Title: Phenomenology of mediality in Husserl and Fink - Fink's implicit criticism on Husserl's transcendental Phenomenology in "Presentification and Image" and "VI. Cartesian Meditation" Summary: Our study is devoted to the task of showing, on the basis of Fink's early works, that Fink's account of transcendental phenomenology could be considered not as a simple elaboration of Husserlian projects, but as its prolongation which presupposes Fink's internal criticisms on Husserl's central conceptions. Fink's criticism could be summarized in the following two points: a.) Husserl's account of the transcendental constitution and theory of evidence is operated by a naïve theoretical assumption of the priority of certain modes of the experiencing (for example, perception) to other modes (for example, consciousness of image, phantasy). According to the early Fink, both modes of experiencing are mediated into each other. b.) Husserl's method of transcendental phenomenological reduction lacks the ontological reflection on the status of the transcendental subjectivity, because Husserl tends to ignore the very question of Fink's VI. Indirect Approach of Phenomenological Interpretation. Interpretation of Historical Philosophy in the Phenomenology

This work questions the concept of method of phenomenological Interpretation. In the present work we consider phenomenological interpretation as an essential part of phenomenology, and more precise as a detour approach that illuminates passive-governing domain which itself is a blind spot that hasn't been grasped by a reflective thinking. According to such formulation of a problem, here we study conditions of the possibility of a realization of phenomenological approach to philosophical texts treatment. Method of phenomenological interpretation is studied by means of explanation of the role, aiming and results of interpretations made by M. Heidegger, E. Husserl and E. Fink. Masterthesis Eine phänomenologische Betrachtung der Farbe A phenomenological view of colour Pingbo Zhu Every colour theory begs a space theory. A main aim of the space theory is to catch the core of knowledge: through knowing something we can know the world outside of us. This thesis is to illustrate a different way of defining colour by introducing a phenomenological way of talking about space. This question will thus be answered: why is colour a quality of an object and at the same time a content of sensation of subject? Thus a solution probably is that colour is a phenomenological bridge of objects and subjects. Some philosophers, who hold a standpoint of physicalism may argue that all mental states and activities can be reduced thoroughly to physical states and activities. Another claim would be that all sensations are the results of the activities of brain nerves. But in the following paragraphs I will analyse why a colour theory with the standpoint of physicalism cannot explain away colour. A phenomenological view of colour will therefore emphasize the necessity of the independence of mental activities, in other words, sensations and perceptions, which give rise to a better explanation of colour.

Thoughts on Intuition: Flowing as Starting Point of Philosophy

Philosophy always had the stigma to be distance from life. In this thesis, "Thoughts on Intuition: Flowing as starting point of philosophy", the attempt will be performed to talk about what seems to be very vague in the first consideration but will be transformed after an investigation into en 'event' and methodological necessity, if the philosophy should be dressed in the wrinkled robe of life: the intuition. It leads to the inner core of being as a method of cognition, which could not be reached by terms in an analysis mat-ter. Terms are not representing being in its full manner and themselves are even less living than they should be to handle with life. Terms are fixed constructs, in which hu-mans translate the data of the senses and which will be transformed into something that has some utility for human means. We emphasis in this thesis to put philosophy back at the side of life and to get insights which has ever been made by art: intuitive cognitions. For sure there will be a critical opposition to the results, but by showing which perfor-mance and capacity intuition has, we'll try to refuse these voices. Intercultural dialogues and the creativity of knowledge - A study on Daya Krishna

This work discusses the contribution of the philosopher Daya Krishna (1924-2007) to the realm of intercultural dialogues. A leading figure of academic Indian philosophy, Daya Krishna left an immense and eclectic, yet mainly unexplored, corpus. Firstly, I offer one approach to his diverse philosophy by focusing on his philosophical project as a whole. His project attempts to unveil the presuppositions of thinking, which can only be effectuated in dialoguing across philosophical traditions founded on different presuppositions. Applying his project to the realm of intercultural dialogues, I begin by questioning the limits encountered by recent intercultural theories aiming at deconstructing Eurocentrism and establishing a global philosophical dialogue while responding to their postmodern European heritages. As a counterpoint, I introduce the challenges of Anglophone Indian philosophers in India, facing an uprooting from their own traditions. They feel this uprooting as cultural subjection, deprived of their own philosophical past. Unreality and Consciousness of Image: the Emergence of a New Phenomenological Method in Eugen Fink's Dissertation

This master thesis has as main objective the exposure of the phenomenological method Eugen Fink introduces in his dissertation "Vergegenwartigung und Bild" from 1929, which will form the basis of the writings through which the young Fink was first known in the years of assistance to Husserl, namely, the VI. Cartesianische Meditation and the renowned article in the Kantstudien, "Die phanomenologische Philosophie Edmund Husserls in der gegenwartigen Kritik". A careful analysis shows that these works have had an important role in further development of phenomenology - what is particularly observed in the case of French phenomenology - but even a notable influence on Husserl's later work, as we can see in the texts comprised by the later text known as The Crisis of European Sciences and Transcendental Phenomenology. Both texts, however, are constituted on the basis Fink had already exposed in that dissertation, with which he received his doctor degree under the direction of Husserl and presupposes it insofar as this text presents for the first time the method of phenomenological inquiry undertaken by Fink and at the same time, the essential point of his divergence from Husserl's method for the phenomenology. What Means Ontography? The Modelling and Experience of Forms of Thinking and Reality Using the Example of the Philosophy of Heinrich Rombach

The first chapter develops, on the basis of former characterizations of the concept 'ontography' within the history of philosophy, an autonomous definition of ontography. The second chapter applies this concept - ontography - to various theories that are possibly compatible with this definition. The proffered definition will prove itself insufficient, however, and it will be subsequently extended to a meta-ontology in the third chapter by means of theories about models, schemata and embodiment. The extended definition sets up a possible implementation in the philosophy of Heinrich Rombach. Accordingly, the fourth chapter presents an analysis and interpretation of the philosophy of Rombach in the framework of the extended definition of ontography. The fifth and final chapter critically examines once again the methodology and the consequences of this thesis, as well as examines determinations of the concept of 'ontography', mainly in relation to ontology. Paul Yorck von Wartenburg's conception of Geschichtlichkeit

Paul Yorck von Wartenburgs Auffassung von Geschichtlichkeit Abstract The aim of this research is to examine the conception of historicity [Geschichtlichkeit] of the count Paul Yorck von Wartenburg - who is perhaps better known for his friendship with Wilhelm Dilthey. The recuperation and investigation of Yorck's arguments takes place in the context of his rejection of metaphysical and positivist models as well as from his constant intellectual exchange with Dilthey. The focus of the present analysis is Yorck's concept of person, strongly influenced by Christian doctrine, as well as his psychology of history: here we will identify how the author understands historical reality and the dependency between attitudes of consciousness [Bewusstseinsstellungen] and the context of life. Adjacent concepts ofYorck's conception of historicity, such as syndesmos (historical connection between people), "aliveness" or life [Lebendigkeit], totality [Totalität] and the human being in its entirety [Ganzer Mensch], are also examined in order to better understand Yorck's notion of historicity and its divergences to Dilthey's approach to the humanities. "The wealth of nothingness" - On the (im)possibility of metaphysics in Adorno and Beckett

English abstract: "The wealth of nothingness - On the (im)possibility of metaphysics in Adorno and Beckett": The subject of this paper is Theodor W. Adorno's reception of Samuel Beckett and its embedding in his philosophy. Based on an interpretation of Adorno's treatment of the problem of temporality, it is shown that for Adorno Beckett's work both marks the end of time in a bad infinity and at the same time prepares the turn into a fulfilled time. As the opening of a quasi- utopian temporality, it is argued that the engagement with Beckett represents for Adorno as much as the rescue of the possibility of metaphysics and critical theory through its impossibility, moving in the semantics of gift, promise, and gratitude. "The search for female identity". A philosophical and literary study on the representation of female self-identification using the example of occidental and post-soviet literature

This work has been given the title "The Search for Female Identity" because its core question is: what constitutes female self-identification? This search is carried out by searching literary traces, since self-identification can be deconstructed by analyzing the texts. Texts by an Austrian and a Soviet-Russian writer were chosen as the basis for this deconstruction. In a comparison of their two writings, the difference between the two socio-political systems in terms of their possible influence on self-identification could also be crystallized. The theories used (mainly poststructuralist) together with the interpretations help to extract the pre-discursive nature of the texts and to decipher the image of femininity. The analysis carried out showed that in both societies this picture is full of myths, however, they were developed and implemented differently. In the course of this development the individualistic Western culture encounters the limits of its individuality, which also affects women and influences their unity in themselves. Meanwhile, the post-Soviet society striving for all-round collectivism fails to control the construction of identity, since it does not offer enough playground for self-determination and overwhelms especially women with the imposed standards.
