The relationship between postural stability and physical activities
Gryc, Tomáš ; Zahálka, František (advisor) ; Janura, Miroslav (referee) ; Vavák, Miroslav (referee)
In the study "The relationship between postural stability and physical activities", we focused on determining the level of postural stability and the possibility of influencing by appropriate means of exercise intervention in people with increased physical activity and persons with physical limitations. Persons with increased physical activity were top players and players competing in various sports (football, handball, volleyball, golf) and those with physical limitations, patients suffering from diseases that have a negative impact on postural stability (Friedrich's ataxia, autosomal dominant spinocerebellar ataxia, Charlot-Marie- Tooth). Upright posture in stance and movement is a fundamental prerequisite for human bipedal locomotion. Postural stability is the ability to maintain an upright posture, which advises the motor and coordination skills, and its meaning is close to equilibrium abilities. Maintaining an upright posture is ensured by muscle activity, which is controlled by the central nervous system based on information from internal and external environment. Control of postural stability is the primary prerequisite for successful movement and as such it can be developed on the basis of appropriate physical activities. All methods of measuring static and dynamic postural stability can be...

Vyhnálek, Vojtěch ; Gryc, Tomáš (advisor) ; Červinka, Pavel (referee)
Title: The difference in kinematic and kinetic parameters of running using running shoes, barefoot and shod Objectives: The aim of this bachelor thesis is to analyze the kinematic and kinetic parameters of running using different types of shoes. We tested a sample of four probands aged 20-25 years male. Using applied clusters, we examined the differences in individual runs. Methods: The experiment was attended by 4 runners (men only) who completed a monitored run on a 3D running ergometer at several speeds. A CODA Motion System 3D kinematic analyzer with the appropriate ODIN software was used to evaluate the kinematic parameters, and a 3D running ergometer with implemented power plates and h / p cosmos designed software was used to evaluate the kinetic parameters. The measurements were one-time. The obtained data were processed in Microsoft Excel 2019, where the tables used in this work were created. Results: All subjects demonstrated an immediate change in technique during the transition from running shoes to minimalist shoes and then barefoot. The most significant changes took place in the tread angle, the ankle angle, the cadence of the steps and the force produced by the impact. However, changes in the monitored parameters did not lead to the correct running technique in barefoot shoes, which...

Kotrba, Milan ; Gryc, Tomáš (advisor) ; Šťastný, Petr (referee)
Title Ball flight control with wedges in amateur golf players Objectives The aim of the study was to determine level of ball's flight distance control and its relaitionship to the current and long-term performance of the elite amateur golfers. Methods The research sample was consisted of 10 selected right-handed golfers of the elite amateur level (age = 22 ± 3 years, height 186 ± 13 cm, weight 81 ± 20.5 kg, HCP 1,2 ± 3,4). Probands task was to hit 15 strokes. At each of the tested distances (45 m, 55 m, 65 m, 75 m and 85 m) the player played three strokes. The TrackMan 4 3D Doppler Radar (TrackMan, Denmark) was used to determine tested parameters. The results were recorded in individual protocols and then processed in Microsoft Excel, which was also used to obtain basic statistics: mean, standard deviation, variation range, and percentage deviation from the target. Percentage deviation from target was calculated as a percentage of total deviation from target distance. We used program R v3.5.2 (Vienna, Austria) for statistical evaluation of the relationship between ball distance control and performance. The relationship between the parameters was evaluated using the Pearson correlation coefficient. Results In the research it was found that players with lower handicap are mainly achieving better...

Benešová, Amálie ; Gryc, Tomáš (advisor) ; Prokešová, Eva (referee)
Title: Structural and functional asymmetry in golfers aged 12 - 18 Objectives: The aim of this study was to determine the level of body composition parametres, postural stability, muscle shortening and joint mobility of junior golfers and identify and analyze structural and functional asymmetry. Methods: The 14 golfers participated in this study (n=14, age 15,8 ± 1 year, body height 174,5 ± 10 cm, body weight 67,6 ± 13 kg and HCP 5,4 ± 5,9). Body composition including segmental muscle's weight distribution was tested on a bioimpedance instrument Tanita (Japan). Furthermore, the postural stability was examined on the Footscan (Balance 7.6 software) in 4 positions (USOO, USZO, FL_L and FL_P). The kinesiological analysis made by physiotherapist mainly tested muscle shortening and asymmetry using Janda's muscle function tests (1996). The dependence between the measured data was determined by the Pearson coefficient. Results: The average muscle's weight distribution was 2 % higher in the lower right leg, 3,1 % higher in the upper right arm compared with the left limbs. Asymmetry was also found in postural stability (average difference between stability on the right and left lower extremities was 25.9 %). Muscle shortening was found in more than 70 % of probands in hamstrings and quadriceps femoris,....
