Design of Environment for Many-Core Systems Debugging
Klčo, Michal ; Matula, Peter (referee) ; Hynek, Jiří (advisor)
This thesis describe problem of debugging many-core systems using the integrated development environments. It presents some of the integrated environments, debuggers, their features and analyse them. This thesis also describe designs and implementation of modifications of these tools that helps user to debug many-core system more efficiently and comfortable.
Design and Implementation of a Profiler for ASIPs
Richtarik, Pavel ; Hynek, Jiří (referee) ; Zachariášová, Marcela (advisor)
The major objective of this work is to analyse possibilities of profiling application specific instruction-set processors, to explore some common profiling techniques and to use the collected information to design and implement a new profiling tool suitable for utilization in the processors development and optimization. This bachelor thesis presents requirements on the new profiler and describes its key parts from the design and the implementation perspective.
Semi-Automatic Optimization Using Specialized Instructions
Mikó, Albert ; Hynek, Jiří (referee) ; Masařík, Karel (advisor)
The design of instruction sets for application specific processors is a difficult task. This thesis describes the tasks of selection, marking and creation of instruction set extensions for application specific processors. The presented semiautomatic method provides the user with a simple way to select instruction set extensions by marking a section of source code in the application. The creation of the new instruction in the modelling language itself is solved automatically. Thanks to this the user can concentrate his efforts on tasks where human ingenuity and experience can be used the most.
SIMD Instructions Support in LLVM Compiler
Šnobl, Pavel ; Hynek, Jiří (referee) ; Masařík, Karel (advisor)
This bachelor thesis deals with support of automatic vectorization of code in the LLVM compilation framework and with extension of Codix processor model of SIMD instructions. As a result, LLVM is able to create reports about the process of auto-vectorization and it is possible to use special pragma directives to provide the compiler with additional information for optimizations of programs. Also a way of providing information about architectures of processors created using development environment Codasip Framework, needed for more effective vectorization, is introduced and implemented. Finally a set of integer vector instructions and related new registers for Codix is chosen and added to the model.
Design of class AB audio power amplifier
Hynek, Jiří ; Kratochvíl, Tomáš (referee) ; Brančík, Lubomír (advisor)
his thesis is focused on a proposal of an audio power amplifier of class AB with minimum capacity of 2 x 80 Watt and with a possibility to control the frequency characteristics, volume and balance. An usage of this proposal is wide today. The proposal is designed to be made from common available components. This thesis includes proposal of an acceptable power supply and proposal of an active cooling elements.
Profiling Perspective in Eclipse
Hynek, Jiří ; Přikryl, Zdeněk (referee) ; Hruška, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis is concerned by question of creation a new plug-in for software development enviroment Eclipse. Product of this work is the view intended for profiling perspective of software development enviroment of project Lissom based on Eclipse. The aim of the view is draw call graphs defined by data from XML structure.
Processor Models Creation Using ADL Language
Steinhauser, Dominik ; Hynek, Jiří (referee) ; Hruška, Tomáš (advisor)
Goal of this bachelor thesis is to create instruction level models of two processors Tensilica Xtensa and Sparc Leon. Models were implemented in CodAL language. Development, simulation and testing took place in Codasip Studio, an IDE developed by Codasip company. Application Specific Instruction-Set Processors can be implemented from scratch or already implemented processor can be modified to meet needs of specific aplication. My models will be added to portfolio of Codasip company to be used and modified by the user of Codasip Studio. Result of this work are tested models of these two processors. Simulator, assembler and C language compiler of these processors can be generated. Models were compared by several Benchmark tests and results were analyzed.
Optimization of a Processor Core for the OpenCV Library
Benna, Filip ; Hynek, Jiří (referee) ; Hruška, Tomáš (advisor)
This bachelor's thesis deals with compilation of OpenCV library with Codix RISC processor core as the target machine and following optimization of chosen applications based on this library. Process of optimization is based on extensibility of the processor core, therefore this thesis theoretically describes and also shows on example extending the processor's instruction set with vector instructions. The thesis also contains the results of the optimization and their comparison with the not optimized application.
Construction-technological project of housing estate Nové Medlánky, section F
Hynek, Jiří ; Mohapl,, Martin (referee) ; Šlanhof, Jiří (advisor)
The master´s thesis deals with the constructive-technological project of dwelling house. The project includes a technical report, an operating regulativ of substructure carcassing of a main building object, time and financial schedule, building site, quality and safety requirement. The work is based on the project for implementation.
Distributed optical fiber sensors
Hynek, Jiří ; Šifta, Radim (referee) ; Münster, Petr (advisor)
Nowdays, optical fibers are one of important parts of computer networks, especially for their ability to transfer information for long distance. This thesis doesn´t utilize optical fibers as carriers, but as sources of information, specifically as sensors intended to detect physical effects acting on the optical fiber, which is usually used for telecommunication purposes. Linear and nonlinear properties of the fiber are used to gain information about acting effects on the optical fiber.
