in some cases, for example in case of definition of costs. The first two chapters pursue predominantly theoretical definitions, where the costs are analysed in detail from accounting and fiscal perspective. Practical part is contituted by the third chapter and the fouth chapter. In third chapter are interpreted selected practises of the Czech courts. The fourth chapter depicts concrete fiscal impacts on selected issues.
Are inhabitants of western Europe happier that inhabitants of eastern Europe?
Čermák, Jiří ; Němcová, Ingeborg (advisor) ; Karpová, Eva (referee)
The aim of master thesis is finding answers to the question, if inhabitants of western Europe are happier than inhabitants of eastern Europe. I want to compare standards of living in these regions based on the indexes of living standards. Further I want find out, if the happiness is measurable. Europe during the economic crisis has shown that GDP of countries slowed down, but is this economic indicator showing happiness of nations? Does it present satisfaction and well-being of the population? Can we identify some relation or dependence between GDP and happiness of the population? What are the indicators that are able to answer this question? A substantial part of my work will be comparison of the individual indexes of living standards and I will specify, what means standard of living and what are the components. In the practical part I want to compare reality in different areas of human life, which is related to the standard of living and to compare these data between the nations in western Europe and eastern Europe.
Evaluation and Financial strategy Plannig of AVG Technologies CZ, Ltd.
Čermák, Jan ; Špička, Jindřich (advisor) ; Boukal, Petr (referee)
The thesis aims to provide a complex financial analysis overview of the Czech software company AVG Technologies CZ, Ltd along with the financial strategy predictions applicable in the upcoming years. The evaluation of the company's financial condition is conducted using financial analysis instruments within 2008 -- 2013 period. The thesis is split into theoretical and research part. The theoretical part focuses on the methodology of the financial analysis, mainly the methodology definition, information streams and its major indicators. The research part of the paper, after a brief overview of the company's current status, applies the financial methodology previously defined in the theoretical part using publicly available financial statements of AVG Technologies CZ, Ltd. Taking the analysis outcome into consideration, the company's position is evaluated and the results are used to compare AVG Technologies CZ with the closest competition and is lately applied in bankruptcy-estimation & solvency models. Furthermore, such conclusions are used as a baseline for a strategic draft aimed at improving company's financial situation.Based on the results of financial and strategic analysis, AVG Technologies CZ can be considered a healthy and economically strong entity, which is expected from one of the major providers in software security industry.
Microscopic characterization of graphene material and electronic quality across neighbouring, differently oriented copper grains
Čermák, Jan ; Yamada, T. ; Ganzerová, Kristína ; Rezek, Bohuslav
We study graphene grown across the boundary of three such grains having bright, medium, and dark color in reflection. Raman micro-spectroscopy proves presence of mostly a monoor bi-layer graphene on all the grains. Yet intensity of Raman 2D band is grain-dependent: highest at the darkest grain and lowest at the brightest one. Contrary, conductive atomic force microscopy detects the highest conductivity at the brightest grain and the lowest current at the darkest grain. This is attributed to dominant electrical current path through graphene and underlying oxide thickness of which also depends on the type of copper grain. We correlate and discuss the results with view to better understanding of graphene growth and electronic properties on large area copper substrates.
CARBON DIFFUSION IN CARBON-SUPERSATURATED 9CR-1MO STEEL: ANOMALOUS TEMPERATURE DEPENDENCE OF CARBON DIFFUSIVITY
Čermák, Jiří ; Král, Lubomír
Carbon diffusion was studied in temperature interval 573 - 1073 K in carbon-supersaturated surface layer of 9Cr–1Mo steel P91 and in model Fe-15Cr binary alloy. Extremely low carbon diffusion coefficient D (by 3 orders of magnitude lower than the value D eq in material with equilibrium carbon concentration) was observed in carburized surface region of Fe-15Cr. Similar results were obtained for P91 above the temperature T n ~ 800 K. However, below T n , the values of D measured in P91 increased and approached the value of D eq . It seems that the non-Arrhenius behaviour of P91 steel around T n may be ascribed to the α → α + α’ phase decomposition. Possible effect of nitrogen upon the low-temperature increase in D in P91 steel was excluded.
The impact of curriculum reform in the area of leisure
ČERMÁK, Jaromír
This work deals with curricular reform and its relation to leisure education. Trying to locate the targets of education for the society model curriculum. When finding the key competencies understood as primarily a means of fulfilling the objectives of reform attempts to map these competences, in the practical part analyze the documents containing leisure facilities targets and looking how their goals coincide with the goals of the curriculum reform, and whether the objectives of the planned use of key competencies.
Initial Stage of Mutual Diffusion of Carbide in Iron
Čermák, Jiří ; Král, Lubomír
Initial stage of mutual diffusion close to carbon/iron interface was investigated in the present work. SIMS technique of concentration profiles enabled to study the carbon redistribution in the very early stages, when the diffusion process occurs – at least partly – in regions, where the carbon concentration exceeds the carbon concentration limit. It was observed that carbon diffusion coefficients are much lower under such conditions, than in Fe matrix with equilibrium carbon concentration. The measured carbon diffusion coefficients approached values reported for carbon diffusion in carbides.
