Vertex and Pixel Shaders for 3D Visualization of grass
Dokoupil, Martin ; Chudý, Peter (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This thesis describes the way to create three-dimensional visualization of grass in computer graphic. Contains progress of grass visualization from past to present. Contains shader intro and its use for visualization. Text mention scene graph which has been used for implementation. Text describes three levels of detail and implemetation of waving grass. Text compares frame speed for each level of grass and frame speed for complete visualized grass.
Interactive Manipulation with 3D Objects in Virtual Space with Using Microscribe 3D Scanner - 3D Mouse
Bělín, Jan ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is concerned with making manipulator for digitizer MicroScribe, that can be in present found at Department of computer graphics and multimedia at Faculty of information technology at Brno University of technology. Reader becomes acquainted with theory of matrixes and three-dimensional transformations at the beginning and then the communication with digitizer MicroScribe is explained. At last parts of this thesis is reader introduced into concept and implementation of manipulator itself.
3D Triangles Polygonal Mesh Conversion on 3D Spline Surfaces
Jahn, Zdeněk ; Španěl, Michal (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with the problem of the remeshing of unstructured triangular 3D meshes to more suitable representations ( quadrilateral meshes or spline surfaces ). It explains the basic problems related with the unstructured meshes and the reasons for its solution. It classifies the usable methods, describes the most suitable candidates briefly. It follows the chosen method in detail - both the theoretical matter and the specific implementation.
3D Objects Reconstruction from Image Data
Cír, Filip ; Kršek, Přemysl (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This paper deals with 3D reconstruction of objects from image data. There is describes theoretical basis of the 3D optical scanning. Handheld 3D optical scanner setup is described composed of a single camera and a line laser whose position is fixed with respect to the camera. Set of image markers and a simple real-time detection algorithm are proposed. Detected markers are used to estimate position and orientation of the camera. Finally, laser detection and triangulation of points lying on object surface are discussed.
Interactive Tool for 3D Polygonal Models Modification
Vondrášek, Petr ; Herout, Adam (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This work aims at 3D polygonal models editation in alternative way by local surface deformation in direction of the surface normal.
Database Archive of Image Medical Data
Sára, Vítězslav ; Chmelař, Petr (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This Thesis deals with the problems of medical image data management. It analyzes a metadata extraction problem from medical format DICOM and their efficient saving. System is designed as a client-server application. System provides an interface for DICOM data storing, interface for searching, data editing and exporting. System cooperatives with the collaborative system VCE. Implementation was carried out in C++ and PHP language with support of SQLite and MySQL database.

Luner, Radek ; Švub, Miroslav (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
This work deals with the problem of creating billiard simulator. It explains basic physic notions required for designing physical system. Describes basic scheme of general simulator and its implementation.
Interactive Manipulation with 3D Objects with Force Feedbeck
Bělín, Jan ; Chudý, Peter (referee) ; Kršek, Přemysl (advisor)
Physical haptic interaction is added to the modern manipulation with objects in virtual space. In content of this master's thesis the haptic technology is represented by SensAble Phantom Omni device and OpenHaptics toolkit, which is related to the device. Reader is initially introduced into mathematical basics of manipulation and into haptic technology history including current state. The introduction into Openhaptics toolkit follows as well as HDAPI and HLAPI libraries description. As a result of this theoretical basics demo aplications have been created, that show basic and advanced abilities of the Phantom Omni device. Demos represent the functionality of the device as examples integrating well-known elementary physical laws and events.
Image and Video Processing on Mobile Phones
Gazdík, Martin ; Kršek, Přemysl (referee) ; Španěl, Michal (advisor)
This paper deals with image and video processing on Symbian OS smartphones. Description of required development tools is given, and pros and cons of existing image processing applications are discussed. Afterwards, a new application, fast image viewer and editor, is designed keeping disadvantages of similar applications in mind. Purpose of this work is to make simple and fast tool for easy manipulation with integrated camera and captured images. Results and future development directions are at the end.
Stereoscopic Face Images Matching
Klaudíny, Martin ; Kršek, Přemysl (referee) ; Zemčík, Pavel (advisor)
This thesis is dedicated to the problem of 3D face capture. A majority of current face capture systems exploits a pattern projection. The goal of thesis was to develop the 3D face capture system based on the passive stereo photogrammetry. The high-resolution images of a face are captured by one pair of the calibrated digital still cameras. The image pre-processing consists of the removal of lens distortion, rectification of image pair and face extraction. The stereo image matching is accentuated. Three different approaches to the stereo correspondence search are presented - the local technique, the global technique using a graph cut and the hybrid technique merging previous two. At last, the 3D model is reconstructed according to the found correspondence. The results show that the high-quality 3D face models can be obtained despite traditional difficulties with matching pattern-free face images. Also it is possible to keep the computational demands on the acceptable level, although the high-resolution images are processed.
