Religiosity and Its Development in ČR

This bachelor thesis deals with the development of religiosity in the Czech Republic after the year 1989. Its aim is to give a short summary of this 20 year-long period. As a necessary introduction the historical context is summarized in the first chapter. The second chapter is focused on the position of churches during the time of the velvet revolution. The next chapter describes the social changes that happened after the revolution and shows the position of the churches in the society. The fourth chapter is analysing the population censii results of the Czech Statistical Office. Its aim is to give an overview of our traditional religious scene. It also mentions some research work that was done in this area. The fifth chapter is dealing with the phenomenon of new religious movements and their activities in our country. A few of them are characterised at the end of the chapter. The last chapter gives a summary about the most important facts.

Historical development of Britisch Labour Party since 1900 to 2001

The diploma thesis describes the development of British Labour Party from its foundation in 1900 to the end of the first term of Tony Blair's government. The work focuses on the ideological development of the party in historical context. The party was founded as a left-wing organisation, supporting the working class, collaborating with trade unions and its main aim was nationalization of the means of production and establishing of socialism in Britain. The party left this aim at the end of 20th century by the revision of its constitution it claimed to be a modern social democracy, which supports capitalism. The kernel of the problems is in the so called "revisionist era", i.e. from 50th of 20th century to 90th of 20th century, when Blair became a leader. Then the party was labeled as New Labour Party and it introduced itself as an organisation with its own concept of the Third Way. The work is based mainly on publications of British political scientists, whose works have not been translated yet into a Czech language.

In my thesis "The Czech Republic and its Membership in the European Union - social-economic consequences" is described the history of the European Union and the integration of the Czech Republic into this integration coalition. The aim of this thesis is above all to evaluate the impact of membership of the Czech Republic in the European Union on our national economic situation and on social-economic situation of our citizens, in addition, to inform readers about opinions of people living in the region of Beroun on the membership of the Czech Republic in the European Union.

Unemployment and its Socio-economic Results in Mělník

V první polovině devadesátých let 20. století se míra registrované nezaměstnanosti v České republice pohybovala kolem 3 %, proto se Česká republika řadila mezi státy s minimální nezaměstnaností. V důsledku zpomalení hospodářského růstu i díky snižování pracovních míst začala nabídka pracovních sil převyšovat poptávku. To se Odrazilo i v růstu nezaměstnanosti na celém území České republiky, i když nezaměstnanost v České republice nabývá čistě regionálního charakteru. Nezaměstnanost je opravdu problémem, který je třeba řešit. Nezpůsobuje totiž jen ekonomické problémy, které člověka vedou až na hranici chudoby, ale její důsledky jsou též sociální, kdy může dlouhodobé nezaměstnanost vést až k alkoholismu či kriminalitě, psychologické, kam patří zejména deprese, ztráta sebevědomí a zesilování pocitu vlastní bezcennosti a neužitečnosti pro okolí, a zdravotní - prokázalo se totiž, že nezaměstnaný člověk je náchylnější k nemocem.

Socio-political Aspects of the Development of the Non-profit Sector in the Czech Republic

The first part of this diploma paper concentrates on modern concepts of civil society and definition of nongovernmental sector as an institutionalised part of civil society. In the second part it summarizes the main periods of the development of the non-profit sector in the Czech State from 19 century until 1989. The third part illustrates the image of the non-profit sector in the Czech republic since 1989. It analyzes the discursive controversy over the notion of civil society between two Czech presidents - Vaclav Havel a Vaclav Klaus. It also describes four different types of organizations that constitute the non-profit sector. It analyzes the role, character, financing and classification of Czech non-profit sector, including a description of the barriers which the nongovernmental sector in the Czech Republic faces in the context of complex social processes.

Diplomová práce Děti, mládež a televize (analýza televizních pořadů pro děti a mládež) se zabývá problematikou masové komunikace a masových médií a jejich rolí ve volném čase dětí a mládeže. Těžiště práce spočívá v analýze televizních pořadů pro děti a televizního programu z hlediska mládeže jako televizního publika, které vysílají české celoplošné televizní stanice, v níž je sledován podíl pořadů pro děti na vysílání a konfrontován televizní program s definovanými diváckými preferencemi a očekáváními mládeže i s potenciálními negativními jevy, jež mohou televizní pořady obsahovat.
