2-stroke Engine for Small Mechanization
Böhm, Milan ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Rauscher, Jaroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis includes progress constructional design of 2 - stroke engine for small mechanization, using modern tools of computer aided design. In the first part is mentioned short summary contemporary types small mechanization with 2 - stroke engines. Follows part devoted conceptual design with calculation of the main dimensions of engine cylinder. After assesment strength load of cranked mechanism, is effected stress analysis of connection rod, whose design and modeling is part of work, how by the help of analytical figures from appropriate literature so by final element method. Last part of those work is estimation results with presentation parameters, which affect power of 2 - stroke engines for small mechanization.
Concept of an In-line Spark-ignition Engine
Kočvara, Antonín ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis deals with comparison of straight four-cylinder petrol engine with a displacement of 1,5 litres and its three-cylinder alternative, which is based on a four-cylinder. The thesis starts with a research, where are examples of some currently manufactured engines. The research is followed by design of both engines, where the design of the crank mechanisms is made more in detail. After that, both crank mechanisms are subjected to dynamic analysis using FEM and MBS methods. The thesis ends with comparison of both engines in terms of crankshaft load, mass and dimensions.
Modifying of a passenger car door hinge
Čermáková, Klára ; Kozman, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis introduces issues of passenger car side-door hinges. Practical part of this thesis deals with modifying the current low-cost side-door hinge for Edscha Automotive Kamenice s.r.o. First, material was chosen to decrease weight while maintaining the required mechanical properties. Then follows the detail design of the hinge model, which was created in the software program Catia. Heat and surface treatments are described. Both treatments ensures the hinge's final features. To verify the strength of the hinge, tensile and sag test was simulated in Ansys. Subsequently, record from the consultation of the hinge's manufacturability in series and the hinge’s cutting plans are provided. At the end of the thesis, the assembling procedure is suggested. Final part of the thesis compares the developed low-cost hinge against two similar side door hinges.
Mechanism of a one-cylinder spark ignition engine with elongated expansion
Tokař, Stanislav ; Novotný, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis concentrates on the design of crank-type mechanism of engine with elongated expansion. The main attention is paid to examination of the progress of kinematic quantities and inertial forces in mechanism. Further on in the thesis, the analysis of piston-rod stress is carried out and is compared to the piston-rod of standard engine. In the last part of the thesis, there is an evaluation of advantages and disadvantages of the proposed mechanism solution.
Virtual Prototypes of Drivelines
Janoušek, Michal ; Dundálek, Radim (referee) ; Slimařík,, Dušan (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The thesis deals with computational modelling of heavy duty off-road vehicle driveline components. The thesis is divided to two main parts. The first part deals about modal analysis of selected driveline components. MBS computational study was performed based on modal analysis results. The second part of thesis deals with experimental verification of computational model. Pass-by noise and vibration measurement was performed. Measured signals were processed in frequency domain to find noise and vibration sources.
Aircraft engine
Kalugin, Ivan ; Ramík, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This thesis is focused to design piston rods for aircraft petrol six-cylinder engine with 102 kW output power and project their form. Other part deals with analysis of balancing of arranging and fort control one of piston rod.
Automobile clutches
Kundýsek, Michal ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (advisor)
This bachelor thesis provides an overview of the various types of clutch and starting clutch technologies, before offering a detailed analysis of the friction clutch system. It addresses the relative merits of this particular type of clutch and concludes with a discussion of its contemporary automotive applications.
Powertrain of three-cylinder gasoline radial engine
Košař, Miroslav ; Kaplan, Zdeněk (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
The purpose of this thesis is the design of a radial spark-ignition engine in two layout variations, the stress analysis of selected components using the finite element method, the eventual optimization of selected components and the determination of safety on their most strained locations.
Range extender of an electric vehicle
Jelínek, David ; Píštěk, Václav (referee) ; Drápal, Lubomír (advisor)
This thesis describes the design of a four-stroke engine with two cylinders, using as a range extender. The first chapter briefly introduces the company Škoda Auto a.s., for which the range extender was designed. Also, there is a list of the available electric and hybrid vehicles manufactured by this company. The next chapter deals with the division of hybrid vehicles, as an intermediate step for the use of electric vehicles, the reason for their use and the definition of advantages and disadvantages of hybrid vehicles. Also, the range extender technology is described here. The third chapter contains a description of the conceptual design of the range extender and describes the design and balancing of the crankshaft in more detail. The last chapter describes the calculation of the crankshaft dynamics and the individual parts load. The resulting crankshaft safety is determined by comparing the calculated values with a series-produced 1.0 MPI evo engine, which is the base of the described range extender.
Passive and active safety features in passenger cars
Jahoda, Patrik ; Kučera, Pavel (referee) ; Píštěk, Václav (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with safety elements of all kinds in personal vehicles and their general introduction. This elements are divided and broadened and roughly described. My work contains short summary of history of safety elements. Conclusion contains evaluation of individual elements. Video with crash test is inserted in this graduate work.
