The Analysis of drawing subsidies from the Regional Operational Programme NUTS II South - West

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of drawing subsidies provided by Regional Operational Programme NUTS II South - West in the period 2007 - 2013. The aim is to find the allocation in the priority axis and also the territorial allocation of these subsidies. In the first part the regional policy of the Czech Republic and its possibility to draw subsidies provided by the funds of the European Union is described in brief. Then a short socioeconomic characterization of the cohesion region NUTS II South - West is made. Also the Regional Operational Programme NUTS II South - West, which relates to this cohesion region, is characterized. In the practical part the analysis and summarization of drawing subsidies provided by the mentioned Regional operational programme are made. The analysis of the territorial allocation of the authorized subsidies is also included.
The analysis of drawing financial resources from the EU structural funds in the Liberec region

This bachelor thesis deals with the analysis of drawing financial resources from the EU structural funds in the Liberec region in the programming period 2007-2013. The theoretical part defines the position of regional policy in the Czech Republic, its development, legislative and institutional arrangements. The thesis also presents a complex structure of strategic and program documents and briefly describes the course of project management as an essential part of drawing support from EU funds. The practical part describes the Liberec region, and then analyzes the success of applicants in drawing money from EU funds. The observed data are assessed within the framework of operational programmes and compared with the total support of the Czech Republic. The success rate of applicants is also determined by comparing submitted and approved projects in the Liberec region .
Cost-Benefit analysis of Public Projects

Public projects are still subject of heated discussions, especially with the respect to their efficiency that is usually not sufficient enough. In spite of existence of many ways how to increase their efficiency, it is readily possible to identify one fundamental criterion which is high-quality information for decision-making. It is important to deliver high-quality information to those who make decision in order to reduce wastage of the public funds on not efficient public projects. All substantial information about effects incurred by project's realization can be offered by the Cost-Benefit analysis. The Cost Benefit analysis should be prepared for each significant public project to prevent from realization of ineffective ones. It is essential to process each Cost-Benefit analysis in required qualitative level for making right decision. Purpose of this thesis is appraisal of usefulness of the Cost-Benefit analysis for specific purposes of the public sector and assessment of indexes used in the Analysis. In the thesis will be introduced public projects, related public sector and evaluation of public projects. Subsequently, the Cost-Benefit analysis itself will be presented as well as steps for processing high-quality Cost-Benefit analysis. The emphasis will be focused at discount rate and its determination, since I consider it as the critical issue of the Cost-Benefit analysis. A practical example of the Cost-Benefit analysis will be presented at the end of this thesis.
Comparison of the model of spatial planning in Sweden with the model used in the Czech Republic

Bachelor thesis Comparison of the model of spatial planning in Sweden with the model used in the Czech Republic describes the planning models in these two countries. In the case of Sweden, it is a model of spatial planning. The Czech planning model is divided into two different units -- regional and urban planning. The work is divided into four separated parts. The first part is devoted to the characteristics of Sweden in terms of socio-economic structure, which is the basis for the description of the Swedish planning model. Another part focuses on models of planning in both countries. The main part of this work consists of the comparison of the two models; the spatial / territorial and the regional planning. Furthermore, the project will discuss the determination of identical and different features and will also describe the advantages and disadvantages of the Swedish model of planning in relation to the Czech model.
Spatial planning system in Greece and its comparation with the Czech Republic

The main topic of the bachelor thesis is a characteristic of a model of spatial planning in Greece and its comparation with dual-planning model used in the Czech Republic. The first section contains the definition of basic concepts of spatial respectively land-use/regional planning. The basis of the thesis consists of analysis of planning systems in Greece and the Czech Republic and their comparison. Input basis for this analysis is socioeconomic characteristics of Greece. The analysis of used system contains outlines the institutional and legislative environment of the country. The aim of this bachelor thesis is based on an analysis of planning models capture the essential differences and common features of models of planning in both of the selected country.
Strategic Development of the village Nová Ves u Českých Budějovic

This thesis deals with strategic development of the village called Nová Ves u Českých Budějovic. The theoretical part of the thesis describes the most important aspects of regional and municipal development, and then characterizes the process of strategic planning and provides guidance on the preparation of the strategic plan for municipal development. The practical is focused on complete socio-economic analysis and SWOT analysis of the village Nová Ves. Based on this analysis, then identifies the key development opportunities and barriers and suggested the basic development activities.
Možnosti využití metody PPP v ČR

Government of Czech republic approved in May this year concession project in two pilot PPP projects, which opens up new possibilities of implementation and the provision of costly public goods in the Czech Republic. In his thesis, I will refer to the use of methods of public-private partnerships in the implementation of individual projects in the Czech Republic. In the theoretical description for the situation it is appropriate to this method (including the exact type) to use as a stage where it is better to use the method of procurement. Furthermore, I will give a legislative framework of PPP projects in EU countries and selected non-member countries. The practical part is focus on specific PPP projects that are in the Czech Republic are beginning to realize and I assess their risks, advantages and disadvantages in comparison with the already carried out projects in abroad and it is not convenient to deal with such projects through public-private partnerships. The aim of this thesis is to clarify the existing conditions of the possible impact on use of the PPP
Social and economic develepment of town Jihlava

This bachelor work deals with study of factors affecting development of town Jihlava. These factors are described in first analytic part. Then follow SWOT analysis. I tis concerned about population, economics, housing, environment, travel movement and infrastructure(civil, technical, traffic). In the next part of work are solved strategic and planning ducuments. In this part of work is described how this documents are take into account.
The participation of citizens in the decision processes in connection with the construction of the Prague highway bypass

The topic of this Ba thesis is the set of issues concerning the communication between public sector bodies and the public itself. The first section is focused on the theoretical framework of this subject, as it contains definitions of the basic terms used in civil service communication. The second part of the text deals with a specific construction problem; namely, the construction of the Prague highway bypass in the Praha-Suchdol quarter. Special attention is paid to the participation of citizens in the decision making process, when the issues have direct influence over their daily life and local development. My aim is to outline the way this problem is discoursed with the citizens of Suchdol and which means of influencing the bypass construction are available to them. My thesis is structured so that the theoretical framework from the first part may be applied in this particular case study concerning the Praha-Suchdol quarter.

Táto práca pojednáva o vyhodnotení efektívnosti developerského projektu Průmyslová. Je zameraná na finančne-ekonomickú stránku projektu, ktorá vychádza zo stanovenia diskontnej sadzby s plánovaných peňažných tokov. Taktiež posudzuje ekonomickú efektívnosť a finančnú stabilitu daného projektu.
