Word and the Music in the Contemporary Czech Melodrama - the Analytical Basis for the Music Education

Melodrama represents a unique form that combines musical and textual component in a very distinct manner. The submitted doctoral dissertation offers a complex analysis of the contemporary Czech melodrama and places it into a European and indispensable local context. The author emphasizes typical features of this genre and describes the possibilities of its further development by means of complex analysis of melodrama as a work of art together with the evaluation of its status in the contemporary musical culture. Complex analysis of the work of art is absolutely necessary in order to understand the addressed problematics. It is a starting point that offers a further insight into the main characteristics of the form, not only in an artistic sense but also in other contexts. It provides a space for analysis pursued in a pedagogical context, and it offers a base for the pedagogical interpretation of the artwork that is determinative for the analytical perspective of the submitted dissertation. Simona Suchanová: Dramatization of Czech folk song on secondary schools (thesis) ABSTRACT This diploma thesis deals with the possibilities of dramatization of folk songs represented in textbooks for music education in the 2nd grade of elementary school. The text clarifies the phenomenon of folk song, defines the concept of dramatization as a "dramatization of the curriculum", mentions the psychological characteristics of the student in the 2nd grade of elementary school and the specifics of pedagogical work related to it. The thesis expands the methodological tasks in textbooks represented by new dramatic elements, presents new proposals for methodological tasks, conceiving dramatization as another of the creative ways of working with folk songs. In this way, it would like to contribute to the improvement and attractiveness of music education in elementary school. The theoretical part examines the Lachian Dances through the didactic analysis and describes the speech of composer and its connection with folk art. The practical part of the diploma thesis is focused on the didactic interpretation of the Lachian Dances. The pupils in the age of middle childhood, specifically 3rd and 4th graders at the Vrchlického primary school in Liberec, were selected as a sample. The results of the thesis are teaching materials that serves as a source of inspiration for students of primary education and current teachers of music education. Personal and social development of pupil in music education at primary school

The diploma thesis focuses on the topic of personal and social development of pupils in the music education process at the 1st level of basic education. It brings forward selected music therapy techniques, which represent one of the means of personal and social education. The theoretical part of the thesis deals with the concept of personal and social education with a brief history of the issue. It represents the position of personal and social education in curricular documents. The practical part of the work presents regular teaching of music lessons at the Dolní Břežany Elementary school. The research part also includes activities with emotional cards. The diploma thesis offers a possible connection of communication cards with listening to selected songs, in order to briefly diagnose the research sample. The chosen music therapy techniques are applied to the pupils of the 1st grade, which represents a significant milestone in the transition from kindergarten to primary school. Title of thesis: Use of musical fairy tale in the musical development of a preschool child The bachelor's thesis focuses on the phenomenon of musical fairy tales and possibilities of its application in the musically creative process. It represents a musical fairy tale as a mean to develop musical, physical, singing, instrumental and art creative activities. The work focuses on preschool children. It briefly characterizes their development in terms of the development of musical abilities. It presents a fairy tale as a way to creative activities. The theoretical part focuses on the musical fairy tale, its functions, comparison with folk tales and historical excursion. Moreover, it explains the developmental psychology of a child aged 5-6 years and the specifics for a given age, especially in terms of musical development. It also points to the educational aspect of the fairy tale and competence, which can be developed in the child through this musically dramatic genre. The practical part reveals the project of a musical fairy tale, which was carried out in the Kindergarten Telč. The goal of the work is to demonstrate variety of activities and through the music areas to fulfill goals of all five educational areas of the Framework Education Programme for Preschool Education (FEP PE). The use of children's musical in the process of teaching music

This diploma thesis introduces children's musical as a didactic tool at primary schools. This work maps the influence of creative playwright on the development of musical abilities, skills and creativities. The theoretical part of this diploma thesis defines the term "musical". It briefly describes the origin of the musical as a genre. The practical part brings possibilities of using a musical as a means of an educational process. It provides particular demonstrative situations which lead to development of the crucial competences of the students. The author of the musical is the author of this diploma thesis. She herself translates the music recording, scenario, and methodical material. The method, that has been used for the field research, is a systemic observation which is divided into ten lessons in the form of a project-based learning. This thesis deals with an issue, whether the musical enables an active engagement of the pupils in the musical educational process. The hypotheses, which have been set, are verified by the means of collective reflection from which follows students' higher motivation for musical activity. The realization of the musical positively develops students' attitudes towards music and enables them to react to current trends in the field of musical education. KEYWORDS...
