Between Sheol and Hades: The Shifts in understanding of the Nether World in the Hebrew Bible and in the Septuagint
Zeman, Ondřej ; Sláma, Petr (advisor) ; Čapek, Filip (referee)
The subject of this thesis is the development of the concept of the underworld and its function in Jewish notion, especially one essential developmental segment - the redesignation of its name from "Sheol" to "Hades" in Hellenistic Judaism. One of the goals of this thesis is to find out to what extent Hades is a suitable term for the translation of Sheol. Firstly, both terms are explained in their original context, Sheol as a realm in which the shadows of the dead reside in the Old Testament cosmology, and Hades as the underworld and god in a purely Greek environment. In addition, several terms related to both concepts are also explained, especially the characteristics of the inhabitants of both realms, their fate after death and the substance of their posthumous dwelling. Since the most important document of Hellenistic Judaism is the Septuagint, the main part of this thesis is dedicated to the analysis of its Greek translations of Sheol and terms related to it. Increased attention is paid to tracking the consistency of these translations and the Greek influences that manifest in them. In the final chapter Sheol and Hades are compared, the elements which they have in common and those which differ, and the results of the analysis of LXX translations are assessed.
Analysis of fluctuation of labourers
Zeman, Ondřej ; Maciak, Matúš (advisor) ; Komárek, Arnošt (referee)
The main goal of this thesis is to analyse the fluctuation of the employees in a well established Czech manufacturing company. Due to the GDPR regulations, the underlying company is kept anonymised in this thesis. The data were transformed into longitudinal data and the GEE methodology was used for the analysis of the fluctuation. In the first chapter, an introduction to the problem and a short description of the data is provided. The second chapter contains some theoretical description of the GEE methodology and the QIC information criterion. In the third chapter, multiple models for a binary and multinomial response are fitted to the data and their results are described in detail. This allows us to describe the influence of various factors to the fluctuation of the employees in the underlying company. 1
Proposal for RC Models Production
Zeman, Ondřej ; Rompotl, Jaroslav (referee) ; Videcká, Zdeňka (advisor)
The bachelor thesis is focused on the production design for conversion from a basic model to a radio-controlled model. After the introduction, the second part of this thesis is made of a theoretical analysis of concepts related to planning and analysis of production. The following chapter is devoted to the current state of production, prototypes, available production equipment, and brief market analysis. The fourth chapter is about the production design for 3 model variants, mainly focused on the rate of workspace usages, place requirements, number of employees, material consumption, and is ended with a calculation of production costs. In the last chapter is designed production process evaluated for two cases.
The effect of agonist and antagonist disets on submaximal bench press
Zeman, Ondřej ; Šťastný, Petr (advisor) ; Petr, Miroslav (referee)
1 Abstract Title: The effect of agonist and antagonist superset on submaximal performance during BP Objectives: The aim of this work is to determine the differences in effect of different types of sets and order of individual exercises on submaximal performance in BP, with resistence of 4RM and 4-minute rest interval. Methods: In this work, a method of experimental research combined with a method of analysis was used. Method of a randomized experimental research was applied during the achal research with non-changing conditions. Later, the collected data were analysed and evaluated using the MBD method of analysing. Results: The results of this work are significant changes in numbers of performed sets of BP during KON, ANT and AGO schemes, with AGO having a negative effect of -38% of performance when compared with KON scheme with 100% probability. ANT, on the other hand, showed a positive effect of +20% when compared to KON scheme with 95% probability. The results of this work suggest that using AGO is a good method to increase submaximal performance in BP. Keywords: agonist, antagonist, volume, hypertrophy, individualization, physical intervention
Incomplete Poisson samples
Zeman, Ondřej ; Dvořák, Jiří (advisor) ; Hlubinka, Daniel (referee)
The topic of my bachelor thesis is studying truncated Poisson sample which is a part of a sample from Poisson distribution, where zero observations are missing. The main goal is estimating the size of the original sample and the parameter λ of the Poisson distribution. In the first chapter I mainly focus on deriving three types of estimators of these parameters and I describe their basic properties. Second chapter contains simulations where the estimators from the first chapter are compared based on the estimates of relative bias and relative mean square error. Eventually in the third chapter I focus on the asymptotic properties of derived estimators with emphasis on consistency of estimators. 1
Analýza výživy a ekonomických ukazatelů produkce mléka v daném zemědělském podniku
ZEMAN, Ondřej
Under operational conditions the concept of nutrition and efficiency of milk cows (the breed: Holstein Friesian cattle) was assessed in the chosen agricultural enterprise during the years 2015 and 2016, as well as the production of feed for the milk cows and the economical aspect of milk production during the period of decreasing prices of its purchase. The thesis embodies the assessment of the negative impact of a low rainfall total in the locality of monitored enterprise specialising in the production of bulky feed. Because of this fact the feed amount of productive milk cows were changed in 2016. An interannual decrease of milk yield about 1,92 l per 1 peace of kettle and 1 day was recorded on the grounds of the change of feed doses. The decrease in efficiency and consequently the decrease in delivery of market milk to trade in 2016, together with low prices of purchase of milk, had direct influence on a low economical profits in the area of milk production and milk-cows breeding of the monitored enterprise.
The creation of videotutorials for the University of Economics, Prague
Zeman, Ondřej ; Šedivá, Zuzana (advisor) ; Kupec, Michael (referee)
The purpose of this bachelor thesis is to acquaint readers with new possibilities of teaching by using information technology and its application, when making learning material. The main outputs of this thesis are video tutorials, which serve as an education support for the course 4IT110 Use MS Excel in business practice taught in the University of Economics, Prague. However, it may be useful to other students of different courses. The process of making tutorials is described from the very beginning by specifying methodology, creating model exercises, subsequent testing of tutorials by students and optimisation of videos according to their suggestions and comments.
