Asylum Policy in the Czech Republic in perspective of the Common European Asylum System

The diploma thesis entitled "Asylum policy of the Czech Republic in perspective of the Common European Asylum System" describes and analyses the contemporary asylum policy from the national point of view as well as from the European. The represented asylum legislation of the Czech Republic and its application is set into the context of the Common European Asylum System. The thesis discusses the position of applicants for international protection. They apply for this status either immediately after crossing the border or after expiration of their residence permit. This thesis concerns legal or illegal entry or residence as well as the whole procedure described. This is initiated by the application for international protection, it continues over search of the persons, interviews and asylum reception centre and it leads to the final decision by eventually granting international protection status. The authoress also tries to define practical aspects of the international protection seekers staying in the asylum centres. This paper is also focused on other possibilities of unsuccessful applicants above all it means voluntary repatriation.

Prescription action of Czech doctors in prescribing hormonal contraceptives

Bachelor Thesis "Prescription action of Czech doctors in prescribing hormonal contraceptives" disserts on quality of health care on the field of gynecological practice and prescription of a specific group of pharmaceuticals - hormonal contraceptives. The goal of this Thesis is to evaluate decision making and action of doctors in the context of current precautions related to hormonal contraception with regard to potential risks that may inappropriate prescription represent for female patients. The part of this evaluation is not only the investigation of the system in which the prescription takes place, but also the identification of the main factors that effect the doctor and his decision taking. Last but not least, the Thesis mentions the control mechanisms that monitor the prescription action of the doctor and the accordance of his decisions with recommended physician's prescriptions, legislation and common ethics. The Thesis is targeted mainly on risks related to prescription action anomal from these norms and tries to point out the importance of the correct prescription (suitable for the particular female patient and based on independent, professional knowledge) and its control from the point of view of the patient's health. Insufficient provision of services of day care for preschoolers in the CR

The subject of the work, the issue of day care services and education for children in preschool age - older then 3 years in Czech and related issues that fundamentally affect the status and development of the family in society. The research questions are analyzed in the work of the current supply situation of preschool education and children's education, further developments in this area and the practicality of various measures in response to the current system. In this work there are applied the theoretical background to map the social and economic development of Czech society, families with children. In principle, this work is based on the Beck theory, theory of risk, the human capital theory (J.Mincer), the theory of life quality by J.Džuka or theories of social capital by J.S.Coleman. Among the methods that are used in this work include the analysis of actors structuring the objectives in the form of so-called "tree," and defined public policy problem and its causes (effects) incl. graphic processing in the form of so-called "problem tree" analysis of the legal framework, comparative analysis and strategic analysis of relevant documents. Access to healthcare for third countries migrants in the Czech Republic

This Ph.D. thesis discusses the evolution and current situation regarding availability of healthcare for third countries migrants in the Czech Republic. In terms of methodology, the author has chosen a qualitative approach. The research design is a historical case study. The thesis uses a combination of "desk research" and empirical survey based on 56 in-depth interviews with migrants, healthcare providers and experts who come into contact with migrants during the course of their work. Based on the approach of historical institutionalism, the author is explaining policy of migrants' health insurance evolution in Czech Republic since 1993 till today. The author identifies the key events and the roles of particular actors within the observed "sub- system" of public policy. From the viewpoint of migrants and healthcare providers, the thesis also presents how the current institutionalised set-up of migrants' health policy transfers into the real access to healthcare for migrants. It also identifies the main barriers to health care accessibility and the consequences of possible health care unavailability. Capabilities and bariers in social worker's profession in Usti region

This theses, called "Chances and restrains in social worker's profession in Ústí region" is dealing with social worker's profession in self-government context. It's setting off social workers from non-profit organizations. During beginning it's talking about theoretical basis, inevitably bound with social work's field, with focusing on social worker as part of assisting profession. It is, in particular, about opportunities or on the contrary about restrains/limits/barriers, which affects this field of specific self- governing area - Štětí city. Concretely it is about participants, which have here influence on life of local people/potential clients. All under surveillance of superior agency - higher self-government area - social work's methodologists of Ústí region. Research part of this thesis is based on semi-structured interview of previously mentioned participants, which gives overlook how each and every one of them sees limitations in practical social work's overlooks.
