Day dreaming

Annotation: Kaločová, V.: Day dreaming /MA thesis/ Praga 2010 - The Charles University, Pedagogical Faculty, Department od Art Education This work studies the area of day dreaming in the context of general education as well as visual arts education. It views day dreaming mainly as a device to develop creative thinking, and highlights its contribution to and importance for education as well as for personal character development, pointing out also the negative sides. In this thesis day dreaming is defined within psychology, pedagogy and artphiletics in a way that could be inspiring and contributing for education. In visual arts, dreaming is stressed especially there where painting coincides with poetry, and where it opens doors leading to creation of new worlds between consciousness and unconsciousness. Furthermore, this work deals with so-called "artwork dreaming", as a preparatory phase of artworks. The main issue of the theoretical part is poetics of day dreaming, which, as well as this work, tries to develop personal courage for creative thinking. Poetic dreaming is viewed as the highest, which contrives to stimulate us, harmonizes our senses, and helps us dwell in this world. Cycle - metamorphoses of stone

The thesis explains the metamorphoses of stone seen in different contexts both natural and social. The metamorphosis of stone properties and its shape is presented on the basis of the natural processes taking place in the nature. The change of the relevance and function of the stone is seen in parallels of stone perception in the past and today. The core of the whole thesis is an effort to defend the place and values of the natural forms - stones for a human being in the present world. The thesis further deals with the use of "metamorphoses of stone" in fine art. The practical part contains a collection of "stone" objects created from different materials, completed by photos of objects in natural context of the present time. The didactic part is offering a possible application of the theme in art education.

This graduation theses deals mainly with theoretical themes. It deals with issues of art selected from the selected literature, works of art, Internet resources and empirical research probe. This thesis consists of two parts, the theoretical and practical one. The theoretical part consists of chapters that result from the mapping of three selected areas - identity, space and time. The practical part is focused on realization of two creative tasks that are based on art issues selected from the theoretical part of the text. One part of the text is also a reflection that deals with the nature of the area of thought, as stated in the literature studied, focused on the teaching primary schools. The thesis "City and Periphery" deals with the themes of evolution of modern city (focused on the 20th and 21st centuries) and its peripheries as inseparable segments. It is searching for possibilities and changes of understanding this phenomenon in terms of sociology and culture. Changing of chosen Prague locations is described and in their contexts this thesis surveys artistic denotation tightly connected with the city culture.

Tichá, E.: Tupesy ceramics traditions in the contemporary context. Education project from the beginning. /Diploma thesis/ Praha 2014, Univerzita Karlova v Praze, Pedagogická fakulta. The theses includes theoretical study and art project that are connected content by the theme of Tupesy pottery making. Based on the literature study and original sources it provides information about Tupesy ceramics, its history, tradition and technology, and puts this information into broader historical, cultural and artistic context. Own artefacts present traditional topic in the current context. The main contribution of this work is the author's proposal for a comprehensive pedagogical project based on traditional Tupesy ceramics, its implementation and evaluation.
