Patellofemoral pain syndrome and its affection by patellar taping

Diploma thesis "Patellofemoral pain syndrome and its affection by patellar taping" consists of two parts. The first general part summarises all present knowledge in the field of classification, diagnostics and therapy of this syndrome. The experimental part investigates a partial area of conservative therapy and a patellar taping technique according to McConnell. With the use of EMG records of a group of patients with patellofemoral pain syndrome it assesses the immediate effect of patellar taping on the pain intesity and timing of m. vastus medialis obliquus to m. vastus lateralis throughout three different movements. The influence of physiotherapy on the function of the hand following an overload and traumatic conditions

This Bachelor theses deals with the influence of physiotherapy on functioning of hand after being overworked and after being injured in climbing sport. The anatomy and ontogenetic development of motioning, mobility of hand is described here. For comparison there are four other studies on the same topic. The biomechanics of burdening fingers of hand is also mentioned here. Furthermore classification of injuries and damages of hand are dealt with as well as description of the causes of their inceptions and their diagnostics and therapy aimed at the rehabilitation methods in these cases used. Physiotherapy of soft tissue disorders due to overload

The thesis " Physiotherapy of soft hand weavings disorders resulting from postneuritic over freight" is bent on weightiest consequence of over freight of hand flexor sinews, which is rupture and on one of weightiest consequences of accident states of sinews, which is transcision. Rupture and transcision of hand flexor sinews is cured in a similar surgical way, by suture and coincident is as well the subsequent alteration postoperative care. The aim of my diploma work that ties on my baccalaureate work, is rounded up from the expert literature, especially the foreign one, researching the information of possibilities and meaning of rehabilitative care in those specific problems and these information then virtually compare with the choice study sample inmates. I hereto directed everything, so as I could in the end answers the questions: what meaning has rehabilitation and whether there is any universal method that could be applied in the appropriate manner. In its experimental parts the diploma work succeeded to prove the evidence, that the rehabilitation holds irreplaceable space in therapy of hand flexor sinews after effected sutures. Early rehabilitation after total hip replacement - the difference in patients operated from anterior and anterolateral approach.

Total hip replacement is one of the most common surgeries in orthopedics. Complete hip replacement can be addressed with several different types of surgical approaches. In this work we deal mainly with the anterior and anterolateral approach. The theoretical part of this work summarizes the basic knowledge about the anatomy, kinesiology of the hip joint and the prearthrotic causes leading to complete hip replacement. Furthermore, the types of surgical approaches, types of total endoprostheses are mentioned and the knowledge about soft tissue healing and early postoperative rehabilitation is summarized. The aim of this work is to determine whether rehabilitation will be faster in the first days after surgery in patients operated by the anterior approach, depending on the gentle approach and respect for anatomical structures, compared to the anterolateral approach. We present a group of 24 patients, 12 of whom underwent anterior approach and 12 anterolateral approach. In the practical part we evaluate and compare early postoperative rehabilitation in both approaches. The study evaluates a cohort of patients, who underwent surgery in Department of Orthopaedics, First Faculty of Medicine, Charles University in Prague at Motol University Hospital from 2010 to 2015. The results and clinical implications of the aforementioned retrospective study were published in 2018. The observers evaluated several defined angles on preoperative and postoperative radiographs of the forefoot. The angles were thoroughly selected with regard to the exact representation of first metatarsophalangeal joint articular surface position in relation to the axes of first metatarsal and the whole forefoot. Hemarthrosis in hemophilia: new treatment methods and the effect of hemarthroses repetition on joints sensitivity

Intraarticular bleeding is a complication, that concerns almost every person with haemophilia. The number and heaviness of them depends on the grade of illness and on presence of inhibitor. Presence of blood inside joint cavity leads to destruction of joint cartilage and haemophilic artropathy occures. Consequent events are as follows: bleeding - synovial irritation - re-bleeding - chronic haemophilic synovitis - haemophilic artropathy. There are four main targets of this work: 1. to summarize the possibilities of treatment of chronic haemophilic artropathy with radionuclides and to rise indication criteria for that kind of treatment, 2. to evaluace retrospectively long term efficacy od radiation synovectomy with corelation to other methods of treatment, 3. to find out, if platelet-rich-plasma therapy is effective in chronic haemophilic artropathy and 4. to find out, what is the effect of repeated intraarticular bleedings on joints sensitivity. 4 hypothesis are pronounced and methodology of their confirmation or disprove is described. Calf muscle abreviation. The influence of foot and ankle disorders and the possibility of treatment with statical stretching.

The calf muscle (m. gastrocnemius) is a postural muscle with a tendency to shorten what is often present in patients with foot pain. The theoretical part summarizes the basic knowledge of anatomy, biomechanics of calf muscle and manifestations of its shortening in the periphery. There are also described the possibilities of conservative solution by static stretching and possible operative solution. The aim of this work is to find out whether the pain can be reduced or eliminated by a conservative method by static stretching in order to avoid the need for an operative solution to this problem. We present a set of 18 patients sent for rehabilitation with a focus on calf stretching. In a practical part we show 3 cases for which an individual exercise plan was introduced focusing on calf stretching for 6 months. Within 6 months, these 3 patients were goniometrically examined three times by a 3-month interval to measure the ankle range of motion (ROM). The results showed that 2 patients objectively increased ROM and subjectively got rid of pain. In 1 patient, despite the objective increase in ROM, the subjective sensation of pain still persisted. Thus, it can be shown that by static stretching we can increase the ROM and consequently affect the pain.

The influence of sports load on the shoulder joint in discus and javeling throwers and shot-putters

Shoulder joint pain is a common phenomenon faced by javelin throwers, shot putters and discus throwers. Basic anatomical findings related to the glenohumeral joint are summarized in this work, followed by a description of the kinesiology of movement in the glenohumeral joint. Performed movement analysis of each sport makes the imagination of movements carried out during the throw easy. The chapter on the differential diagnostics of shoulder joint pain summarizes both transferred, muscle and joint pain.
