Derivational Morphology of Czech on Large Corpus Data
Faltusová, Marie ; Dytrych, Jaroslav (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
Subject of this thesis is study of word formation in the Czech language. The main aim is to create a module acquiring derivations from data of the electronic Dictionary of the Czech Language. This problematics has been solved by constructing three-level processing based on dictionary data. The first level is to obtain derivations from lemma definitions, the second step is making groups of basic forms according to their similarities, and the third stage is the evaluation of derivation pairs by number tag of derivation class to which they belong. I have managed to get more than 4 500 new words and evaluate over 20 000 derivative couples. The module has become a full-fledged part of the Morphological Analyzer of the Knowledge Technology Research Group, working at the Faculty of Information Technology of the Brno University of Technology.

Partly devoted to filling in areas and thresholding, as the basic method of segmentation. The thesis is divided into two parts. The first part deals with the theoretical analysis of the various morphological operations and is divided into four chapters. The first chapter deals with basic concepts used in morphology and basic operations on binary and gray-tone images. The second chapter deals with the segmentation threshold, which is relevant for pre-treatment image. The third chapter describe the basic methods for filling areas. The last chapter deals with various functions necessary to implement the various operations in the sample application. The second part contains the actual implementation of applications.
The Gallery of Brno Grand Prix
Sikora, Zbigniew ; Boleslavská, Yvona (referee) ; Žalmanová, Petra (advisor)
The main task of this thesis was to create an architectural study of The Gallery of Brno Grand Prix based on previous urban study from previous semester works. The proposal is focused on the iconic circuit’s former glory restoration, on providing new content for raceway complex and creating decent and presentable place for the presentation of the rich history of Czech and Czechoslovak motorsport. The result is a study of an object that meets these needs while respecting the historical and morphological values of the place. The building creates new themed attraction and creates the potential for further development of near circuit.
Information Technologies in Psychology
Ižák, Tomáš ; Fapšo, Michal (referee) ; Smrž, Pavel (advisor)
This work is interested in possibilities of personal character's recognition from text data with computer contribution. It's based on Kreitler & Kreitler method that's why it's focused on separating sentences into meaning units, assigning a dimension to a meaning unit and gaining characters of author (neuroticism and extroversion) from meaning unit's dimensions.
Metallurgy and properties of heavy steel castings
Kubík, Jiří ; Čech, Jan (referee) ; Záděra, Antonín (advisor)
The work deals with the determination of the chemical composition and morphology of inclusions in experimental casting foundry in operating conditions as ŽĎAS in compliance with the optimum content appropriate deoxidation depending on the conditions of solidification. The introductory part is devoted to theoretical analysis of possible defects in castings. We also describe the experimental casting, sampling sites and their markings. Subsequently evaluated morphology microanalysis inclusions and the effect of inclusions on the mechanical properties and the formation of defects in the casting. The conclusion summarizes the results and proposal for further direction in the production of heavy steel castings.
CHALLENGE NAMED COUNTRYSIDE
Klumparová, Petra ; Ponešová, Barbora (referee) ; Havliš, Karel (advisor)
The diploma thesis deals with the topic of contemporary countryside. The result of the thesis - illustrative Manual originated from searching for the basic principles in the area of land-use planning. It focuses especially on urban issues and tries to answer some of them in a comprehensible form. Manual consists mostly of schematics, sketches, visualizations, etc. The issue of new construction and the so-called satellites become one of the key issues. The Manual offers an alternative for this land-grabbing style and it motivates to create a better environment. The basic principles are applied to a specific municipality. Consultation with nine village mayors could be considered as the added value of the work. Mayors shared their experience in building and planning and gave feedback on some chapters. Interesting mayor's remarks are are incorporated in the Manual. The appendix to the manual – Good Practice Examples brings inspiration for creation of regional architecture. The intention is to offer this Manual to all of those who are involved in the management of smaller municipalities.
Influence of Zinc Coating Morphology on Limit Conditions Formability of Thin Sheet Metal
Císařová, Michaela ; Suchánek, Jan (referee) ; Rusz, Stanislav (referee) ; Dvořák, Milan (advisor)
The doctor thesis deals about the influence of zinc coating morphology on limit conditions formability of a thin sheet metal. In the introduction of the thesis is discusesed about current problems searching the most suitable morphology of the steel sheet metals, a method of appliing to the zinc sheet metal. The hot dip zinc coating is discussed in next chapter, the topical knowledges about the influence of the individual factors have some effect to coat calibre and quality. In literary researchs are discussed the concrete technological tests of zinc coating to harder sheet metal forming, the theory of the bend and the basic theory of pressing sheet metal. In following chapter is devoted interpretation selected technological tests, according to that is described behaviour, characteristics, influence of zinc coating formability of basic material and his morphology.
Crystallization kinetics of PP impact copolymers
Krajčik, Ladislav ; Poláček, Petr (referee) ; Bálková, Radka (advisor)
In this bachelor thesis, the kinetics of crystallization was studied for three PP copolymers with ethylene-propylene rubber after multiple extrusion. The crystallization rate was determined from the diameter growth of spherulites with time. The growth was observed in-situ by polarizing optical microscope (POM). Isothermal melt-crystallization was investigated at three temperatures (135, 140 and 150 °C). The crystallization rate decreased with temperature for all samples and varied among particular samples the most likely due to the different structure (different polymerization technology). The third extrusion has not affected the crystallization rate compared with the first one. The ? and ß structure of PP was distinguished with help of the first order retardation plate together with determination of the types of spherulites. The lamellar thickening near the border of melt was observed for all samples that crystallized at 135 °C for a long time.
Modification of semiconductor nanowire growth
Pejchal, Tomáš ; Grym, Jan (referee) ; Kolíbal, Miroslav (advisor)
This diploma thesis deals with the growth of semiconductor nanowires on Ge(111) surface. The nanowires were prepared by means of PVD (physical vapor deposition). The growth was calatyzed by Au colloidal nanoparticles. An impact of different growth conditions on nanowire morfology is presented. It is demonstrated that Ge nanowires grow preferentially along axis. Ge wires with orientation were observed as well.
Synthesis of ceramic powder materials in the presence of the ultrasound field
Kočicová, Pavla ; Bartoníčková, Eva (referee) ; Částková, Klára (advisor)
The thesis concerns the synthesis Ceric Oxide, Samarium Oxide and Samarium doped Cerium Oxide. The theoretical part is focused on the characteristics, applications and possibilities of the Cerium Oxide synthesis. The experimental part describes the precipitation of the Cerium Oxide powder. The synthesis of the powders were proceeded in the normal conditions or in the presence of ultrasonic field. For the purposes of description of the ready powders the x-ray diffraction (XRD) and the raster electron microscopy (SEM) were used. The ceramics were made of the selected powders where the structure was described by SEM, the density by Archimedes´Method and the grain size by grid-line intersect method. Using the precipitation synthesis, the pure powders of Ceric Oxide, Samarium Oxide and Samarium doped Cerium Oxide were prepared. The powder morphology was strongly involved by the pH level and by ageing time. The ultrasound was accelerating the ageing. At the values of pH > 11 the rodlike particles were created. The ageing time and the ultrasound supported the creation of the rodlike particles. The ceramics made of the powder with the presence of the rodlike morphology showed the density up to 97,14% of the theoretical density.
