Bryological Oriented Excursion in the Dolský mlýn Area
Davídková, Markéta ; Novotný, Petr (advisor) ; Skýbová, Jana (referee)
The aim of this thesis was to carry out an analysis of primary school textbooks considering bryophytes and bracken, as well as to plan a biological excursion in the area of Dolský Mlýn which would include mapping the terrain. The sixth chapter contains the analysis of nine textbooks from different publishing houses. I have compared them in terms of the number of pages dedicated to bryophytes and bracken and in terms of the number of stated bryophytes and bracken representatives. I have also compared whether the textbooks are provided by workbooks, methodological guides and other material, which could variegate biology and natural history teaching. The seventh chapter characterises the location. Mapping of the terrain for the planned excursion took place in September 2012. I chose fourteen suitable sites which are were easily accessible. The eight chapter includes methodical instructions of the excursion for teachers, worklists and the key to determining types of bryophytes. The practical verification of my thesis took place in April 2013 during an excursion of seventh grade pupils from the school ZŠ a MŠ Děčín IV. Laboratory training, which represents an integral part of the excursion took place in March due to unfavorable chmate conditions. Pupils determined mosses of genus Merike according to their...
School Field Lectures of the Natural Science in the Vicinity of Bílina Town (Bořeň hill, Chateau Park and Bezovka Valley, Spa Park)
Machová, Jitka ; Teodoridis, Vasilis (advisor) ; Skýbová, Jana (referee)
1 ABSTRACT: The master thesis presents characteristics of the three localities around the Bílina town, i.e. Bořeň Hill, Bílina Castle park with Bezovka Walley and Bílina Spa garden, as an objects of field education focusing on general natural science, biology and geology. It includes integrated didactic materials that are suitable for realization of the field excursions during every season. The excursions are designed to be applicable for pupils of second grade of elementary school, eight-years gymnasium, eventually for free time activities of child leaded by natural history oriented organizations. The materials can be also used as the base of the pedagogical work within the "Environmental Training, Education and Culture" system. The suggested excursion guides include methodological description, worksheets, didactic games and other supporting materials. As a case study the excursion to Bílina Spa garden has been evaluated by three pupils' groups in the age interval from 8 to 17 years. The obtained results prove that field education positively influence a learning process. KEYWORDS: Didactic material, Field education, Excursion, Botany, Geology, Zoology, Bílina
A Floristic Study of Petřín
Macháčková, Jana ; Dostál, Petr (advisor) ; Skýbová, Jana (referee)
The first part of the thesis describes culture-historical and natural features of the gardens at Petřín. The reader learns about the protected area in the upper part of the gardens and crucial influences of human activity in this area in the past and present. The second part deals with the results of a dendrological survey carried out in the Kinský Garden and Nebozízek and floristic research of the nature monument Petřínská skalka in the period between spring 2004 and autumn 2005. The results of the mapping have been recorded in table files that relate to attached documentary maps. In the discussion, I compare the findings of the thesis to the results of inventoried materials and suggest possible causes of the differences obtaining between the two lists. In the didactic part, I suggest a way of using this area for educational purposes. It contains two tracks - one focused on timber species and the second on complex cognition of nature. Worksheets were for both the tracks. The text also includes documentary photographs of some monitored timber species and plants. Powered by TCPDF (www.tcpdf.org)
Testing of the sensitivity of bacteria on selected substances in school environment
Švehlová, Vendula ; Pavlasová, Lenka (advisor) ; Skýbová, Jana (referee)
The aim of this bachelor thesis lies in describing and executing of methods which are determining the resistance of various types of bacteria to antibiotics and selected common household disinfectants and also selected products for oral hygiene. Due to the structure of these methods they can be used f.e. in practical classes in grammar or high schools. Antibiotic discs and other supplies are used when examining resistence of bacteria towards antibiotics which are affordable for aforementioned schools. We can see the efficiency of various antibiotics and disinfectants and we can easily decide which ones are worth of purchase and which ones are not very functional alltogether. Last items tested are samples of mouthwashes and toothpastes. The mechanisms behind the efficiency of all these substances and the sensitivity of bacteries will be described either in practical and theoretical part of this thesis. Key words: Antimicrobials substances, resistance, inhibition, agar soil, bacteria
Plant Movement

Title: The proposal of the Geological Trails in the Area of the Rychleby Mts. Abstract: This thesis is devoted to draft for new nature trails in the area of the Rychleby Mts. with a specific focus on geology. The proposed trails are preceded by detailed characteristics of geomorphology, geology and stratigraphy of the studied area. The trails are located in two areas, i. e. the northern part of the Rychleby Mts. (Račí údolí - Zálesí - Javorník) and Žulová highlands (Around Žulová pluton). The first mentioned trail is designed in two levels of difficulty for elementary and secondary schools. The trail are supplemented by specific guidebooks, worksheets and the "Didactic recommendation for teachers", which included general didactic recommendations, next detailed information about the trails and suggestions for other additional activities. The trails had been verified in practice on students, amateurs and experts. Anthe effectiveness of the trails was evaluated through surveys with participants. It has been proved that the trails are suitable complement of education process mainly for natural science and the trails are also useful for non-educational leisure activities for visitors of these areas. Key words: nature trail, the Rychleby Mts., excursion, pedagogical uses
Plants of the tropical and subtropical regions
Nová, Vladimíra ; Skýbová, Jana (advisor) ; Vítová, Eva (referee)
In my bachelor thesis I directed on individual plants of tropics and subtropics and I pointed to their use in today's world. I divided the work into some parts, which point to general charakteristics of tropical and subtropical climate belt and I desribe individual plants formations of the tropics and subtropics. In the next part are individual plants, where I pointed to their botanical charakteristics, history and properties using and I added everything with their pictures.
