Chlumská, Šárka ; Černá Silovská, Hana (advisor) ; Jílek, Petr (referee)
The diploma thesis focuses on systems of territorial and spatial planning in the Czech Republic and Germany. The aim of the thesis is to identify the similarities and differences in the systems and to show them on particular spatial plans of two cities of these countries. The theoretical part of the thesis is focused on defining of basic terms such as territorial and spatial planning and sustainable development. It outlines the concept of territorial planning in the European Union. The practical part deals with territorial and spatial planning in the Czech Republic at the example of the city Hradec Králové and in Germany at the example of the city Regensburg. Within the practical part of the thesis the comparison of systems of territorial and spatial planning of both countries and the comparison of particular spatial plans of two cities is carried. The theoretical and practical parts are logically related. The thesis brings the information about functions of spatial planning in Bavaria to the Czech environment. It reveals the key differences in these systems, in both general and specific level. The thesis may show surprisingly high number of similar signs in the systems of both countries.
Potential of public logistics centres in rail transport in the Czech Republic
Svatoň, Ondřej ; Černá Silovská, Hana (advisor) ; Kolaříková, Jana (referee)
In times when capacities of roads are starting to run out, it is necessary to search for any alternatives with environmental protection in mind. One of the options is to move some of the road freight transport to railways. One of the possible ways to achieve it is by using Public logistics centres. This concept is already in use in Western Europe and the demand for building terminals of combined transport is growing in the Czech Republic as well. The goal of this thesis is to evaluate the potential of PLC and its influence on the regional development based on information from other countries. In the thesis, theoretical aspects of infrastructure investment and predicted effects of localization into targeted regions are assessed. Outcomes of this research are weaknesses and suggestions for potential implementation of this concept in the Czech Republic.
Mortar with alkali-activated matrix
Černá, Hana ; Hela, Rudolf (referee) ; Bodnárová, Lenka (advisor)
The thesis addresses the issue of alkali-activated materials and their manufacturing components. In the theoretical part the description of such materials is provided and the requirements for source materials are defined. The theoretical part further addresses the resistance of alkali-activated materials and their lifespan - namely sulphate resistance, chloride resistance, acid resistance, frost resistance, porosity, carbonation, resistance, abrasion resistance and heat resistance. The experimental part of the thesis focuses on compounding four different mixtures of alkali-activated materials. In the loosened stage, the weight was measured. In the hardened stage the weight was measured as well as the tensile strength when bending, the strength under pressure applied, heat resistance, water and defrosting chemicals resistance and formation of cracks.

Protection of rights of indigenous Australians in particular in relation to media and intellectual property rights
Černá, Hana ; Hofmannová, Mahulena (advisor) ; Faix, Martin (referee)
The diploma thesis concentrates on legal protection of indigenous peoples in Australia. The topic itself is too wide, therefore it was shortened to predominantly concentrate on analysis of two up-to-date topics. These were, firstly, legal protection of indigenous peoples in relation to media and then, secondly, legal protection of indigenous peoples in relation to intellectual property rights. The paper is divided into three main chapters. The first chapter's goal is to introduce some parts of Australian history that are connected with Aboriginals to Czech readers. The topics discussed are, for example, colonization of Australia, genocide as perceived by international community, policy of assimilation, era of Stolen Generations etc. This chapter highlights a necessity of always dealing with current issues in proper historical context and, as it is found in the second chapter, also with deeper understanding of differences of indigenous culture. The second chapter is an outcome of the author's study stay at University of Queensland where she conducted a research on two topics connected with legal protection of indigenous peoples that were being currently discussed. The first topic was legal protection of indigenous peoples in relation to media connected with a discussion about The Freedom of Speech Bill 2014....
Human in Urban Space, Urban Space in Human
Černá, Hana ; Švantner, Martin (advisor) ; Borecký, Felix (referee)
This Thesis will be focused on relationship of human and space, formed by moment of their encounter. The main aim of work is to express relation between human and space in existential dimension of their mutual formation. This process is continuous and it is embodied in hermeneutical spiral. Result of this Work is the attempt to erase subject-object therminology in the context of relationship of human and space by applying principle of historical consciousness. Concept of lived space is manifested on example of Prague city walk, in which there are human and space mutually formed as a continuously changing complex, not the separate units. Key words human, hermeneutic circle, objectivism, move, principle of historical consciousness, walk, space, subjectivism, memory, relationship
The influence of land cover and its change on distribution and species composition of raptors in the Czech Republic
Černá, Hana ; Chuman, Tomáš (advisor) ; Romportl, Dušan (referee)
The Influence of Land Cover and Its Change on Distribution and Species Composition of Raptors in the Czech Republic Abstract Bird species diversity and distribution in relation to a variety of factors have been the subject of numerous works. So far, none of these studies have dealt with an individual order of birds, and this is why I decided to undertake this type of research. The main theme of my work is the extent to which land cover and particularly its perpetual changes influence the local species of raptors. In the introductory part, I outline the character of the changes on the territory of the Czech Republic in the years 1970-2000 and describe their influence on the distribution and diversity of raptors. An analysis of historical and current data concerning the above mentioned period follows, the chief objective being to evaluate all the aspects of dependence of raptors on the past and present state of the landcover in the Czech Republic. The dependence of diversity of raptors on the diversity of land cover has been proved.
Physical-geographic aspects of bird diversity in the Czech Republic
Černá, Hana ; Chuman, Tomáš (advisor) ; Romportl, Dušan (referee)
Physical-geographic aspects of bird diversity in the Czech Republic Abstract This thesis deals with the concept of biodiversity. It describes the basic findings about biological diversity on Earth, the negative influences on its quality and steps taken for its protection. Factors determining biodiversity such as latitude, altitude, environment's character etc. are described and related to the diversity of birds of prey. I also briefly focus on selected physical - geographical aspects of the Czech Republic that influence biodiversity, especially that of the birds of prey. These aspects are related to climate conditions which are also closely connected with global climate changes. Then I proceed to describe the ecosystems which are the most important for the bird community, in particular the forest, mountain, wetland and agricultural land ecosystems. The final part focuses on birds of prey. My aim was to map their diversity on the territory of the Czech Republic in dependence on selected physical-geographical conditions - i. e. altitude and character of the environment. I also compare the diversity of birds of prey with regard to the presence of a protected territory or bird area. The results of my research are interpreted in the conclusion.
Apoptosis and its role in selected human diseases
Černá, Hana ; Kvasničková, Eva (advisor) ; Zemanová, Lucie (referee)
Charles University in Prague Faculty of Pharmacy in Hradec Králové Department of Biochemical Sciences Candidate: Hana âerná Supervisor: Prof. RNDr. Eva Kvasniãková, CSc. Title of diploma thesis: Apoptosis and its role in selected human diseases Apoptosis, which represents a specific form of programmed cell death, is an essential physiological process. It is very important for the organism's developement and for the maintenance of tissue homeostasis. It is a highly regulated process that is always triggered by a definite signal. This signal activates specific apoptotic pathways, a series of mechanisms that subsequently lead to cellular decline. The dysregulation of apoptosis is associated with a variety of pathological conditions such as cancer, some disorders of the immunty system or of the cardiovascular system, or neurological diseases. To the last mentioned belong neurodegenerative disorders that are characteristic of the decline of selective neuronal populations. Examples of these are Alzheimer's and Parkinson's disease. Although its pathogenesis is still not fully elucidated, many studies indicate that the loss of neurons could be tightly related to excessive apoptotic activity. In spite of some discrepancies apoptosis can therefore be expected to an important part of the pathogenesis of these...
