Epidemiological characteristic of viral hepatitis A in the Czech Republic
Polák, Jan ; Kynčl, Jan (advisor)
The aim of theses is to describe epidemiological characteristics of viral hepatitis A (VHA) in Czech Republic. The identification of specifics related to an increase of VHA and the importance of prevention and spread of this disease is examined The focal point of increased incidence of VHA are specific high risks groups mainly drug users. The general decrease in VHA infections among populations at large results in an increasing number of people having no antibody against VHA. The identified groups then become significant sources of pools of new infections affecting the rest of healthy population having no immunity against VHA virus. The previous epidemics of VHA during the second half of 20th century show the importance of state legislations or local rules governing public hygiene. These include regular controls of food producers, retailers and sources of drinking water. These measures by state and local health inspectors are essential to prevent large scale outbreaks of VHA epidemics. The study puts heightened emphases on health precautions while traveling in countries with a high prevalence of VHA. The preventative measures against VHA virus are important because the specific treatment to cure an illness does not exist and susceptibility to become infected with a virus is high. The personal hygiene such...
The analysis of marketing communications of the Prague Spring International Music Festival 2009
Kyncl, Jan ; Čeňková, Jana (referee) ; Dolanská, Nora (advisor)
Bachelor thesis "The analysis of marketing communications of The Prague Spring International Music Festival 2009" deals with the method how basic marketing principles are applied in the field of arts. The major goal of this study is: 1. to make a list of the main features marketing of an art organization should include, 2. to name the reasons why marketing policy should be adopted by such organization's management, 3. to indicate conditions needed for success in arts marketing. The theoretical part is based upon the relevant art marketing publications available, and on the major marketing literature which creates a framework for modern marketing theory. The second part deals with the marketing campaign of the The Prague Spring International Music Festival 2009 which is widely considered to be the most significant cultural event within the Czech republic and Central Europe as well. The analysis consists of detailed description of the marketing planning proces, characterization of the campaign's communication mix, and the evaluation of it's effectiveness. There's also a short resumé at the end of the text which provides a brief review of festival camping. Complex overview of all the information gained by writing the diploma thesis and studying the subject is also included.
Influenza and problems of pandemic planning
Krajčiová, Lenka ; Kynčl, Jan (advisor)
Influenza is the most common viral diseases. Every year takes place in epidemics that affect Czech Republic in winter. The cause of influenza viruses from the group Ortomyxovirů in which there are three types designated as A, B and C. As a result of an influenza pandemic that struck humanity in 1918 , the disease until the discovery of AIDS has become the most researched viral diseases . sought the creation of an international network of laboratories and offices to monitor changes in the virus and its distribution in the population in order to predict epidemics and pandemics and prepare for them. In collaboration involved scientists, practitioners, virology , epidemiology , pharmaceutical companies , veterinarians and leading healthcare professionals . Despite all the efforts and lessons learned are still many aspects of this unexplained illness or are only partially elucidated . Authorities agree that the next pandemic will come probably in the next decade . it is therefore need to take all measures that would mitigate its consequences to 1918 tragedy does not happen again . The greatest threat to the emergence of pandemic there is a strain of avian influenza virus H5N1. In 2006 he received a approved Pandemic Plan Czech Republic, which is based on current recommendations of WHO and the European Union for...
The History and Significance of the Trio Format of Saxophone, Double Bass, and Drums in the Context of Jazz Music
Kyncl, Jan ; KOP, František (advisor) ; DORŮŽKA, David (referee)
The main goal of this thesis is to describe the history and significance of one of less usual formats that has appeared within a tradition of jazz music - the format of saxophone, double bass and drums. In addition to the historic overview of this format, his main protagonists will be listed as well as their body of work. The other goal of this thesis is to establish the influence of this format on the development of jazz music.
The Stirling Thermodynamic Cycle
Macháček, Jan ; Sokanský, Karel (referee) ; Kyncl, Jan (referee) ; Gregor, Jan (advisor)
My doctoral thesis deals with study and analyse of Stirling thermodynamical cycle. Cycle that is composed of two isochoras and two isotherms. I describe functional principle of Stirling engine and all its parts, constructional variations of pistons system and possible engine working modes. Next chapter contains analyse of engine constructional parameters. Measuring of torque and load characteristics, p - V schemes and output work for various engine inputs is part of this analyse. There is composed mathematical engine characterization by means of Schmidt theory in chapter five. Mathematical characterization is consequently applied to engine model. Theoretical analysis and practical measurement were base for concepts, realization and verification of constructional correction. One part of my thesis is attended to design of new lamella for regenerative exchanger. For optimal lamella constructional proportions were used computational algorithm and simulations. There is concept of cogeneration unit with Stirling engine and its benefits check in last chapter. General theoretical and practical analyse of workable Stirling engine is result of my thesis. Analyse in this extent was not nowhere publishing yet. Design of regenerative exchanger lamella is then practical input of my thesis.
Potential output. Econometric application for Czech Republic.
Kyncl, Jan ; Pánková, Václava (advisor) ; Bašta, Milan (referee)
I summarize different methods of potential output and output gap estimation including advantages and disadvantages in this thesis. I also applied two published models on real data for Czech Republic. Concerned models are Hodrick-Prescott filter and so called Production Approach. Both approaches are simultaneously used by ČNB. This thesis offers comparison between HP filter and production approach and comparison of Czech, Austrian and common EU-15 potential output and output gap. Potential output of Austria and EU-15 was obtained from OECD database. Comparison result refers to very similar progress of estimate obtained by univariate and multivariate method. It also shows different trend behavior of domestic economy against more developed EU countries, which is starting to be similar at the end of observed period.
XML error indication improvement possibilities
Kyncl, Jan ; Kosek, Jiří (advisor) ; Nálevka, Petr (referee)
The main point of this thesis is the option to improve the indication of an error in XML documents for SAX. The thesis could be divided into three parts. The first part describes parsers from the theoretic point of view. The second part is about SAX and current forms of reporting the occurrences of errors in XML documents. The last part is about my program JKER. This program is able to indicate the occurrence of an error using XPath expression.
