Goal of the thesis is to present main topics of L. S. Vygotsky's cultural-historical theory, especially with respect to the question of nature and character of human being. It's focused on philosophical and scientifical sources of the cultural-historical theory and the development of Vygotsky's thinking during his professional career. It attempts to picture his concept in the context of his life, as well as in the context of ideas and historic events of his era.

Reality as a system phenomenon

The thesis deals with relations between the way we construct our reality and human existence in terms of its biological, psychic and social system consequences. It is also concerned with the way we construct our reality through communication. The theories discussed in this thesis can be generally described as constructivist or systemic. In the second part of the thesis we applied the prototype approach to a study of understanding of the term "reality" in laymen population. The research was two-phased. In the first phase we acquired statements on what is understood under the term "reality". We then categorized the statements. In the second phase the categories were rated by the subjects on a Likert-type scale. The outcome of our study are some content definitions of the term "reality". Key

Merleau-Ponty and the beginings

This work whishes to open phenomenological paradigm in child psychology. It is inspired by the philosophy of Maurice Merleau-Ponty. It, at first, foreshadows his thinking, which is not very extended in czech psychology. So, it discusses the relationship between psychology and phenomenology too. Then it tends to put down how it is possible to understand some aspects of infant perception. The pivotal part of the work is a consideration about the nature of the "beginings" of our life and about how their conception influences developmental psychology at all. We try to find out what gives a fashion and direction to the development of man. Hier, it takes advantage also from others fenomenological authors. The result of this work is summary of the phenomenological view on child and it's development. It suggestes non-privative conception of child and it's world. It couldn't be uderstanded only as an imperfect wolrd of adults. We show, that the task of the other people is rather "to introduce" a child to the world.

Specifics of managerial communication in an intercultural environment

We have decided to get involved into the research project "managerial communication specifics within multicultural environment" due to two reasons. Firstly, this topic has been widely discussed since the 90s boom of foreign investments in the Czech republic, secondly, multicultural compames deal more and more with the issue of communication misunderstandings due to different styles in leading and motivating people. Czech and German cultures have become particularly attractive, though. There are many historical links, we live next to each other and there is a lively business cooperation. Corporate culture represents a large range of individua! aspects that are to be taken into consideration: national culture, communication pattems, manners and cultural habits, history, intercultural relations and key persona! characterics and skills of mangers. We appreciate a kind and open contribution of top managers working within Czech and German companies that were involved into the project. Our research involves three stages: I. 74 managers on middle and top positions from different companies were asked about the most frequent critical situations in intercultural communication. Their resposes were transfered into final questionnaires and cartoon situations and that is why represented key criteria for the next research....

Family upbringing and interaction tendencies of adolescent personality

Řada psychologických výzkumů i praktických poradenských zkušeností ukazuje, že rodina je jednou z nejzákladnějších sociálních determinant vývoje dítěte. Její formativní působení na rozvoj jedince je dnes jíž, byf v různé míře, všeobecně uznáváno a přijímáno. Způsobem výchovy v rodině, jakožto jedním ze základních sledovatelných parametrů působení rodičů na formování dítěte, jsem se zabývala již ve své diplomové práci, kde jsem sledovala jeho vliv na oblíbenost žáka ve třídě, tedy na jeden z parametrů začlenění dítěte do vrstevnických vztahů. Výzkum, realizovaný s více jak třemi sty studenty ve věku 15-19 let, potvrdil větší oblibu těch žáků, jejichž způsob výchovy v rodině byl s ohledem na emoční vztah v rodině a způsob řízení klasifikován jako příznivý. Dále byla prokázána statisticky významná souvislost emočního vztahu rodičů k dítěti v rodině s oblíbeností žáka ve škole a v neposlední řadě pak nezanedbatelné působení způsobu výchovného řízení v rodině, kdy bylo potvrzeno, že silná a střední forma výchovného řízení pozitivně působí na příznivé přijímání žáka ve školní třídě. Způsob výchovy v rodině však neovlivňuje jen tyto vnější interakční pozorovatelné složky osobnosti. Významnou měrou se podílí též na rozvíjení emočních charakteristik osobnosti. Je zřejmé, že například emoční vztahy k dítěti v rodině...

Personality profile of Czech hooligans

Mladí fanoušci a diváci tvoří pevnou a již dávno zcela neodmyslitelnou součást moderního profesionálního fotbalu. Stali se součástí hry, jednak nepostradatelní pro hráče jako motivující podpora z hlediště, avšak právě tak potřební pro média coby platící spotřebitelé nejen fotbalového, ale v podstatě jakéhokoliv průmyslového zboží. Ať už ale budeme návštěvníky stadionů označovat jakkoliv, je jisté, že se v žádném případě nejedná o homogenní masu, nýbrž o řadu oddělených skupin, lišících se motivy i projevy chování. Fenomén kultury fotbalových fanoušků se dostává do popředí zájmu médií a potažmo široké veřejnosti zejména tehdy, dojde-li formy násilných výtržností. Agresivně vedené bitky uvnitř i vně stadionů, právě tak jako útoky na hrací plochu včetně hráčů, provázejí fotbal2 od samých počátků (Pearson, 1983, str. 28). Již ve svých počátcích, jež se dají vysledovat až do 1 O. století po Kristu (Macho, 1996, str. 11 ), byl tehdejší fotbal bojovnou lidovou hrou bez jasného rozlišení mezi hráči a diváky, na níž se mohlo podílet 500 až 1000 aktérů (Schulze-Marmeling, 1995, str. 11 ). "Lidový fotbal byl nanejvýš drsnou a brutální událostí, při níž pravidelně docházelo k těžkým zraněním a ojediněle dokonce k úmrtím" (Schulze-Marmeling, 1992, str.15). Evaluation of thermo-visco-elastic properties of FKM rubber at shear loading

In this contribution results of experimental works aimed at the temperature influence on dynamic behaviour of rubber segments VITON (FKM) are summarized, especially the determination of elastomer modulus and loss factor. Two specimens were loaded by static prestress in the normal direction and follow-up track control in the slide. The expression of pressure force was determined. The realized method allowed to reach the pressure force on screws about 20 kN. The course of pressure force and warming of specimen were monitored and evaluated. The processing method was modify for exciting frequency. The visco-elastic parameters were evaluated from measure time course of exciting, response and inner temperature.
